Booked a suite at the Hilton Jiaxing via Trip.com, and the experience far exceeded my expectations! Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the expansive space. The living room and bedroom were distinctly zoned, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a picturesque panorama of the city skyline blending with the serene lake. With the lights on at night, the ambiance was absolutely captivating.
Every detail in the suite showed thoughtful consideration: the bedding was cloud-soft, allowing me to drift off to sleep instantly. The bathroom featured a modern wet/dry separation and an oversized bathtub, perfect for soaking away a day's fatigue. The mini-bar was well-stocked with a great selection of drinks, instantly making it feel like a cozy home away from home.
The service was simply impeccable. Duty Manager Cathy provided a flawless response to all requests. Check-in at the front desk was quick and efficient, and room service was incredibly prompt – when I requested an extra pillow in the evening, it was delivered within minutes.
The breakfast the next day offered a huge variety, with both Chinese and Western options – definitely a must-try!
Whether for a business trip or a family vacation, this place offers a perfect experience. It has already been added to my go-to list for stays in Jiaxing!

Great location! Highly recommend! You can book reservations at the Zhaochake Hotel, which I also recommend. The butler service was excellent; they called me in advance and added me on WeChat. They picked me up at the visitor center for check-in, and my luggage was delivered. It's the best location in Wuzhen, highly recommended!

The experience at Yiwu Shangri-La was great! It's within walking distance to the International Trade City, making it perfect for business trips. Grace and Eileen at the front desk were efficient with check-in and very attentive. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, with good soundproofing. The breakfast offered a rich variety, including local specialties. Overall, it's highly recommended.

During the New Year's Day holiday, the hotel was swarming with guests. We arrived at 1 PM but couldn't check into our room until 3:30 PM. They initially said the room wasn't ready, but it turned out the direct drinking water system was broken, and maintenance staff were working on it. Even after we got into the room, it still wasn't fixed, so the hotel provided us with plenty of bottled water instead.
The room facilities themselves were quite good. However, the hotel's exterior was very dirty and poorly maintained, which unfortunately detracted from the overall check-in experience.
The hotel mattress was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bedding was also just right – not too thick, not too thin – so even with the air conditioning on, it felt pleasant. 👍
We went for breakfast past 8 AM and were surprised to find a very long queue. Luckily, everyone lined up in an orderly fashion.
Improving service is key; while the hardware is good, the software (service) needs to be even better.

Stayed for 6 nights from 19 October 2025.
The Good:
- spacious room
- good hot shower (very important to me)
- walking distance to District 2 and Glory Mall. Lots of food choices.
The Bad
- The bathroom has a clear glass panel which looks into the bedroom. I had enquired at the Front Desk and via ”At Your Service” phone button at least 3 times whether they could do something for privacy as I was sharing room with my son. The staff told me that they could sent someone to install curtains. Subsequently, a man turned up and passed me a folded bedsheet. He said it was for me to cover the glass panel. I asked how I was to do it without any tools - ladder, hooks etc !!! He replied past guests had given same feedback but Management did nothing. He said that his colleague had tried taping up the bedsheet but it soon dropped due to weight! I called the ”At Your Service” again, this time a guy said he would get back if there's a room with full privacy. Instead, the same man returned with the bedsheet again! Please understand that for twin sharing, having privacy is very important.
- not enough hooks in the bathroom to hang up towel to dry and clothes for changing. Had to drape over the bathtub.
- I had booked a room with 2 single bed but was checked into a room with King bed. I called the Front Desk and a lady told me that I booked for a King bed. I said that I had printout to prove that I booked 2 single. Eventually, she returned call and informed that they would change our room in the morning, which was duly done.
Fantastic, excellent service and food.
**Positive Review (Focus on Experience & Features)**
This trip to Shangri-La was truly perfect, genuinely embodying the essence of a 'hidden paradise'. The hotel masterfully blends ******* charm with modern luxury. The lotus pond and 'Nine Heavens' display immediately visible upon entry create a highly ceremonial atmosphere. The staff were consistently warm and attentive, proactively recommending local tours. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, balancing international flavors with ******* specialties. The heated pool and sauna in the wellness center erased all travel fatigue. Special activities like praying at Baiji Temple and ******* cuisine tasting added unforgettable memories. It's truly a quality choice that has won numerous luxury hotel awards.
**Business Travel Review (Focus on Practicality & Efficiency)**
As a top choice for business travel, Shangri-La Hotel's professionalism far exceeded expectations. The hotel is located in the core downtown area, offering convenient transportation yet a quiet environment. The conference rooms are fully equipped, and the network is stable, allowing for efficient video conferences and business discussions. The guest rooms are spacious and clean, with a well-arranged work area, full-signal free WiFi, complemented by business amenities like a safe and laundry service, making work worry-free. For dining, in addition to a balanced buffet breakfast, one can experience the authentic flavors of Auntie's Home Kitchen, and room service is fast and punctual. The most pleasant surprise was the quick check-in and check-out process, saving a significant amount of commute time. The staff's professionalism is extremely high, able to respond to all kinds of business needs promptly. It's a benchmark for business travel that balances efficiency and comfort.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The TV had a lot of very interesting shows including English language movies and movies with subtitles. The bar in the lobby is also very nice, the bartender makes very good MaiTais. Definitely recommend!

Quzhou is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province. We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton for a self-driving trip during the National Day holiday. Parking was convenient and free, the service was warm, and the accommodations were comfortable. We were extremely satisfied. The hotel is very close to historical and cultural attractions like Quzhou Ancient City Wall, Shuijingmen Scenic Area, Kong Family Temple of the Southern Branch, and Quzhou Museum. We went exploring in the evening, and the ancient city was bustling with activity – it was fantastic!

First, regarding the dining experience: Due to the holiday, breakfast preparations were inadequate, especially at the noodle station where the staff seemed overwhelmed and not very friendly, and restocking was slow. In the lounge, restocking was also very slow, and the basic food offerings were virtually identical for two days. Popular dishes disappeared quickly after one round, and there was no champagne or sparkling water. Coffee was self-service, with no staff bringing it to the tables. We also tried Shang Palace (at an extra cost), but the waitstaff seemed inexperienced, lacking adaptability, and service was slow.
Second, concerning the guest rooms: Overall, they were acceptable, but when I called at 6 PM on arrival, I was told there were no latex pillows left, indicating poor preparation. I also requested a charging cable, which was never delivered, so we ended up ordering one from outside.
Third, regarding the gym and swimming pool: Some staff were excellent, while others were uncooperative, showing inconsistent service quality among the team. I visited the gym several times but never saw anyone cleaning the equipment. Has cost-cutting gone too far? The entire wellness center didn't even offer bottled water, small cookies, or alcohol wipes. On Mid-Autumn Festival day, I saw apples at the front desk, but they were gone the next day. While we may not always need these items, they are essential for quickly replenishing energy if experiencing low blood sugar during exercise or swimming, which is a basic expectation for a five-star hotel. Other Shangri-La hotels I've visited, like in Hangzhou and Shanghai, provided these.
Finally, perhaps also due to the holiday, there was no concierge service to assist with luggage to the room when we arrived on the 5th, nor any guidance from the front desk. We only discovered this service existed when we checked out on the 7th. Understaffing is not the guest's problem; guests are willing to pay higher-than-usual prices for a holiday stay, and the hotel should not use staff shortages as an excuse.

Even as locals from Hangzhou, we decided to stay by West Lake, and it was fantastic! We didn't have to rush through tourist spots; the hotel itself was our destination.
In the morning, we visited Leifeng Pagoda.
We checked into the hotel at 1 PM, and grabbed some snacks to tide us over. After getting to our room around 2 PM, the kids immediately had a bath and played in the water. Afterward, we headed to the kids' entertainment center (perfect for our 2 and 5-year-olds).
At 4 PM sharp, we joined the guided tour, spending 50 minutes exploring the hotel's architecture.
By 5:30 PM, we were at the buffet dinner. With kids, a buffet is always the most economical choice, and they loved the noodles!
After dinner, we took a leisurely stroll before the kids were tucked in by 9 PM.
Day two started bright and early at 6:30 AM. We took a lovely walk along the river, passing through tea plantations, and were ready for breakfast by 7 AM.
After eating around 8:30 AM, we enjoyed a post-meal walk, snapped some photos, and let the kids run wild on the lawn.
At 9:15 AM, we went for our pre-booked travel photoshoot makeup session (we arrived early to pick out outfits).
The photoshoot began at 10:30 AM and lasted about half an hour.
Around 11 AM, we selected our photos and quickly packed up to check out. While I was finishing up with checkout and packing, the kids squeezed in another play session at the entertainment center.
We truly spent a full 24 hours at the hotel!
Both the waitstaff at the restaurant and the front desk attendants were so sweet and lovely – I really enjoyed interacting with them.

__WeChat54958****Before arriving, I read quite a few reviews and honestly had some concerns. I had initially planned to book two rooms, but due to a mix-up and booking late, I only managed to secure one. With a 'what-the-heck' attitude, I called, and Ms. Shao Linfang from the reservations department answered. She said she'd help me confirm. Although I couldn't get the second room, she was incredibly responsive, upgraded my existing room, and even arranged for a fruit platter. She also proactively asked if I needed children's amenities, which were prepared and ready in the room, along with a mini-bar. It truly lives up to its reputation as a seasoned five-star hotel; the overall service standard is consistently excellent. Crucially, the hotel's location is superb. Wulin Night Market is right downstairs, and West Lake is just a 10-minute walk away. This was incredibly convenient, especially when West Lake's traffic restrictions made it impossible to get a taxi. The buffet breakfast also offered a good variety. I was very satisfied with the accommodation on this trip. A special thanks to Ms. Shao!
GGuest UserThe hotel was very nice, the staff exceeded my expectations, Igor the manager he did everything from withdrawing money, extending my stay till literally reading my mind, before I even asked he already knew what I wanted. Exceptional service will definitely come again 👏
__WeChat41221****My expectations were fully met, and the hotel lived up to the hype. The only minor drawback is that check-in isn't until 3:30 PM (though earlier check-in is possible if rooms are available), but this hotel is just incredibly popular.
The hotel boasts numerous rooms with an exceptionally high occupancy rate and a variety of room types. Stepping inside, there's a magical sense of calm. For the same price, you might only get a standard room in Shanghai, but here we enjoyed a lake view suite.
The service was also top-notch; my family felt right at home, praising the hospitality. It was money well spent.
Even during the holiday, the swimming pool and hot spring weren't overcrowded, which speaks to excellent management, as reservations are required. Since it's winter, swimming was a bit chilly. However, there's also a sizable, slightly warmer children's pool area, which is absolutely fantastic.
GGuest UserAbsolutely amazing! The service was outstanding. Every front desk staff member was so kind and enthusiastic, and their service was really professional. On our second day, they even helped us switch to a king-size room free of charge. The shuttle boat driver was also very handsome and friendly. All the hotel staff were incredibly helpful and never showed any cold faces. One evening, we accidentally went to another island nearby, and after contacting the hotel, the front desk staff quickly arranged for the shuttle driver to come and pick us up specifically.
The room view was exceptionally beautiful! When the weather was good, the lake view was absolutely stunning. The public areas were also large and beautiful, perfect for taking photos. You could watch the sunset from there, and the breakfast area was also great. When we were there, there was even a foreign band performing live in the lobby, and the quality was very high. The room view was fantastic; after a day of fun, relaxing in the room, enjoying the beautiful view outside the window, and then taking a bath to wash away all the tiredness – it doesn't get more pleasant than that! For those who are disciplined, there's a free gym with great views too.
All the photos below were taken inside the hotel. This positive review wasn't requested by the hotel; it's purely my personal satisfaction with this stay, and I hope it helps other travelers planning to visit Qiandao Lake.
MM702023****A big thank you to the butler and hotel staff! From the delightful room upgrade upon check-in to the thoughtful and attentive butler service throughout our stay, every detail made us feel incredibly welcome. The butler was both professional and friendly, always there when we needed something, yet also providing us with ample personal space—the service balance was just perfect. The hotel's location is also ideal for families; our child's highlight every day was visiting the squirrel park downstairs. Breakfast was delicious and the commute was convenient. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends and look forward to our next visit!
WWulongaihechaMy family and I visited Xixi Wetland during the National Day holiday and stayed in Room 19 of the 'Hushu Guest House.' The 60-square-meter room was spacious and airy, perfect for three people. The decor was a charming Chinese retro style, and the garden landscape was beautiful and serene. Overall, the stay was fantastic! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
🏠 **Indoor Environment:** The room featured an entryway for shoes, a bathroom, a sitting area, a bedroom, and a private outdoor terrace. I loved being able to see the lake directly from the bed – very relaxing. A nighttime soak in the tub was wonderful, with a lovely view outside the window.
💁 **Service:** The butler and all staff members were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. There was a dedicated shuttle service from the North Gate of the wetland. After check-in, the butler thoughtfully explained the hotel's garden design and surroundings, then guided us to our room and detailed its layout. We received complimentary welcome fruit and evening service, and the entire room smelled fragrant and fresh. We also participated in a craft class with an instructor, which was a great experience.
🍃 **Outdoor Environment:** The winding paths were secluded and picturesque. All guest room areas could be accessed via a single loop, so there was no getting lost, and along the way, we experienced various scenic views. The air was fresh, there was abundant greenery, and it was very quiet – even the elderly enjoyed it.
📪 **Minor Drawbacks:** Unfortunately, the complimentary photoshoot service we were offered fell through as the collaborating photographer bailed, so we didn't get to experience that. Also, we forgot to claim the complimentary drinks at the bar.
TTangtangDonnaThis weekend, I booked a package through Ctrip, and the hotel upgraded us to a suite with two large beds. The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel is located in a wetland conservation area, which is very quiet and well-preserved ecologically. Standing on the balcony, I saw little squirrels scurrying across the roof and various birds chirping. The breakfast was very extensive, and the Chinese cuisine showcased the chef's excellent skills. The hotel's service was fantastic; they were very responsive to all our requests. The hotel also offers rowboats for guests to explore Xixi Wetland, as well as travel photography services. All in all, our two-night, three-day stay was very fulfilling. I highly recommend experiencing it. I forgot my charger when I left, and the hotel promptly contacted us to mail it back. Thank you! 🙏

GGuest User**✨ Super five-star experience! Highly recommended perfect stay! ✨**
Recently stayed at ke gamer and the experience was far beyond expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt the meticulous service: the front desk was enthusiastic and efficient, and took the initiative to help upgrade the room type; the room was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the details reflected quality everywhere (such as the rich drinks in the mini bar and the high-end bathroom supplies).
The staff brothers and sisters are so handsome and beautiful
**🏨 Highlight recommendation:**
1️⃣ **Excellent location**: You can also see the stars at night
2️⃣ **Intimate service**: Turndown service, 24-hour room service respond quickly, and the staff always serve with a smile;
3️⃣ **Complete facilities**: Swimming pools and hot springs are all available, breakfast is rich in variety and fresh ingredients;
4️⃣ **Full score for details**: The room has good sound insulation,
Special thanks for the thoughtful arrangement this time, which made this trip full of surprises! Whether it is a business trip or a leisure vacation, this is the best choice, and I will definitely come again next time! 🌟
KkakuseiYou can tell the facilities are a bit old, and because the hotel has some years on it, the soundproofing is pretty mediocre. You can hear everything happening in the hallway, and the opening and closing of doors in the next room is especially noticeable.
The breakfast selection and taste are quite ordinary for a five-star hotel; nothing particularly memorable.
The location is great for exploring the small commodities market, within walking distance. There are also plenty of dining options within a couple of blocks. It's more suitable for business travel than for a leisure trip to this city.
Oh, and booking through Ctrip doesn't allow you to earn points in the Marriott Bonvoy program, which is a huge drawback compared to other platforms that automatically link to your Marriott membership for points.
