Amazing hotel near the train station. The staff is super friendly. Also there is free soft drinks available from 14 until 22:30 and for 1500 yen you can get unlimited alcoholic drinks.
The rooms is really spacious and clean.
Infinity pool on the rooftop is beautiful!
All the hotel staff were fantastic! I didn't book the half-board option on Trip.com, but I successfully added it via email, and the staff were very thoughtful, asking about any food allergies. The room was generally very clean, and toiletries were provided. The only slight drawback was the moss in the onsen. The inn also has a car park.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. There's a convenience store just a few minutes' drive away, which is super convenient! Already looking forward to my next stay!
This hotel is a bit far from JR Oita Station, and it can be tiring to walk back and forth if you're using it as a transfer point between Beppu and Yufuin.
It's an older hotel that's been renovated, but the furniture is still old, and the bedding comfort is just average; the duvet was too thick. The room size is quite large for Japan. We specifically booked a room with a sofa bed for our child, but it was small and hard, and our child refused to sleep on it after an hour.
There's a large 24-hour supermarket near the hotel with good prices, which is convenient for buying daily necessities. Across the street is a school, and the Nikko Hotel is not far next door. Oita Art Museum and the pedestrian street are within walking distance.
This is our 2nd time to stay in this hotel. The 1st time was 10 years ago, the hotel guest rooms have renovated which is quite Modern. Love the new design. The Seaview is still spectacular. Bed and pillow are very comfortable. Onsan is located at basement , an highlight is there is Basket Robins ice cream machine is available 🙂
There is a night drink bar in the hotel at the lobby level, wines , coffee, soft drinks are served.
Breakfast area is spacious , western & Japanese food are served, donuts, pancakes , noodles, vege drinks , all you can choose.

This is definitely one of the most value-for-money hotels we've ever stayed at in Japan! 🔥
Highlights:
* The front desk staff were incredibly warm, polite, and provided excellent service 👍
* Complimentary drinks and snacks are available until 10 PM, a truly thoughtful gesture 🍶
* The room was very spacious, making for a super comfortable stay.
* It features a sauna, as well as indoor and outdoor hot springs, perfect for complete relaxation ♨️
* There's a shuttle stop right at the entrance, making pick-up and drop-off very convenient 🚗
A minor downside:
* It rained during our visit. If the weather had been good, we could have sunbathed on the lawn, which would have made the experience even more perfect ☀️
When I booked, it only showed the room, not that it was in an annex building. We ended up being placed in the building next door, which had much simpler facilities and was significantly smaller. I'm not sure what the reasoning was. To take a bath, I had to carry a basket out and go to the main building. The slippers provided were also very slippery. It was very inconvenient, especially in the cold weather. It would be much more reasonable if the booking page clearly stated this upfront.
This hotel is definitely one of the best I have ever stayed in. Thanks to all the staff for their kind service, we are happy to forget! The room facilities are very good, the space is large and clean, the hot spring is very positive, and the whole is very special! The point is that dinner and breakfast are super good, Michelin level, very full of food 👏🏻 I will definitely visit again if I have the opportunity!
We got the room called ”Forest Bath.” It was very clean, and the onsen was comfortably warm. The only downside was the view – a bamboo forest – which wasn't as impressive as expected. The kitchen was well-equipped with appliances: oven, microwave, dishes, pots, pans, and even a Dyson hairdryer. However, I found some of the facilities a bit strange. For example, there was only one shower room, and it was shared with the indoor onsen. So, if you weren't shy, you could shower while someone else was in the onsen. There was also only a glass partition between the shower room and the sink, so someone could clearly see someone showering while they were washing their face. Furthermore, there were two toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs, but neither had a sink inside. The upstairs toilet required going downstairs to wash hands, while the downstairs toilet required using the sink in the shower room. Those were the only issues. Otherwise, it was very convenient. You'll need to drive to supermarkets, and the road leading to the area isn't suitable for walking.
The service was great, and I got upgraded to a Zeus building room with an upgraded meal plan. It was a bit pricey, but the buffet had a wide variety and excellent quality, especially the all-you-can-drink beverages, which was fantastic. It's a shame the Zeus building can't be booked directly on Trip.com; I had to upgrade upon arrival. The transportation is very convenient, with a direct shuttle bus from the JR station to the hotel at regular intervals.
It was truly the best accommodation.
I went with my in-laws, my wife, and our baby.
My parents say they keep thinking of this place.
It’s truly the best accommodation in Godseongbi!!!

AAnonymous UserThis is an excellent hotel. It's nestled on a mountain overlooking the ocean, offering beautiful scenery. The hot springs are fantastic, and they even have private baths available for an extra charge. Dinner was superb; we had Japanese cuisine in an elegant setting. The Japanese chef was very professional, and the dishes were outstanding. Breakfast was semi-buffet style and also delicious. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, very clean, and offer sea views.

GGuest UserWhat an amazing place! We had a wonderful time “glamping” at the Grand Verde Resort. From first being greeted upon check in till our departure the attention to detail and hospitality were top notch! We especially loved the delicious breakfast and dinner spread, the Public Bath, and sauna, and the hobbit houses. The gorgeous views from our yurt in the mountains were breathtaking and we were able to see millions of stars at night on the clear evenings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars!!! Highly recommend this place for your next getaway!
