Romantic Hotels in Gansu, China

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed at this hotel. I just stumbled upon these beautiful photos from a previous stay in my album today and couldn't resist sharing them. Every time I walk in, I'm drawn to the authentic, down-to-earth vibe. The front desk staff are always so welcoming, eagerly greeting us and helping with our luggage. The rooms are spotless and incredibly comfortable. But the absolute best part is the snow outside the window. Waking up and drawing the curtains to a pristine white landscape, with snowflakes gently drifting down – it instantly puts me in a fantastic mood. I also have to rave about the hotel's pour-over coffee. The freshly ground beans are so aromatic, and the coffee itself is rich and smooth, not bitter at all. A warm cup in the morning, enjoyed while gazing at the snowy scenery, is pure bliss. The service is also exceptionally thoughtful; any request is met quickly and efficiently. Next time I'm in Jiayuguan, I will definitely choose this hotel again. I genuinely recommend it to everyone!

I absolutely adored Dunhuang Villa! I loved it so much I had to say it three times! Before my trip, I was a bit worried because some reviews mentioned the facilities were old, but once I stayed there, I found they weren't old at all. It was much better than Beijing Hotel or Mangshi Hotel. Some people said it was small, but compared to hotels in Tokyo, it's really not small at all. Our Castle Twin Room wasn't cramped in the slightest. First off, I loved the room's decor; it had a wonderful Western Regions flair. It fulfilled my princess dreams even more than Disneyland, especially since our generation grew up watching Princess Fragrance in 'My Fair Princess.' The breakfast experience was fantastic; sitting on the castle overlooking Mingsha Mountain was incredibly picturesque, and the spread was very generous. We had lunch in the hotel's courtyard, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The entire villa is quite expansive, almost a landmark itself. You just tell the taxi driver 'Dunhuang Villa,' and they don't even need GPS. The little camel doll the hotel gave us was also adorable. I've recommended it to so many friends since I got back, and if I ever go to Dunhuang again, I'll definitely choose this place!

Traveling to Zhangye with two kids, I was impressed by the service from the moment we arrived at the hotel entrance. I completely forgot about our luggage in the taxi, but the security guard at the door kindly helped me carry it all the way to our room. The room itself was clean and tidy. Honestly, I couldn't find a single fault with the service here; everyone was so welcoming and enthusiastic. After all, isn't good service and a pleasant environment what you look for in a hotel? In the evening, they even brought us snacks and treats. Because I had children, they also gave us some small toys, which was incredibly thoughtful. They even prepared foot-soaking tubs and cucumber masks for us in the evening – my kids and I were practically fighting over who got to use them! Highly recommended!

The room was really nice, and not on a high floor. They upgraded me to a 'Starlight' room, which was fantastic, I really appreciate it! 👍 The cleanliness and overall setup of the room were great. There are plenty of restaurants and Lanzhou specialty snacks nearby. The room's design has a 'light luxury' feel to it, and the view is excellent – you can see the entire old street, and it's absolutely stunning at night. They offer free parking, a free self-service printing area, and a complimentary laundry room and gym. Very satisfied!

This stay experience really exceeded expectations! The room was clean and tidy, the layout was warm and comfortable, the bedding was soft and sleepy, the overall space was spacious and bright, and the lighting and ventilation were very good. The facilities are complete and well maintained, it is very convenient to use, the bathroom is clean and odorless, and the hot water is sufficient and the water is stable. The service is warm and thoughtful, the attitude is kind and patient, and the demand response is timely, which makes people feel very intimate. Convenient location, quiet and not noisy surrounding environment, convenient travel and life, super cost-effective. The overall living experience is very satisfactory, whether it is health, service or environment is impeccable, highly recommended! I will choose here next time, it must be all five-star praise!

Very good accommodation experience. The service staff are all young girls and boys. They enthusiastically help with luggage. The room is also clean. The scenery is very good. There is also a bonfire party in the evening. Satisfied 👍

Zhagana Yunjing Wild House Tent is the most expensive hotel in this trip to Gannan. After checking in, I felt that everything was worth it. Not to mention that you can enjoy the fascinating scenery of Zhagana in the room, various meticulous and thoughtful services let us forget the fatigue of the journey and indulge in the beautiful hotel. The children had altitude sickness, and the hotel sent oxygen cylinders and breakfast to the room (our room was very high, and several waiters helped to move the luggage up at night, which was very embarrassing). Thank you very much. Not to mention the hotel environment, the snow-capped mountains behind are the Rock Road, and you can walk to the sign to check in. Due to the weather, I didn’t see Zhagana under the blue sky and white clouds. This regret will be made up next time. Next time, I will definitely choose Yunjing Wild House. Such a beautiful and warm hotel, everything is worth it. If you go to Gannan, you must check in Zhagana... Then in Zhagana, choosing Yunjing Wild House Tent Hotel will make your trip to Gannan more perfect!

The hotel is located by the Yellow River, offering a pretty good view from the window! However, I have to complain about two things: first, the shower water was too cold, and second, the sensor light in the shower kept turning off by itself! Our family of four traveled during the Chinese New Year. My elderly mother was tired after visiting the provincial museum, so she returned to the hotel at 4 PM and said she wouldn't go out for dinner, opting to shower and rest. She was the only one who managed to get a hot shower at that time! When the other three of us returned to the hotel at 9 PM after dinner, I found the water to be lukewarm when I showered. It was a bit cold on my body, but I was already wet, so I had to just power through it. As soon as I got out, I told my husband and child that the water was very cold, and it might be due to many people using water during peak hours, suggesting they shower later. We waited and waited, but even at midnight, the water was still cold. I even called the front desk in between to report the cold water, and they replied that it was because many people were using water and advised showering later! But by 12:30 AM, my child was sleepy and couldn't wait any longer, so they took a quick cold shower. My husband just gave up on showering altogether! I really don't understand how a hotel this big can't even guarantee basic hot water for showers! And then there's the sensor light in the shower room. It would stay on for a few minutes and then turn off by itself. No matter how much you move around inside the shower, it wouldn't turn back on. You had to open the door and step outside the shower room for it to sense movement and light up again! So... I ended up taking a cold shower in the dark! What kind of crazy design is that? Who would open the door and step out in the middle of a shower just to get the light back on??!! This is the first time I've written such a long review, but overall, it was a pretty frustrating stay!

The newly opened hotel has a good environment and facilities. I needed to catch a train early in the morning, and the hotel is near the West Railway Station; you can see the station from the window, but you have to take a taxi, which should only cost 10 yuan and take about 5 minutes. I originally booked another hotel in the same building, Wanrun Smart Choice, but when I arrived, they said there were no rooms available and they might not be able to vacate by noon. I checked the platform and saw the price had doubled, clearly meaning I had to cancel my booking myself. The hotel I'm staying at now is in the same building, and the price is about the same as when I booked. They asked if there were rooms available and even gave me early check-in. The difference in service is immediately apparent. I switched immediately.

The room is very satisfied. It is good to stay next time. I like the layout of the room. I eat a lot downstairs. It is convenient.
