"Warm cabin, kitchen with seasonings. There is a shared laundry dryer, but no stove. The hotel has a bath, but the water temperature does not seem to be too warm, so I didn't try it. The hotel does not have a check-in service, they will send an email to inform the password in advance, but they said that trip.com cannot be forwarded, so we only know when we arrive at the door. Fortunately, the phone can be dialed for a long distance before calling the hotel to inquire."

"We had a wonderful stay at Black Beach Suites—my family absolutely loved it. The rooms are beautifully designed, with a darker interior that likely helps reduce light pollution for aurora viewing. We were fortunate enough to see the northern lights twice—once right after checking in near the reception area, and again in the middle of the night. In addition, the views of the Reynisfjara black sand beach just behind the hotel are absolutely stunning and add so much to the overall experience. We were only able to book one night as the rest of the dates were fully taken, which honestly says a lot about how popular this place is. The staff were friendly and helpful, even while busy managing the bar. I asked one of the staff members about weather and driving conditions for the rest of our trip around Iceland, and she went out of her way to provide useful information. The only downside was the sofa bed, which had a noticeable large dip in the middle and was quite uncomfortable compared to the main beds. It may benefit from an upgrade or an alternative setup."
