Romantic Hotels in Sabah, Malaysia

Our small family decided to have a staycation in few hotel/resort and by far Sutera has won our heart. This place is amazing and i suggest anybody who wants to experience this place to stay more than 1Night. The room is still in its Vintage style , tv only has those old channel , there's one bathtub in the room which we loved specially my son,for the breakfast i do believe they can add more choices as they are more korean dishes focused, it'll be nice to have local kuih (hinompuka/pais pisang) other than kuih pisang only.. But other than that, you actually get free 1hour of bike rental on ur stay which we only know when we ask around, it was located right in front of the kids pool , other than that they do have a small train going around from Magellan to Pacific sutera and its FOC!!! I loved the staff energy the entire time, he asked our son to be in his seat as a driver and even let my son press few button and act like he's driving the train!! god bless your fun soul sir!! keep up the good work!! we will definitely be back again soon🥰❣️

Everything is good, but the location is a bit far from KKIA airport. The room is clean and the staff are very kind and helpful. The location is near 1B, just a 2-minute walk.

This hotel offers an absolutely stunning experience, especially the panoramic sea views. Watching the ocean change colours from daytime blues to a dramatic sunset and peaceful evening was unforgettable. The scenery alone makes this place special. The room was modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows that brought the outdoors in. Sitting by the window with a cup of coffee while watching planes pass over the sea and islands in the distance was surprisingly calming and unique. The atmosphere throughout the stay was quiet and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. Everything felt well-maintained and comfortable, from the room setup to the overall hotel environment. If you’re looking for a hotel with beautiful views, a peaceful vibe, and a touch of luxury, this is an excellent choice. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable seaside stay.

Had a wonderful Christmas Eve stay here. I stayed in a golf field view room, which was incredibly peaceful and calming. Even with the golf field view, I could still see parts of the ocean, and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. I spent some time at the pool and was able to enjoy a stunning sunset from there as well, overlooking the pier by the beach — it was truly an amazing view. I ordered room service during my stay and was very impressed with how prompt and friendly the service was. The room was cozy, clean, and very comfortable, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the bathtub after a long day. Overall, everything felt calm and well taken care of, making it a perfect stay. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Honest review as recent guest of Promenade service apartment, it's highly recommended! The place was clean and tidy, easy to locate, conveniently close to the city, restaurant and variety of convenient shop. Not to mention their excellent customer service by the receptionist. There was a guy in dark coloured coat (i believe he was the superior) and a receptionist upon checking in, and upon checking out, the female customer service (who i believe are also a superior) attended us. They were very helpful, warm and friendly while delivering service. We are very thankful and satisfied with the service given by the property. Overall, it was a wonderful experience staying there. Hotel location is superb. Walking distance to Waterfront. Room is clean & comfortable although a bit small. The bed is superbly comfortable The sunset Seaview is breathtaking. The only downside is the water pressure is too low. Can’t enjoy taking a shower after a long hot day.

Just had one night stay at Sutera Mantanani and honestly… so worth it. The island view is insanely beautiful with clear blue water, soft white sand, and super peaceful vibes. Perfect place to run from city stress 😌 Room was clean, comfy, and cozy with a nice sea view to wake up to. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was good, and the whole resort feels relaxing. Even with just one night, it felt super refreshing and memorable. 100% would come again for a longer stay next time.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay..Love the room so much..it's newly renovated..so modern, stylish decor..😍..We enjoy the breakfast and the restaurant also newly renovated, so comfy and nice breakfast..easy parking access too..☺️

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The service was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly polite. A huge plus was that many staff members spoke Mandarin, which made communication effortless. On that particular evening, the hotel staff went above and beyond by inviting us to join their dinner. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and there was an abundance of delicious food; my friend and I were almost overwhelmed by their incredible hospitality! We were also joined by other Chinese guests, and we had a truly fantastic time singing, drinking, and chatting together. We would have definitely extended our stay if we hadn't already booked a water bungalow for the following day. This was, without a doubt, the most enjoyable stay of my entire Malaysia trip. A heartfelt thank you!!

This is a very old hotel currently undergoing renovations, which wasn't indicated on Trip.com. This was quite disappointing, especially considering how expensive it was. The hotel likely has 500-600 rooms, and the soundproofing is very poor; you can hear people walking upstairs or in the hallway on the same floor. It's suitable for families, and a 2-night stay is probably enough. The hotel service is five-star. Breakfast, however, was unappetizing and lacked character, and the dining area was very crowded. The adult pool isn't large, but the kids' pool has many fun features for children. The hotel's island hopping and water activities are extremely well-designed and prioritize safety, meeting five-star standards.
