The hotel is in a good downtown location, close to Gaya Street, nearby jetties, and malls. The sunset views from the rooftop are also beautiful. For breakfast, I recommend trying items from the à la carte menu (which are free) – they're quite good. The buffet items, however, were pretty standard. The hotel is generally new but the pool is a bit small. For rooms, try to get a higher floor as lower floors have obstructed views. Overall, if you're looking for value for money, it's pretty average, but if that's not a concern, I'd recommend it. 🥸

Room was spacious and very clean. Very comfortable with 2 pillows each bed. Toilet also very clean and has enough towels for 3 of us. Hotel staff also was very friendly and helpful especially during check in. Breakfast buffet not many choices of food but still enough to make stomach full. Location wise very good. Near to Pasar Philippines and next to Central Point mall. Easy to get anything around there. Had a very pleasant stay and will consider coming back.

air conditioner need to fix or services room very hot. when i ask for hairdryer the receptionist told me to wait for 2hours then lastly i got nothing from my waiting, no hairdryer no aircond fix. please give a good service next time.

Aside from the nice views, everything else was pretty mediocre. We stayed in room 7418, which was quite spacious and kid-friendly. It had both a bathtub and a shower. The TV had static, and the breakfast was the same every single day – at least for the 6 nights we stayed, it was the same few options. Surprisingly, there were no noodles at the club lounge restaurant. For any egg dishes, you had to specifically ask a waiter for the menu, otherwise, you wouldn't know they even had them. For 6 nights at the executive lounge, the alcohol wasn't self-serve; they only gave you a tiny bit each time. The service, from check-in to check-out, was pretty much non-existent. Housekeeping seemed to depend on the staff's mood; the first night the room was cleaned exceptionally well – I almost regretted not filming a full walkthrough. But the following days, the cleaning was very superficial.

I booked through Trip.com and already paid the 10 MYR tourism tax, but the hotel still asked me to pay it again. They only dropped it after I showed them my booking confirmation. Everyone, please be careful not to get scammed! I've stayed in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Kota Kinabalu for two days each, and this was the first time I was asked to pay a tourism tax. The beds are a bit small at one meter, so it was a tight squeeze for a family of four. However, the hotel's location is convenient, and it shares a pool with The Magellan, which is only a ten-minute walk away. That's a great perk, considering The Magellan's rooms are about 300 MYR more expensive. The hotel's own beach and pool are pretty good and kept the kids entertained.

Great service. Decided to book the hotel at the very last minute. Booking confirm almost immediately. Did not bring charger but luckily i got my usb with me and the room have a plug that can be direct plug in usb. The view is splendid,(i choose sea view) unfortunately they did not provide free parking. I was charge about rm 22 for 1 overnight stay.the hotel itself is walking distance to anjung kinabalu.the breakfast limited choice for weekend stay, but the food is delicious.i would recommend this hotel 8.5/10

It is equipped with a gym and swimming pool, offering a pleasant environment for guests to exercise during their free time. The room is cozy and spacious enough for a solo traveler like me, and it comes with all the necessary amenities. Breakfast is average to start the day, though the hotel could consider adding more main dish options. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Near to a mall. Easy to check in and check out. Comfortable and good quality bed and pillows. Very helpful customer service. Strategic location, near to mall, eateries and shops. Compact space with large bathrooms. No designated parking space. Public parking depends on luck. Parking might cost you. Overall is a good experience, comfortable stay and hassle free.

Pros: The location is very strategic as the residence is situated in the heart of Kota Kinabalu. It offers a nice city view and overlooks the airport runway, where you can watch flights take off and land. The swimming pool is shared with Ming Garden Hotel, which is convenient. Cons: The room was extremely dusty, and my husband had to sweep it himself. Dust on the furniture was visible to the naked eye and there was even hair on the floor. The paint on the wall was peeling, leaving the floor dirty. The whole floor felt a bit creepy and gave the impression of an old, poorly maintained building. A security deposit of RM200 is required and the refund took two days after check-out. Communication with the manager is only through WhatsApp, which sometimes results in delayed responses. Parking is not complimentary, and guests need to pay for it (RM4/entry, RM8 for overnight).

Traveled with my bestie, and I booked this hotel specifically because I loved the look of the bathtub 🛁. First, the positives: The service was attentive, and there was even a Chinese butler, though most staff primarily spoke English. The environment was fantastic; the pool and beach loungers were clean and comfortable. In the afternoon, they'd restock snacks and drinks in our room, and we could choose what we wanted, which was a great touch. The sunsets were beautiful, but if you're serious about sunset photos, I'd recommend Tanjung Aru; it's more photogenic there. We originally booked the Garden Wing but got upgraded to the Ocean Wing. The Ocean Wing was quiet with fewer people, whereas the Garden Wing was much too crowded. For breakfast, I ate at the Ocean Wing on the first day. It was mainly à la carte with fewer options at the buffet. The second day, I tried the Garden Wing; it was packed with people, but they had more buffet variety. However, replenishment wasn't always timely, and the coffee machine was a bit slow to respond, taking ages to get going. The food and drinks at the Sampan Sunset Bar were a bit pricey, and the cocktails weren't particularly good. I'd recommend sticking to beer there, but the ambiance was amazing for photos. The bathtub wasn't perfectly clean, which I can understand since some small leaves tend to drift in. It's best to rinse it out yourself before using it. The 4 PM late check-out was incredibly thoughtful and convenient!!!!! They also provide shuttle service to the airport or city malls. Overall, the experience was great. The service and facilities are definitely worth the price.
