As a family-friendly hotel, I feel there's room for improvement regarding the child-friendly facilities. The kids' club has no staff, no limit on the number of children, and no one to maintain order. It's a bit disappointing that the water park was closed for the winter. The hotel environment is lovely with fresh air, and it's right by Xinghu Lake. There's also a large outdoor lawn, perfect for sunbathing in winter. The hotel's own Chinese restaurant offers great value for money, but the buffet restaurant, while having variety, lacked quality. The outdoor hot springs aren't extensive, but they're enough for some enjoyment. Overall, the hotel left a good impression. The room was also very comfortable. I hope to see some improvements on my next visit.

Absolutely fantastic! There were even fireworks on New Year's Eve, which was such a pleasant surprise~ It felt incredibly special and ceremonial. **Facilities:** The facilities are very comprehensive. The breakfast buffet is rich, with both Chinese and Western options, and the portions are small enough that you can try many different dishes. The complementary recreational activities are quite fun; you can even continue playing after checking out, including pickleball, mini-golf, basketball, and more – very enjoyable. **Hygiene:** Clean and tidy. **Environment:** The greenery is well-maintained, it's not noisy or crowded, and has an upscale vibe. **Service:** The service is excellent. Items delivered to the room arrive quickly, and they help with luggage.

Overall, great experience for this hotel! Though the hotel is slightly further from the nearest metro station, it is still very manageable. The staff was kind and friendly and upgraded our room to a more spacious one. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and was tasty. Room was clean with a great view from the 41st floor and WiFi has international access along with the TV, greatly appreciated!

After comparing several hotels for our visit to Chimelong, we chose Hengqin Bay, and our experience was truly reassuring. The hotel's location is convenient, with shuttle buses making it easy to get to and from all the different parks. The room design is very family-friendly, offering ample space and well-stocked amenities like bath tub liners. The mattress and pillows were just right in terms of comfort, ensuring a good night's sleep for the whole family. The soundproofing in the rooms was excellent, keeping things quiet even when the hotel was fully booked. Dining options were plentiful. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, and the freshly prepared local noodles were particularly authentic. For dinner, we ate at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, where the steamed seafood and seasonal vegetables were perfectly cooked and appealing to our children's tastes. The hotel's recreational facilities were well-planned. Our child had a great time playing in the safe areas of the water world, and the indoor heated pool was consistently clean and comfortable. In the evenings, taking a stroll past the flamingos in the seahorse area and the hotel's dolphin pool added a delightful touch to our vacation. Overall, from the convenient transportation and comfortable accommodation to the delicious dining and abundant leisure choices, the hotel demonstrated a consistently high standard in every aspect of our family trip, making for a smooth and enjoyable holiday experience.

CColin Chiang (zhengguohua) 2025.12.31
I chose the ZFE Hotel Premium at Taikoo Hui, Tianhe for my trip to Guangzhou, and I'm very satisfied with the overall experience! The most pleasant surprise was the decor; it beautifully blends antique Chinese charm with a vintage British flair. The warm yellow lighting, walnut furniture, leather sofas, and European-style ornaments create a truly picturesque scene. The lobby even has a subtle aroma of freshly ground coffee, making every photo look like a high-quality shot – a welcome escape from the cookie-cutter feel of chain hotels. The location is absolutely unbeatable, right next to Exit A of Gangding Metro Station on Line 3. It's just a short walk to Tianyu Plaza, and super convenient for shopping at Taikoo Hui and Grandview Plaza. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, making travel and finding food incredibly easy. The room facilities are comprehensive and spotlessly clean, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the small attached coffee shop and open-plan book bar are definite pluses. Overall, it offers great value for money; it's truly rare to have such an experience in a prime commercial district. My only minor regret is that the soundproofing in the room isn't great, as I could occasionally hear footsteps in the hallway. However, it didn't affect my sleep at night. All in all, the positives far outweigh this small flaw, making it a perfect choice for both leisure and business travel.

I specifically came to Foshan to buy furniture and chose the Sofitel Foshan, which has a great reputation. Before checking in, I saw the hotel's introduction, and it definitely lived up to expectations once I was there. The hotel's decor, from the first-floor entrance to the rooms, is very stylish. This time, I stayed in a Luxury Postmodern room, which also had a lot of character. The overall facilities in the room were excellent, and the hygiene was very good. This morning, I saw Jingjing, the floor manager. Even though the hotel was very busy, she went above and beyond to graciously grant us a late check-out, allowing me to take a nap after finishing my furniture shopping. The service was truly exceptional!

Our stay in the Executive Suite was excellent. The room was spacious, with a separate living room and bedroom. The facilities were complete and very new, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with quick hot water. The afternoon tea and evening snacks at the Executive Lounge were top-notch. It was amazing how you could see planes flying overhead just a few minutes walk from the hotel, yet hear absolutely nothing in the room – the soundproofing was superb. The room also offered expansive views, plenty of natural light throughout, and attention to detail was impeccable. Overall, it exceeded our expectations in terms of value for money. The small garden behind the hotel was a delightful surprise; it was lush, tranquil, and elegant. It was perfect for a stroll in the morning, after meals, or in the evening. P.S. On our first morning, we chose to have breakfast on the first floor. The staff member who greeted us showed us to our table and asked what we'd like to drink, but no one ever brought it to us. If the staff are too busy, it's probably better not to ask guests what they want to drink out of courtesy!

Our stay at Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe was absolutely outstanding. Everything was at the highest level from start to finish. The hotel kindly complimentary provided breakfast for our child, which was a very thoughtful gesture and greatly appreciated. The overall attitude and service from the staff were exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and professional. Special thanks to Tania at the reception — she was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. Domenic was simply fantastic: he welcomed us, assisted us with everything we needed, and made us feel truly taken care of. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. All staff members were polite and welcoming. The food was excellent — honestly the best among all the hotels we have stayed at in Guangzhou. The location is also very good, convenient for both business and city access. In our opinion, this is the number one hotel in Guangzhou. Highly recommended. A true 5-star experience.

This is the best value-for-money hotel in Futian. While not newly renovated, its style and design are classic and beautiful. The front desk kindly upgraded me to a junior suite. Both the living room and bedroom featured large floor-to-ceiling windows with fantastic views. I only had two minor issues: First, housekeeping forgot to provide bottled water. I only realized there wasn't any in the room late at night and had to call room service to get some. Also, upon check-in, I noticed that one of the drawers on either side of the living room was half open and the other was closed, indicating that room service attention to detail could be improved. Second, the room had some smart amenities, but their effectiveness was minimal. For example, the electric trash can and automatic kettle – the latter was actually broken, as the water I set to 100 degrees was still cold after half an hour. Ironically, the things that truly needed an upgrade weren't. On one side of the bed, only the time display had a charging port; one port didn't work, and the other made a loud noise when charging. I ended up having to use the old-fashioned outlet on the other side of the bed. If renovations are planned, I'd suggest focusing on these essential areas. Overall, the positives far outweigh these minor drawbacks. The lobby decor is magnificent, with a strong Christmas atmosphere, and the service was excellent. It's a hotel I really like.

Overall, it was a good experience. The room was clean, and the toiletries were of good quality. The high-floor view was excellent. The buffet breakfast was one of the better ones I've had among high-end hotels in Shenzhen, definitely a highlight. The location is superb, very close to MixC Luohu, and the hotel's own KKMall is also worth exploring. I even received a Christmas gift box after the holiday. The only minor downside was the long check-in wait; it was delayed from 3 PM to almost 5 PM. Luckily, the butler offered a St. Regis bear to my child, which helped calm their impatience. I have two small suggestions: upgrading the toilet to a smart, heated one would significantly improve the winter experience, and the heating/air conditioning wasn't great, making the room feel a bit chilly at night.

AAnonymous UserI visited with my two kids for a weekend. The lobby is on the 95th floor, and the service at the front desk and in the corridors was excellent, especially the concierge. My friend arrived earlier and was checking in upstairs. I pulled up to the hotel entrance with my younger child, and a polite young man from the concierge team immediately helped me with my luggage without me even having to get out of the car. My friend's family could then come down and head out for afternoon tea, which was incredibly convenient and efficient. I heard that the windows with a side view of Canton Tower are quite small, and since we were going to the 107th floor for drinks in the evening, I opted for a room with a large window facing IFC, where we enjoyed the sunset 🌅. Compared to my friend's family of three who stayed in a Rosewood Residence apartment suite, the apartment had a better view and, because the room was larger, offered a panoramic vista. However, apartment guests have breakfast on a different floor than hotel guests, though they can pay extra to eat the hotel breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was exquisite, but I do have to complain about the server that day. After we had already gotten our food, it took quite a while for her to bring us the menu to order dishes like eggs Benedict and waffles. And she served later-arriving guests before us. Since I was alone with two kids, I initially forgot about it, but by the time the menu came, the kids were already full and couldn't eat anything else from it. This was the only disappointing part of our stay. The breakfast server had a cold demeanor and wasn't very welcoming. I would have given full marks for service otherwise, but she definitely cost a point. Besides noodles and congee, there were also dumplings, which the kids loved. I personally thought their congee and noodles were particularly delicious – perhaps I drank a bit too much the night before 😄. The swimming pool was not crowded and had three separate areas. The service there was also very enthusiastic, and the children had a wonderful time. During check-in, the housekeeper on our floor was exceptionally thoughtful. She proactively brought extra towels, bathrobes, slippers, and toothbrushes, whereas at other hotels, you usually have to call to request these. She even asked if I needed anything else – a big thumbs up for her! Once the kids were asleep in the evening, my girlfriend and her husband and I enjoyed listening to music and having a few drinks and a chat on the 107th floor. This rare opportunity for drinks was precisely why we chose the Rosewood and why it's the perfect choice when traveling with kids 😄.

AAnonymous UserThis stay truly exceeded my expectations and can best be described as a genuine “home away from home.” It is rare to find a hotel that performs so well across comfort, service, location, and thoughtful details, and this experience left a very lasting impression. First of all, the room itself was exceptionally comfortable. From the moment I walked in, everything—from the bedding and lighting to the layout and overall ambience—made it easy to relax. The room was clearly very well maintained, with no signs of wear or aging. The décor felt modern yet warm, and the attention to upkeep was evident in every detail, from the furniture to the bathroom facilities. Returning to the room each day felt comforting and familiar, which is something not every hotel can achieve. At check-in, there was a short wait for the room due to availability, but the experience was handled extremely well. A Guest Relation Specialist proactively approached me, kindly checked in on my situation, and thoughtfully added me on WeChat so that assistance would always be easily accessible. From that point onward, communication became seamless. Whether I had questions, requests, or needed help at any time during my stay, support was always just a message away, with quick and attentive responses that made me feel truly cared for. I would especially like to thank Loyalty Manager Mr. Cao for arranging a room upgrade. The upgraded room offered more space and a better overall experience, which elevated my stay significantly. This gesture made me feel genuinely valued as a returning guest, rather than just another reservation. Although there was construction nearby during my stay, the hotel’s sound insulation was excellent. Noise never became an issue, and my rest was completely undisturbed. Both nights were quiet and restful, and I slept extremely well—something I truly appreciated. In the afternoon, the Guest Relations team kindly assisted in arranging the JW Christmas–themed afternoon tea. The presentation, quality, and festive atmosphere were outstanding. It was clear that great care had gone into the experience, and it added a wonderful sense of occasion to my stay. This was definitely a highlight and deserves high praise. The hotel’s location is another major advantage. Traveling to the airport in the morning was incredibly convenient, saving both time and stress. At the same time, the hotel is not far from Xiangmi Lake Park, making it equally suitable for leisure walks and relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, the location truly feels ideal. In the evening, based on a recommendation from the Guest Relations team, I visited the bar on the fourth floor—and I’m very glad I did. The atmosphere was beautiful, especially under the moonlight, creating a calm and romantic setting that made the night feel special. I highly recommend the Moscow Mule there—it was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I’ve had. Another thoughtful touch was the arrangement of a late check-out by the Guest Relations team. This allowed me to rest a bit longer and enjoy the morning without feeling rushed, which made a big difference before departure. Breakfast was also very impressive. The selection was extensive and well organized. Even though the restaurant was busy, everything ran smoothly and efficiently, with clear flow and attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. In addition, food deliveries were conveniently handled by service robots, which was both efficient and fun, adding a modern and thoughtful touch to the stay. Overall, this hotel excels not only in facilities, but also in service quality and attention to detail. From check-in to check-out, every interaction reflected professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality. Whether for business travel or a relaxing getaway, this is a hotel I would confidently recommend. It is absolutely a place I look forward to returning to in the future.

GGuest UserFrom the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel operates on a level of excellence that transcends borders and benchmarks. Having traveled extensively across Canada and other parts of the world, I can confidently say that this property—and more importantly, its staff (Maimai)—sets a new gold standard in hospitality. They accommodated our request to use the gym during extended hours at their inconvenience, allowed use of their lounges while moving their other reservations around. The Hotel: Impeccable Design Meets Thoughtful Functionality Every corner of the hotel speaks to a commitment to detail. The architecture is both grand and inviting, blending modern elegance with local charm. Rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and intuitively designed for comfort and convenience. From the plush bedding to the ambient lighting and high-end amenities, it’s clear that no expense was spared in creating a sanctuary for guests. The common areas—lobby, lounges, spa, and dining spaces—are equally impressive. They strike the perfect balance between luxury and warmth, making you feel both pampered and at home. The Staff: A Masterclass in Service What truly elevates this hotel is its team. Every staff member we encountered (Maimai again haha)—from front desk to housekeeping, concierge to restaurant servers—embodied professionalism, warmth, and a genuine desire to make our stay exceptional. Front Desk: Efficient, welcoming, and proactive. They remembered our names, anticipated our needs, and made check-in/check-out seamless. Concierge: A wealth of local knowledge and a magician when it comes to reservations and recommendations. They went above and beyond to personalize our itinerary. Housekeeping: Discreet, thorough, and consistent. Our room was refreshed daily with precision and care. Dining Staff: Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and always eager to accommodate dietary preferences. It’s rare to see such a uniformly high level of service across all departments. The team operates like a well-oiled machine, yet each interaction feels personal and heartfelt. Culinary Excellence (Dimsum) The dining experience was nothing short of spectacular. Whether it was breakfast in the sunlit atrium or dimsum (with a potential business partner) in the signature restaurant, every meal was a celebration of flavor and presentation. Ingredients were fresh, menus were creative, and the chefs clearly take pride in their craft. Commitment to Excellence What sets this hotel apart is its unwavering commitment to excellence. It’s not just about luxury—it’s about creating meaningful experiences. The staff doesn’t just meet expectations; they anticipate and exceed them. There’s a culture of care, pride, and hospitality that permeates every interaction. Compared to even the finest hotels in Canada, this property stands out for its consistency, warmth, and attention to detail. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place to remember. Final Thoughts If you're looking for a hotel that delivers more than just a room, but an experience that lingers long after checkout, this is it. Whether you're traveling for business, leisure, or celebration, this team will make you feel like the most important guest in the world. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough. This is hospitality at its finest. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

PPaobukuaidexiaolanI stayed at this hotel for a marathon. This time, I arrived a day early and booked hotels near both the pickup point and the starting line. I really love the decor style here; it's a perfect blend of modern and classic. The bathroom has a three-part separation, and the toilet is smart. Located in a bustling and lively area, the room quality for this price is truly excellent value for money! On the 19th, I stayed at a certain *Stin hotel near the Canton Fair, and it felt like it was all show and no substance – the exterior was fine, but the interior was underwhelming! There's no harm without comparison. The service attitude at the President Hotel is top-notch. When I checked out, the lady at the front desk gave me a souvenir. Later, I left something behind at the hotel, and the front desk staff communicated with me immediately, and I quickly received a shipping notification for the item. I'm very grateful! The staff member was very sweet, and the room was very comfortable. All the drinks in the mini-fridge were free, unlike at that *Stin hotel!!!

MM49085****Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in Zhuhai is truly great for families with young children. Not only does it have all sorts of animals that little ones love to see, but there are also more thrilling rides for when they're older. We'll definitely be back when our child is a bit older. The Penguin Hotel experience was fantastic; it's super convenient to enter the park directly from there. The ground floor has food, drinks, and entertainment, and even just the fountain pond outside the hotel lobby kept our little one captivated. Highly recommend, we'll be back again! The fireworks room is definitely worth it; you can see both the fireworks and the fountains, and the view is much better than being in the crowd on-site.

GGuest UserThe Aranya YIN Hotel is located in the heart of the European Town area at the foot of the Jiulong Lake project. It's an all-suite hotel with a limited number of rooms, approximately ten, reportedly designed by a Korean designer. First, the rooms are spacious, with varying sizes and layouts for the same price of 50, 60, or 70 (this difference can be seen on the Aranya app). Second, the rooms are clean, with no obvious unhygienic spots. Third, the room comes with an Audio-Technica record player and one or two vinyl records (although they're Taylor Swift, which I'm not a big fan of). Thankfully, there's also a Marshall speaker with Bluetooth connectivity. There's also a complimentary tea set and tea leaves, and a Nescafe capsule coffee machine with four capsules. Fourth, its location in the heart of town, coupled with two French balconies, ensures a great view (see Figure 4). However, this experience also revealed some shortcomings: First, the signs were unclear. Cars are prohibited on the town's core streets, but there were no clear signs around the perimeter of the town. I had no idea where to park or the hotel entrance, and there was no staff to guide me. I could only grope around, gazing at the hotel's spire. Finally, after asking three town staff members driving electric carts, I was able to park in front of the Princess Hotel. Then, I dragged my suitcases through the Princess Hotel lobby before I found the YIN Hotel. Second, the room design and layout were strange. First, there was no TV. This also relates to my subsequent complaints about the service, which I'll discuss later. Actually, I hadn't considered a TV important at other hotels because I had various evening tours. But at Jiulong Lake, there were no cultural activities in the evening (which is a key characteristic of the Aranya brand). After diving in the sea and having two beers, I returned to my room at around 8:00 AM and realized there was no TV. It was a bit boring. Secondly, the shower had no sink or water barrier, so a lot of water flowed into the dry area of the bathroom. And this is a Korean designer? (See Figure 8). Third, the service experience was quite poor. These included: ① When checking in, I was on the first floor. My wife was in a hurry to get to the room, so I took the room card and went up first (thank you to the front desk for making this easy). Unexpectedly, the cleaning staff member who had been in the same elevator with my wife entered the room before us and headed straight for the bathroom. For some reason, they looked around and muttered, ”No one,” before leaving without even turning back. They didn't even explain to my wife, leaving me completely bewildered and nervous. As I went upstairs, my wife was nervously yelling, ”Who's there?” ② The lack of a TV in the room and the hotel's handling of the situation were even more surprising. We've also been to the Anaya Anlan Hotel in Beidaihe. Because the rooms are large and have a vertical living room design, a wall-mounted TV would be too far from the bed, so they built a low TV wall in the middle of the living room to accommodate the TV. Since I couldn't find a TV in my room at the YIN Hotel, I specifically checked the Ctrip website, which also mentioned basic amenities like a TV. After finding nothing, I called the front desk, which led to the most ridiculous experience of the time: The front desk succinctly stated that most rooms at this hotel didn't have TVs, with only a few family rooms having them. OK, while that didn't align with the hotel's promotional message (which emphasized audiovisuals and included a dedicated theater), I could accept that. If it didn't have one, then it didn't. But I asked the front desk, ”This hotel has been around for a while, haven't any customers complained about it being a basic feature like a TV?” The answer was no. Well, I can only assume this request is sufficiently personalized and age-appropriate. Still not giving up, I mentioned the Ctrip website listing and asked if I could use the theater. And then something magical happened: at 8:42 PM, I checked the Ctrip hotel page and saw ”LCD TV” (see Figure 5). At 8:53 PM, I followed the Ctrip page to get the hotel's phone number (see Figure 6). At 9:20 PM, I checked the hotel's Ctrip page again, and the ”LCD TV” listing had vanished (see Figure 7). Did the hotel ignore the customer's odd comments? Or did they care enough to revise the website overnight? I suspect the hotel, firstly, saw my poor experience and secondly, felt guilty about the equipment page issue. They sent staff to appease me twice, providing a bottle of fruit wine and snacks in the evening (we skipped the wine because we'd already had it in the sea, and had a packet of snacks). In the morning, they brought a packed breakfast (which consisted of bread and fruit). It's not uncommon for a 2,000 yuan suite to not include breakfast; many hotels charge different prices with or without breakfast, but the key point is that I couldn't book a room with breakfast in the first place). They also gave me an extra set of hotel toiletries when I left. We felt the staff's genuine desire for a good experience, but the Korean designer's lack of practicality and the hotel operator's overnight revisions to the website are truly lamentable. In summary, the YIN is a good place to stay, but there's still much room for improvement in both its hardware and software.

TTravelfinderLocation Although the location of the hotel is about 20 minutes from the city center, the hotel provides a free shuttle bus service every half an hour to Guanzhou metro station. Guests can make use of it to connect themselves to other stations around the Guangzhou metro system. The downside of it is that the last shuttle bus service ends at 7pm from Mondays to Thursdays, Sundays and 8pm on Fridays to Saturdays. Hence, guests would have to make alternative arrangements should they wish to return to the hotel past these timings. Service Quality The staff there were really helpful and efficient. They provided us with directions and recommended us to a wide range of food and shopping options. However, during our first night of stay, we realised that housekeeping had forgotten to replenish our body wash, shampoo and conditioner bottles from the previous guest who checked out earlier and it took us multiple calls to the housekeeping team before we could get through to them. Cleanliness and Comfort The room was quite spacious, clean and comfortable. I can see that housekeeping did a thorough job in ensuring the cleanliness of both the room and the toilet. Amenities The hotel offers spa, fitness center and a swimming pool. They also have a really good dimsum restaurant on the 4th floor which guests can check out. However, although the hotel mentioned that it offers 'free high speed wifi', I experienced an incredibly slow wifi connection throughout my stay which required me to use my data roaming instead. Guests who are considering to stay here might want to take note on this so that they can prepare an external e-sim to connect online. Overall Experience Overall, I had a pleasant and amazing stay and I really enjoyed my time there. I would definitely recommend anyone who are considering to stay here to do so.

Although the room had a classic feel, it was impeccably maintained. The Frederic Malle amenities had a sophisticated scent, and the marble bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The 24-hour room service was incredibly prompt; extra water or pillows were delivered in an instant. The treatments at Yué Spa on the 8th floor were incredibly stress-relieving, with seven spacious treatment suites offering an immersive and relaxing experience. The hotel is a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, perfectly suited for business trips, family vacations, or romantic getaways. I've already recommended it to all my friends who appreciate quality!

Very Good
KKaifuqukuliI spontaneously decided to book a staycation at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou, even though the hotel has been open for over a decade. You really don't notice any signs of aging hardware or outdated design, which I suppose is the magic of both Mandarin Oriental and Tony Chi. The room size was very generous; I booked a basic room since it was a last-minute decision for just one night, and I didn't feel cramped at all – in fact, it felt more like an open-plan suite you'd find in other hotels. The service, as expected from Mandarin Oriental, was consistently high-standard. When I called the front desk twice for an ice bucket while enjoying a drink in my room at night, it was delivered promptly both times. Upon check-in, the front desk also offered Mandarin Oriental's signature roselle tea and a cold towel. Special thanks to Chloe, Eaton, and Catherine for their help during my check-in and check-out. My only minor regret is that I booked too hastily this time, and with high occupancy, I couldn't get an upgrade. Hopefully, I'll get my wish next time, haha.
