Soon KYOverall, the stay was good. The hotel has a great location and the rooms are spacious. The room decor is a bit dated, but the Wi-Fi was excellent.
The hotel has an ice rink, which is a good option if you want to learn to ice skate.
The breakfast was ordinary and nothing special.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Sunway Resort Hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Sunway Lagoon Water Park, which made getting to the rides and slides easy and fun for the kids. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views of either the lake or the park, and the beds are incredibly comfy. The hotel also offers a variety of dining options across its numerous restaurants, and the room service was quick and friendly. Housekeeping was excellent and done daily, and the public facilities were clean and family-friendly.
This hotel is an ideal choice for families looking for a mix of comfort and entertainment. The service was professional and friendly, and the staff were always ready to help. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Kuala Lumpur. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a pleasant and comfortable stay with their children.

Guest UserThe hotel is new and the lobby is beautiful. The room was okay, but the linens felt a bit old despite being clean. The front desk service was excellent, and the snacks and cookies were absolutely delicious! Overall, the environment is great with no unpleasant odors, and the view of the amusement park is perfect for photos. Both the room service and front desk staff were very helpful. It took me a while to find the bathroom curtain button – it was by the sink! Both the elderly and children will love it here! 🥳

Stayed 2 weekday nights at Monkey Canopy Resort and overall had an enjoyable stay. It's quite a remote drive on the outskirts of KL, but the kids were excited the moment we arrived. The resort is spacious, beautiful, and even has EV charging stations.
Check-in was self-service. While we were guided to the kiosk, the staff wasn't particularly welcoming and did not provide information such as breakfast timings or the WiFi password. With few guests around, a little more assistance would have been appreciated.
The buggy ride to the room was fun and the buggy drivers were friendly. Waiting time was reasonable, usually under 10 minutes. The room itself was spacious and clean. One thing to note is that there are about 10 steps leading to the room with no ramp, so carrying luggage can be a challenge.
Breakfast was decent but fairly standard, with nasi lemak, noodles, eggs, ham, and bread. The selection remained mostly the same over the two mornings.
The resort grounds are huge with plenty of activities available, although most come at an additional cost. Despite a few service shortcomings, we enjoyed our stay and had a great family getaway.

Guest UserAll the staff from the moment we arrived to the moment we left were excellent.
The hotel and the room although basic was fine for our overnight stay. Although we wished we could have stayed longer to make full use of the pool and other amenities.
The dinner the night we arrived was great together with the very attentive waiter and bar staff. We also had live entertainment from the lovely ”Bella” (and her performing partner) who sang beautifully. Bella took the time to come and speak with us afterwards.
The breakfast next morning was amazing. I made salad from all the fresh ingredients from their garden. There was a wide variety of options from Western food to local cuisine: pastries, croissants, jam, Cereals, tea, coffee, fresh fruits and juices, etc etc
Overall, such a wonderful, peaceful and calm place to stay despite being near the airport. Highly recommended.

Md AshariWe’ve stayed here few times and every time it’s not a disappointment. Love the hotel rooms, breakfast spread the amenities, shopping and the convenience of having everything under one roof. The journey from airport to hotel and vise verse wasn’t that long. Took about ~40mins with good traffic. The grab price still manageable. The breakfast was immaculate. The rooms is spacious and the stuffs are helpfull. All in all LOVING IT.

Pros:
The room comes with a balcony, great for enjoying the views and taking sunset photos.
There's a garden downstairs for walks, and the air is very fresh.
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and bottled water are provided, and the cleaning staff are very efficient.
The hallway is relatively quiet, and the service is excellent.
There's a golf course, perfect for those who enjoy playing to pass the time.
Cons:
The overall room decor is a bit dated.
There's no overhead light; lighting relies solely on floor lamps and bedside lamps.
It feels a bit like an older 4-5 star hotel in China.
The shower is in a bathtub, which can be slippery.
Upon check-in, they requested a 250 MYR deposit plus a 'tourism tax' of 7 MYR per night.
I've stayed in many hotels in Malaysia, and this is the first time I've been asked for a deposit and this particular tax.
Tips:
Bring your own slippers.
The central air conditioning is very strong, so you might want to bring a long-sleeved pajama top.
The front desk informed me that check-out takes 15 minutes (first time I've encountered such a long wait; I was a bit emotional during the interaction, but it ended up being processed in less than 5 minutes. Still, I recommend allocating sufficient time).
I wouldn't specifically book this hotel again unless it was for convenience to UKM.

I stayed at Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA for an overnight business trip between flights, and every single category—cleanliness, surroundings, service and facilities—deserves a full five stars. This hotel totally exceeded all my expectations for an airport transit stay.
The location is its biggest highlight. It sits right next to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, which saved me so much trouble rushing for my early flight the next morning. No long taxi rides or stressful early wake-ups; I could walk to the terminal easily without worrying about traffic delays. The building has a stunning, eye-catching curved exterior, and the whole hotel grounds are full of tropical greenery, creating a peaceful, resort-like vibe that makes you forget you’re just steps away from a busy airport.
My superior twin room was spotlessly clean. Housekeeping did an incredible job sanitizing every corner, from the bathroom floor to the desk and window sills. The beds are plush with soft linens, and the sound insulation works perfectly—aircraft noise from the runway barely seeps in, letting me enjoy a solid night’s sleep after a tiring international flight. All bathroom fixtures, electrical outlets and workspace facilities are well-maintained and fully functional, ideal for business travellers who need to sort out work emails in the room.
The hotel staff are incredibly warm and efficient. Front desk agents handled my check-in and check-out rapidly with fluent English, patiently answering all my questions about airport shuttle times and local transport. The public lounge and convention areas are spacious and well-equipped, great if you need a quiet spot for quick meetings.
If you have an early or connecting flight out of KLIA, this hotel is an absolute no-brainer. I will definitely book here again on my next business trip passing through Kuala Lumpur Airport.
