hope to have comb/ brush in this 5star hotel .
The bathtub have some cracked and should be touched up better appearance as it looks dirty.
Bathroom door seems like didn’t clean well as lots of hand print and watermarks there .
A Malay bellman (butler ) is helpful and friendly with his good smile .
This is a new hotel next to Shell Retail Academy where my meeting was. Thus, it is convenient for me. The receptionists are helpful. The room I first checked in was very smelly even though it is a non-smoking room. The receptionist helped me to change to another room which make my stay comfortable. The room is spacious. I suggest that the management to install a sliding door for the shower place so that when we take shower, we won't wet the bathroom floor. Overall I have a pleasant stay.
There is a swimming pool and gym room. I did not use the facilities.

Hotel facilities are good, location is superb as there is linked road connecting Central Mall, however the hotel car park is a disaster. You could get a parking slot near to the hotel lobby lift if you come in before noon, otherwise you would need to park somewhere near to the mall parking and walk 10mins in the car park to the hotel lobby lift. This is by far the worst hotel car park I have experienced in Malaysia.

First the good part. This hotel is superbly located at has a direct link to the 1 Utama Mall which is full of shops and restaurant outlets. The room is spacious and very well kept although the bed is a little too hard. Breakfast variety was also very good.
The bad part. At check in, I was told there was a RM20 “deposit” payable. So I paid this in cash. At check out, I asked for the return of the deposit and was told that what I paid for was not a “deposit” but a tourism tax.
I told the staff that all taxes (including the tourism tax) were fully paid when I booked on trip.com. I also showed the booking details on the app proving that the tourism tax was included in the total amount I paid for.
I was asked to show the receipt before they could refund me. As I was rushing to the airport, I had to leave the hotel without the refund.
The staff should be better trained to inform guests on what they are actually paying for (whether it’s a deposit or a tax).
And the staff should also know from their system if all taxes have been paid for or if any excess should be collected. Not everything is a “deposit” which is highly misleading.
While it was a good overall stay, this incident left a negative impression.
The hotel is located at a convenient location. The general outlook is it needs an upgrade.
The service was mediocre the room was not serviced when I returned and there is an intermediate door to the next room which was not lockable.
The wall between the rooms is very thin one could hear all the conversation.
Great Family Getaway with Relaxing Seaside Vibes
We had a wonderful short getaway with the family at this decent and well-maintained hotel. Each room comes with a balcony, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset, feel the refreshing sea breeze, and listen to the soothing sound of the waves—truly relaxing!
The infinity pool is small but offers a lovely view, perfect for unwinding. The seaside is clean, though not suitable for swimming, but our kids had a great time playing in the sand.
We didn’t face any issues with the buggy service—it was efficient and fast, even though others had mentioned delays in earlier reviews. Parking is located a bit far from the hotel, but there’s a 24/7 shuttle service that runs smoothly and made things very convenient.
A special highlight was the free fire show on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights at 8 PM. It lasts around 30 minutes and was a big hit with the kids!
The only area that could use improvement is the breakfast. The selection was limited, and food wasn’t replenished quickly during peak times. We hope to see better variety and service in the future.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and we’d be happy to return!

I stayed at Dorsett Grand Subang for a 2-night business trip and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel staff were courteous and efficient, the check-in process was smooth, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a business traveler. The location is convenient with easy access to nearby amenities and dining options.
The only drawback during my stay was the limited parking space. At peak hours, finding a spot was challenging, which could be inconvenient for guests with their own vehicle.
Despite the parking issue, I would still recommend Dorsett Grand Subang for business stays due to its service, comfort, and location.

Love this Hotel so much except long when you come to check in. Bringing Kids enjoy all the facilities for example Water park adventure located at 5th floor and first floor wonderland explore for kids playing games and joining some activities but activities need more extra paid .
The room was comfortable and quite spacious, The gym room was perfect and the management person was very friendly. Sunway Hotel also provided a sauna room and locker for guests to enjoy.
Definitely will come back again if price can be more affordable 😄.

AAnonymous UserSpacious room. In terms of service, the checkout process is quite long for a long journey. 15 minutes it tooks like half an hour for family with small children😅. Need to pay deposit rm250 upon check-in & will be return back once check-out (need to wait 15minutes to make sure the room are okay). The breakfast is not have many choices & i would gave 3/5 for the breakfast. Overall i would give 3.5/5.
BBlueberryOThis place is fun and clean, the only thing I would say is that they could’ve catered more to kids with kids toothbrushes and a stool for a little kids and kids shampoo, etc. The Thai restaurant is really beautiful on the water. The breakfast buffet is delicious with lots of choices. Everything is really close to the hotel room and it’s walking distance, but there is a buggy service if you need to for your luggage. stocks are very helpful as I forgot to pack something and was left in the room. Recommend to come during low season.

AAnonymous UserThe location is very good because we can easily walk to McDonald. The pool has no lifeguards so we had to be very careful when playing in the pool and it has a lot of leaves 🍁 in the pool. The morning breakfast (Nasi lemak) was not so tasty as I had high hopes for it……
