I have been to this hotel several times in the past many years with my family. Our stays had always been wonderful, though in recent 2 years I am starting to notice the rooms are looking quite dated and not as excellent looking as before. Comfort wise, it maintains and overall always gives us a good night sleep. As it is fasting month for the muslims, room service is not offered but it does cater to much earlier ”sahur” buffet from 4.30am-6am before the breakfast buffet stafts for in house guest at 6.30am. We both enjoyed the sahur buffet alot, good selection of food including nasi lemak and it's sides, white rice with variety of malay cuisine lauks like rendang ayam, ikan tenggiri asam pedas, masak lemak rebung. There is live egg station, as well as rice congee stall and mee soup stall aside to the usual bakery spread section, cereals and yogurt section, fruits & fresh salad bar and western breakfast like chicken slice, chicken sausage, stir fry veggies. Juices, milk, teh tarik, coffee, coffee from it's coffee machine and kopi melayu from the kettle. There is welcome drinks (mixed orange and rose cordial drink) which we had ours at moreh time after coming back from baju raya shopping at The Curve next to the hotel.

Traveling to Malaysia or having an overnight layover? Ditch those hard airport benches! Let me share my experience at Sama-Sama Hotel, the only 5-star airport hotel at KLIA T1. ✈️ If you're arriving on an international flight (at KLIA Terminal 1), whether you need a good rest after a long journey or have an early flight the next day, this hotel is definitely your top choice. 🚗 How to get from Arrivals to the Hotel? (Includes shuttle service guide) Please do not attempt to walk with heavy luggage; it's quite a distance (approx. 500 meters). 🛬 Arrive at Level 2: After clearing immigration and collecting your baggage, take the elevator to Level 2. 📍 Find the Buggy Station: Look for signs pointing to 'Sama-Sama Hotel.' The shuttle station is directly opposite the Food Garden. 🚗 Call a Shuttle: There's a dedicated 24-hour free buggy service. Just wait a moment (or press the call button), and a uniformed staff member will drive you and your luggage via an indoor skybridge directly to the hotel lobby in just 3 minutes. 🍳 A 'Food City' Level Breakfast that Amazes the Taste Buds The hotel's Continents restaurant offers 24-hour service, and its breakfast is renowned. 🥘 A Fusion of Global Flavors: Malaysian dishes (the Nasi Lemak is a must-try!), Chinese dim sum and hot congee, authentic Indian curry with Roti Canai, Thai Tom Yum, and a full Western breakfast spread. 🍰 Dessert Paradise: A wide variety of Western cakes, freshly baked bread, and colorful Nyonya pastries, all visually stunning. 🏨 Hotel Facilities and History Although the hotel opened in 1998 (formerly Pan Pacific), it underwent extensive renovations when it rebranded as Sama-Sama in 2013. It's incredibly well-maintained and exudes a 5-star quality. ✨ Room Types: Offers 442 rooms, including Deluxe, Premier, and more luxurious Suites. The rooms feature double-glazed windows for excellent soundproofing, and some even offer views of the tarmac. 🏊♀️ Swimming Pool and Gym: The outdoor tropical garden pool on the 1st floor has a fantastic ambiance, and the 24-hour gym is fully equipped. 💆 Sari Kayangan Spa: Provides professional Malay massage services, perfect for relieving flight fatigue. 🍸 Traveller’s Bar & Grill: Features live band performances in the evening, offering steaks and various cocktails in a wonderful atmosphere. ✨ As a national airport hotel, it frequently hosts dignitaries, sports stars (like F1 drivers), and VVIPs attending international conferences. 💡 How to choose a transit hotel❓ ✅ Sama-Sama has two properties at KLIA T1; choose based on your needs: 1️⃣ Sama-Sama Express (airside/near Gate C5): No immigration required, suitable for short transits of up to 6 hours, charged hourly, and more affordable. 2️⃣ Sama-Sama Hotel (landside/this review's focus): Requires immigration clearance into Malaysia. Highly recommended for stays longer than 6 hours! Offers larger spaces, more comfortable bedding, and a full range of facilities.👍

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. Parking was very convenient and easily accessible for customers, which is a big plus. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and professional, always ready to assist with any questions or requests.

I had a wonderful stay at Bangi Resort Hotel. The check-in process was smooth and pleasant, thanks to Mr. Aizat, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. He even upgraded my room from a Deluxe to a Premium room, which made the stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Special thanks to the team for the complimentary birthday cake for my wife — it was a thoughtful surprise that made our celebration extra meaningful. Overall, great service, beautiful environment, and a memorable experience. Highly recommended! 🎉🏨✨

Sunway Resort Hotel is absolutely amazing! It's like a giant playground. The lobby is incredibly grand and opulent, and the staff are all super warm and friendly. There are phone charging sockets everywhere in the lobby, but you'll need an adapter. The entire resort is beautiful, and there's a huge shopping mall with tons of restaurants just past the restaurant on the right side of the front desk, making dining incredibly convenient. I highly recommend this hotel; check-in here is full of pleasant surprises!

I brought my mum to stay at Monkey Canopy Resort for a short getaway. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The weather was extremely hot, and the room felt like a sauna. The air-conditioning took a very long time to cool down, which made it uncomfortable to rest, especially for elderly guests. On top of that, the blanket provided in the room was dirty, which is unacceptable for a resort stay as cleanliness should be a basic standard. We had dinner at Sticks & Baron restaurant, and I’d like to compliment the staff there. The staff was friendly and thoughtful — she asked whether we were in-house guests, and after I confirmed, we were given an additional discount. That was good service. However, the experience at the go-kart counter at night (around 9pm) was very disappointing. The cashier did not ask whether we were in-house guests and directly charged us RM80 per person. Only after payment, she told us that the charge could not be voided. This resulted in us missing out on the in-house guest discount. This kind of mistake should not be borne by the customer. The staff should always check guest status before charging. This left us with a bad impression and affected our overall experience at the resort. Hope the management can improve on room cooling efficiency and staff training on proper procedures.

This is my first time staying at the One World Hotel, which is recommended by my friend. It’s a very grand and clean 5-Stars hotel, which is located away from the usual busy Bukit Bintang. The hotel is directly link to the 1-Utama shopping mall, which is very convenient if you need to buy or eat anything. Upon arrival, there is bellboy helped to load the luggage and placed aside till check-in. The service is fast and efficient. The check-in is hassle free. However, it is not for the check-out, as you need to join together in the same queue as those who check-in. There is no quick and fast self check-out. The room comes with two Queen beds, which is good and ideal for a family stay. It is clean and tidy. It also comes with some complimentary drinks, snacks and also bathtub which my kids love to bath in. For the breakfast, it is just located directly near the lift at a lower floor after the lobby. The spread is amazing, the quality of the food is great and it tastes really nice and delicious. One of the highlight is the prata, which is freshly made on the spot and it is crispy and tasty. Next is the pastry, especially the Pain au chocolat, the chocolate is so rich and creamy. Likewise for the buttery croissant. They do sell them in their bakery too. It is definitely a breakfast not to be missed! They have amazing swimming pools which has the normal usual one and another is for the kids to play in. The overall experience is great and we have a wonderful time staying in One World Hotel. We will definitely come back again next time. Thank you One World!

I experienced several issues that were disappointing and did not meet basic hotel standards: No toiletries were provided, including essential items such as a toothbrush. Additionally, a disposable laundry bag was also not provided. A dirty towel was left behind the door, which appeared to be from a previous guest. This raises concerns about the thoroughness of the housekeeping service. The pillow in the room had an unpleasant smell, similar to stale saliva or old drool, making it uncomfortable and unhygienic to use. As a guest, I expect a clean room and basic amenities to be properly prepared before check-in. Unfortunately, this experience fell below expectations. I hope management will take this feedback seriously and improve housekeeping and room inspection procedures

GGuest UserHotel Amenities: There's a gym in the middle, a Western restaurant on the first floor (for breakfast and buffet), a Chinese restaurant on the second floor, and a pool (none of them are very big). The pool closes at 7 PM, even before the sun sets. You can go to the Western restaurant area to continue waiting for the sunset. Room Amenities: The room size is fine, with a balcony facing the sea. We stayed in 012 which had an unobstructed view, good privacy, and a decent view. The room has a sofa bed. Our twin room could be combined to make a 2-meter bed, which is larger than a standard 1.8-meter king bed (good for families with children). Some rooms originally had a wooden second floor. If you're sensitive to noise, you might want to consider staying upstairs, but getting luggage up the stairs would be difficult. I saw some people mention there was no bottled water in the room. Actually, there's a drinking water tap next to the sink faucet. We're not used to drinking tap water, so we brought our own portable kettle, which solved the drinking water issue. Facility Complaints: The bathroom had a strong, unpleasant smell that wouldn't dissipate and even backed up – it was really stinky. Also, the shower water drained very slowly, causing the entire bathroom to flood. We woke up one morning to a power outage in the room, which was quite unusual, but they sent someone to fix it by the time we were having breakfast. Service: Mainly the shuttle service. On the first afternoon at the restaurant, there were plenty of shuttles, coming every few minutes. But on the second day, during check-out, we waited for 20 minutes. Calling for a shuttle is difficult; it's best to have someone wait at the door and flag down any passing vehicle. You might have to walk back and forth a few times to get one. The resort does have multi-seater vehicles, but during check-out, only small cars were available – the kind that gets full with just one family and their luggage. I find the hotel's arrangement hard to understand. We weren't far from the lobby, but it started raining, and there were no umbrellas in the room, otherwise I would have just walked. Environment: The seawater really wasn't pretty; it was yellowish-green, regardless of the weather. We wanted to take our child to the beach, but they refused to go. The second day, it rained all day, so there were no activities or entertainment. We just stared at the sea and played cards on the balcony (the balcony and table had gaps, and a card accidentally fell into the sea!😭). Dining: There are no other options nearby, and Grab doesn't offer food delivery. During Chinese New Year, the Chinese restaurant only had special CNY set menus, which were very large portions, like a five-person 'poon choi' (basin dish) for an eight-person table – way too much food. We opted for the buffet instead. It was 88 for adults and 40 for children. The kids ended up only eating rice with tofu and stewed meat, bread, and corn soup. Everything else was spicy, even the meat sauce pasta... and this was on Chinese New Year's Eve. Taste is subjective, but honestly, the local curries and laksa were delicious, though Chinese palates might not appreciate them as much. Apart from its location over the water, being a stilt hotel, overall, it's about a 3.5-star hotel by Chinese standards. I originally chose this hotel thinking it would be a shame to visit Malaysia and only do a city walk in Kuala Lumpur without seeing the sea. I wanted to find somewhere close, but it wasn't actually close at all – a 1.5-hour taxi ride, costing 170 on Grab. It's really not worth it... let go of that obsession. Unless you don't mind bad weather, just want a quiet place to zone out, and have no particular demands for food.
