Where to Watch the 2026 World Cup | Tamachi & Mita: Irish Pub "Murphy's" Tamachi — A Pre-Match Stroll Through Zojoji Temple Outer Garden & Shiba Park Plot 4 Observation Deck. — traveler post in Sanda

Where to Watch the 2026 World Cup | Tamachi & Mita: Irish Pub "Murphy's" Tamachi — A Pre-Match Stroll Through Zojoji Temple Outer Garden & Shiba Park Plot 4 Observation Deck.

Starting from the Mita Exit of JR Tamachi Station, head first to the Zojoji Temple Outer Garden—take in the black-lacquered gate, the ginkgo-lined paths (absolutely stunning in autumn), and the main hall's gilded bronze roof gleaming in the sunset. Next, head up to the Shiba Park Plot 4 Observation Deck for a side view of Tokyo Tower. Afterwards, head down to Murphy's Tamachi: a classic wood-paneled Irish pub pouring fresh Guinness on draft with just the right broadcast volume. You can also easily get there from Shibakoen Station on the Toei Mita Line; it's incredibly convenient if you're staying at a business hotel in Shibaura or Tamachi (like the Mets chain). One night while watching an England match, an IT consultant sitting next to me who had just clocked out from overtime joked, "The bell at Zojoji is more punctual than the kickoff." I highly recommend this spot for anyone "catching a game while on a business trip"—Zojoji offers a fleeting sense of the ancient capital, while Murphy's provides an English-speaking fan community without the hassle of detouring to Roppongi. Elegant, laid-back, and efficient—perfectly capturing the vibe of Tamachi.

[Hyogo / Sanda] A Traditional Folk House Cafe Nestled in a Lush Forest. — traveler post in Sanda

[Hyogo / Sanda] A Traditional Folk House Cafe Nestled in a Lush Forest.

🌳 Fukiage no Mori 📍 Sanda, Hyogo (A 6-minute drive from Sanda Station) A charming, historic residence tucked away in the woods. The vintage interior created a comforting and somewhat nostalgic atmosphere🌿 This time around, I ordered: ・Forest Obanzai Set (1,800 yen) ・Seasonal Mini Parfait (1,000 yen) ・Strawberry Milk Shortcake Shaved Ice (1,500 yen) 📝 The "Forest Obanzai Set" changes its menu every month. I love being able to enjoy a little bit of several different side dishes☺️ The set included: · Tamago Kake Gohan (Raw egg on rice) · Fluffy shrimp cutlet · Lotus root & hijiki seaweed deli-style salad · Chawanmushi (Savory steamed egg custard) · Homemade sesame tofu · Spring cabbage & wakame seaweed miso soup · Pickles For the Tamago Kake Gohan, you can choose between a fluffy meringue style and a regular style. I went with the fluffy one this time🥚✨ The airy meringue was so light, and the natural sweetness of the egg really stood out. All the obanzai (traditional Japanese side dishes) had a mild, comforting flavor and offered great variety. It was unique and memorable to find udon noodles hidden inside the chawanmushi☺️ The sesame tofu was also incredibly smooth and delicious. For dessert, I got the seasonal mini parfait, which is exclusively available to those who order the obanzai set🍓 Despite the name "mini," it was surprisingly generous in size◎ It was a luxurious treat featuring both strawberry mascarpone and Jersey milk ice cream, topped with homemade strawberry syrup, custard, and even slices of homemade pound cake. The mascarpone ice cream was definitely my favorite☺️ The locally grown Sanda strawberries were the perfect balance of sweet and tart, too. The limited-time "Strawberry Milk Shortcake Shaved Ice" was massive and totally show-stopping🍧 It looked absolutely adorable! It featured milk-based shaved ice drizzled with Asuka Ruby strawberry syrup from Sanda. As I dug in, I found crunchy crumbles and other tasty surprises hidden inside✨️ . . . . Time seems to slow down inside the cafe, creating a laid-back vibe where you can just relax and take in nature. The view of the greenery through the windows was incredibly soothing🌳 It's a very popular spot, so it was quite bustling. I made sure to book a table beforehand this time. Just a heads-up, advance reservations are only accepted for the 11:30 AM seating◎ You can get there by bus from Sanda Station, but they have a parking lot, so driving might be the easiest option🚗 It’s the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon enjoying lunch and sweets surrounded by nature. This is definitely a cozy cafe I’d want to revisit every season🌿 . . . . 📌 1013 Miwa, Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture ⏱ 11:30 AM - 5:00 PM 🗓 Closed on Wednesdays & Thursdays 🚗 Parking available . . . . ⁡

[Hyogo] A lovely cafe surrounded by nature

I went to a restaurant called "Uwanosora" in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture! 📍1891-27 Sue, Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture It was a wonderful restaurant surrounded by nature! The interior was calm and cozy! I had a healthy lunch packed with vegetables and a mini strawberry chiffon cake for dessert! It was a wonderful time eating delicious food while soothed by the cute interior and the beautiful view from the window! Apparently, you can sometimes get in without a reservation, so I recommend making a reservation beforehand!

It's great. This hot spring combines gold, silver, and carbonated baths; you can choose whichever you want. They give you a bag with a towel and bath towel when you enter, which you can return after use. The price is a bit high, but it's worth it because it offers more options than just soaking in the gold or silver baths individually. If you want to soak in either of those separately, you can choose separately.

Besides the real spring water, it felt like a bathhouse in China during the summer, albeit with a more elaborate process. First, change into a bathhouse outfit, then shower, then put on your bathhouse outfit to change into your own clothes before leaving. No rest required, and the same process continued. I was given a key box twice. The cashier was quite quick. The food was reasonably priced.

Overall the experience was good even thought it was a rainy day, a bit hard to explore the park and go into outdoor attractions. USJ very well organized. Super Mario is amazing as well as Donkey Kong area. You must ride the roller coaster over there. If you love zombies go in the last week of October, the atmosphere of the park is unique. It was worht the 104 USD. Avoid weekends. From Monday to Thursday is fine to enjoy.

Mt. Rokkō Snow Park

We came in a tropical country, no winter, no snow. That’s why, visiting a snow park is part of our Itinerary and Rokkosan Snow Park made our dream came true. Though the road to the park is really a tough one, we managed to not throw up 😅. Hoping next time the Rokko Cable Car is working already. But overall, it was an enjoyable trip. We loved it! 😍

At first they said there is a waiting line of 1h. I was about to go to another place, but I simply waited and it was best choice. This place is so big and nice! I will go again for sure. Also outside the park there are 2 waterfalls

The Gold Bath is not big. You can use the Gold Bath or the Silver Bath for 650 yen. If you use both baths, it will be 1,200 yen, which is quite affordable. You can buy tickets at the machine after taking off your shoes. If you don't bring a towel, you can buy a small towel or a large towel at the counter for 200 yen or 500 yen. I think the small towel is the size of the normal face towel, which is usually enough. There are two pools inside, 42℃ and 44℃ respectively, neither of which is big. For most people, 40-50 minutes of bubble bathing is considered a long time.

Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan

I always wanted to checked out Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan since years ago but only now we have the chance. Sadly we were just went to Singapore Oceanarium, which is newer and had huge collections of marine life especially a lot more Jelly Fishes than Osaka. A Few differences Osaka has Whales, Penguins and Sea Lion, and Seal. Singapore does not have that. The crowds in Osaka Kaiyukan is really too crowded.

Kobe Suma Seaworld

A must-visit in Kobe is Suma Ocean World! This is one of the few aquariums in Western Japan where you can watch orcas. The sight of orcas leaping out of the water is truly breathtaking. The dolphin interactions are lively and fun. You might even get splashed by water if you're in the front row! The aquarium is divided into multiple exhibit areas, including intertidal zone, jellyfish, penguin, and seal exhibits, offering a wealth of content. You can also observe various marine life up close. The venue is thoughtfully designed, making for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The overall atmosphere is soothing, making it suitable for families or couples. After visiting the aquarium, enjoying Kobe Wagyu beef is simply perfect!
