Arriving for our two night stay we were impressed by the huge lobby. Check in was smooth with pleasant service. We were able to find a space to park on the road outside after having dropped our bags off in the room. We booked a suite and although it was very spacious, it lacked some luxury items that we had hoped for in the best rooms in the hotel. The suite was split into three separate areas - the bedroom was airy with a comfortable bed, reasonable sound proofing from the road below, adequate air conditioning. There was no tea/coffee making facilities and we would have liked robes and slippers to relax in. The sitting area had a sofa, but you sat staring at a blank wall, as the second TV as shown on the website was missing from our room. The bathroom had twin sinks, but a walk-in shower would have been nicer than stepping into the bath. Now for breakfast - this can only be described as a disaster! It was busy when we arrived, but we found one of the last made up tables and got juice. It was then we noticed a line of 8 or 9 people queuing at the only working coffee machine. The other two had run out and the overworked staff were struggling to do everything. We went for cereals, but had to ask for bowls as they had not been replenished. The same applied to the scrambled eggs, so again we had to ask for more. Whilst waiting for them, our table was cleared away, despite their being full drinks cups on it. When the scrambled eggs were brought out, we thought we would get some nice hot food, but when returning to our new table they were cold! The following day was a slight improvement, but still drinks machines kept needing to be refilled and guests having to request missing items. This hotel has the potential to be so much better.

Taking the least expensive 2 rooms over 7 days is a real test. This hotel is solid. Positives include: Best Housekeepers, Fastest Laundry Service, Fastest Room Service, Good Breakfast, Clean Room. Best Parking. Easy access to all directions around Lugo. Negatives: Guests seem to slam doors here alot and it sounds like gunshots ( use earplugs if this is an issue), Front facing rooms overlook a main road, bit in winter with the windows closed this was not an issue. A reminder this is not so much a tourist hotel but a busy business/transit hotel. Very busy restaurant cafeteria...staff there always smiling and cheerful. Alot to like at this hotel.

This should be higher up on the list of hotels for Lugo. As the title says Very mdoern, chic, fairly tasteful, looks brand new inside. I remarked to the young lady who checked us in that I was looking forward to our stay there as it was a large room, 35 sauare meters and as we had a lot of luggage that made things a lot easier. When we got to our room, it was clear it not the right one. It was a small room that did not look at all like the one I booked. I verified that it was wrong by checking their website and sure enough she had given us a much cheaper room. This has happened many times to us. Very annoying. We went back down with our luggage and informed her of her msitake and showed her the picture and the name of the room we booked and our confirmation. Despite that she said that the room we showed her was a suite and we had not booked a suite. There was only one problem with that. Their website did even show a room called a suite and not the one we booked, which we insisted was the one we would get as it was what we paid for. She did it, but it was clear by her attitude and behavior that she convinced we were trying to scam her. Quite frankly, I was appalled, so much so that I thought of leaving, but it was late and we were tired. When we got to our new room, the right one, my wife and I both agreed it was what we booked. We called up to tell the young lady and said she could come up and see that it matched the one we booked on the website, if she still had doubts. She was not much interested. We then settled in and found the room more like a suite ( she was right about the way it was structured ), in that it had a small area when you walk in where you can sit, nothing great, but a good place to stash our luggage out of the way. The sleeping area was fairly spacious, perhaps a bit smaller than I thought, with the dreaded sink, double sink, actually, as part of the sleep area. I say dreaded because when someone goes to the toilet ( in a small room with a door ) and then comes out to wash their hands, the noise can wake you up. It may even have had an always on light, as well, I can’t remember for certain. Despite everything, we found the room clean, modern, comfortable with a nice large TV. We spent the entire next day in that room as my wife was not feeling, one of 7 days on this trip we stayed in the room because she was not feeling well, not to mention almost all the other days when we got out late for the same reason. For this reason, I spend extra care in trying to choose a good hotel and room as I know we may be spending the bulk of our time staying in. And this room worked perfectly for that purpose. I should also mention that everything in the room worked properly, including HVAC and TV and the bathroom, a relative rarity these days and that at the price we paid for it, it was a pretty good deal. The hotel had a restaurant/ bar on the main floor. I had a suspicion it might have been pretty good, but we did not patronize it. Fin

The hotel is located in the centre of the wall, with a 4-star hotel. Very quiet and allows you to walk to all the locations for the good location. The restaurant has an impressive terrace. Very good service and very clean and cosy rooms
