Andong-si Villas

CY ( 20.10.23 ) There was located in central area in Andong, I didn't check hotel review, so I was failed to choose hotel. I chose this hotel, the named ”hotel” and price, and I believed there was hotel. But there was just motel with motel price. I didn't understand why I pay more price thought online booking about 15%. So I asked staff why more expensive? The answer was simple, because of online booking fee. I think I was fooled. In this mood, I felt terrible on my Andong trip. If there introduced ”Motel” and same price online and offline, there was above normal reputation. But this two point made me there terrible hotel.

The facilities are a bit outdated, but clean, clean bedding, and the boss is very friendly. You can provide breakfast, you can have three cereals, five milk, five coffee drinks, three toast, three ramen, three egg fries. Location is good in front of a big hospital, near a bus stop, near a new market, about 10 minutes walk to the old market. There are many Koreans, but more than half of foreigners. I think it's good to stay as a family. Satisfied.

General hardware, very good location

Situated in Andong, 4.6 km from Andong Folk Museum, Queen Motel Andong features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is located 15 km from Bongjeongsa, 24 km from Hahoe Mask Museum and 27 km from Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy. The property is non-smoking and is set 6.4 km from Andong Icheondong Seokbulsang. All rooms in the motel are fitted with a TV with cable channels. The rooms are fitted with a private bathroom with a shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer. At Queen Motel Andong every room includes bed linen and towels. The accommodation can conveniently provide information at the reception to help guests to get around the area. Yeongju City Hall is 34 km from Queen Motel Andong, while Kyungbuk College is 36 km from the property. The nearest airport is Daegu International Airport, 98 km from the motel.

There was nothing else in terms of service, the amenities were cheap, and there were no facilities to use, so it was just a place to sleep, but the room was better than I expected. I think my mother felt comfortable and liked it because the interior gave the feeling of a bright home rather than the usual dark hotel room. The bed is hard. My mother wanted to go to the Provincial Office, so I booked it nearby. Although it was too far from any tourist attraction, there was Hahoe Village nearby and it was a new town, so it was clean and nice, so the neighborhood was nice and clean. I think I'll stay here again next time I come to Andong!

We stayed here for 3 nights in order to go to Haoho village and see the begining of the Andong Mask festival and for the price we paid were very happy. Hotel is an easy 5 minute walk from the Andong railway station so no taxi needed. We were checked in with the most warm welcome ever although our Korean and his English was lacking. Given a map of the area where all needed bus routes were clearly marked. Very friendly front of house. Hotel is quite old and very traditional. We took a standard double room on the 3rd floor . Lift access. Room was clean and although everything was there, TV, kettle, fridge, complimentary water, in room WiFi aircon and double glazing room was however a bit basic. We had a small sitting area but little storage space. Matress was so hard making this our only issue. Bathroom was Ok, we had a shower, good supply of towels. We had little outside noise however on one evening we could hear the children from a family upstairs running around. This did not spoil our sleep. We had breakfast outside the hotel each morning. Odd numbering of the floors above our floor (floor 3) was floor 5. Location is good very walkable into the town, 5-20 minutes to a good choice of eating places, cafes and restaurants with numberof 7-33s close by.Great coffee place just past Starbucks in town. Not sure that this is the best hotel in town however it represents good value for money and the guy front of house is really approachable.

Location is great, few minutes walking from the bus stop where to take the bus to go to Hahoe, and few minutes walking from the center. Room was spacious and clean. Price a bit expensive in my view considering the prices I paid in other locations in Korea. I was happy I chose this hotel because of the location, but I think there is some room for improvements: - no english speaking staff (but this I knew at the moment of the reservation); - this is a love hotel, but it was not written anywhere at the moment of the reservation. For me this was not an issue but I think that it should be clearly mentioned so that people can decide if to stay in this kind of accomodation r not; - I asked for a quiet room, they let me choose between 2 rooms. The first ones smelt like of cigarettes so I chose the second one. During the night there was a lot of noise (I guess it was the ventilation system) and I couldn't sleep even with earplugs. I have asked to change room to let me sleep as the day after I needed to wake up early but they told me it was not possible even if there were plenty of rooms available (rooms available are with door left open)

It can be said that I have lived in the favorite youth hotel. When I enter it, I will be attracted by the comfortable environment and the leisurely atmosphere. I feel relaxed and comfortable without consciously feeling in my heart, especially the book lovers will like it more; This youth hostel is not only a hotel, in all corners can also see masks, soaking wine, academy and other decorations containing Anton characteristics, the first people who come to Anton can also borrow the layout of the museum, have a preliminary understanding of Anton. In addition, the breakfast is rich and healthy, and the boss is very kind (I also want to thank the boss who is willing to help me find the post office, but I have to hurry to send postcards), and I also met interesting roommates here, leaving good memories, so I want to visit Anton and this hotel many times. The only downside was that on the way back at night, there were few street lights and it was a bit scary to walk. It can be said to be a 'life youth hostel'!!! As soon as I entered, I was attracted by the comfortable environment and cozy atmosphere, and I was very happy~~~ It is especially suitable for reading addicts. In addition, it can be said that it is not only a youth hostel, but also a cultural space where you can learn more about Andong. You can see decorations with the characteristics of the interior, such as Hahoetal, Suzhou, and Seowon everywhere. In addition, you can have a delicious and nutritious breakfast. The boss is also kind (I tried to send a postcard to my friend, but the post office is far away and the boss bought a stamp and sent it in the middle of the situation where Shigin is tight. Thank you). And I met a friendly roommate and left a very good memory!!! I think I will visit a lot in Andong and this youth hostel in the future :) The only downside is the surrounding environment. It was a little scary if I went back late. Fortunately, it is close to the bus terminal.

As soon as I entered, the sound of wow came out. I am very satisfied as it is clean and spacious~ I ate breakfast for free (toast, cup ramen, cereal, etc.) I had a nice rest~ If you go to Andong, be sure to stay~
