Sint Niklaas was going thru a process of major road and town works. Confusing one-way systems at play gave me a flat tyre reversing back around the right way and hitting a bunch of stones popping out the ground near the kerb.
I think it would be nice to return once the town face-lift is complete... 🤔
Ibis, I thought you'd be better than that. €20 deposit for a kettle and no milk, coffee, tea, or sugar in your room on arrival.. 😒
The ladies working there were lovely enough to give my gf & I a smile 🥰 they know where to park and at what times to pay the machines at the car parks 🤓
Cheap and fairly cheerful but also stressful to load and unload. 🤕
The hotel is beautifully located. Not in the middle of the city bump, but you come to walk everywhere super. The room is large and from the facility enough for a short visit. The staff of the reception are very helpful and friendly. A great deal was breakfast. You have to book a Timeslot in the morning, for which you want to breakfast. Nevertheless, the buffet is completely overlaped, all tables are occupied and staff are not complying with the refilling of the food, so there were almost only empty baskets and plates. Sunday was a little empty, but nevertheless no one kept the overview so our table was covered, although we were fast on the buffet and our card + mobile was still on the table. There is definitely still a need for a reduction
The room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.
The hotel room was neat. The breakfast is very good. We were here between Christmas and New Year's Eve and that meant that the bar on the ground floor was closed. The sky bar has a limited offer at much higher prices. The view (highway, industrial estate) is not a reason to choose the sky bar.
The hotel is one stop away from Ghent's central station. Some trains pass through Ghent and then reach this station in one stop. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the station.
You can take a bus, ride a bicycle or walk to the old town of Ghent (each has a different experience). There is a bus terminal and a Carrefour near the hotel (but the quality of fresh food in this Carrefour is not very good, I recommend Albert Heijn in the city center)
The hotel has a parking lot, and the lobby is shared with Ibis style (the price is similar, the rooms here are larger and have a small kitchen). The small kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, microwave, kitchen utensils and tableware)
You can take a train from Ghent to Bruges, Antwerp and Brussels (the one-way train journey is less than 1 hour). At night, you can also enjoy the beautiful night view of the ancient city of Ghent. It is highly recommended.
Opposite the City Hall, the location is very good. It was still under renovation when I went there during the National Day in 2024. You can basically walk to all the attractions. The front desk is very nice, and the WiFi can be upgraded to premium for free.
The hotel is located in the city center, surrounded by various historical sites such as Cityhall and St. Jacob's Church. There is also AH nearby, which is very convenient. Although located in the city center, it is very quiet at night, highly recommended.
The room was clean and tidy. We upgraded to a sea view room with a beautiful industrial style. It was so beautiful to listen to old records and look at the sea view. When checking in, they kindly handed us drinks and fruits. The front desk also had Fuji apples every day. Although they were not in the room, we were welcome to pick up two when we passed by. The downside was that the room was very small, the window could not be opened, and there were layers of doors in the corridor. I didn't know what to do when the fire alarm went off. It was a bit stuffy and we didn't turn on the heater. Overall, it was good. It was a few minutes away from central by boat, which was very convenient. Recommended!
This is a family hotel in a small Belgian village. The host, Luce, is very elegant and polite. The rooms are in the nature of the upper and lower duplex small attic, very clean and very warm feeling. We are going to travel to Liège. As long as there is a car, it is very convenient to come here and go to Liège. The hotel is small and only has five or six rooms, with more than a dozen parking spaces, which is quite sufficient. The room cannot smoke, just smoke outside. The overall feeling is 99 points, it is recommended.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located in the center of Belgium, making it convenient for travelers to visit the three major cities of Bruges, Ghent and Brussels. The rooms are spacious, the environment is peaceful, and the staff are friendly.
YYunyaIt's like living in Hogwarts, so great! The carriage is a duplex room, with a window facing the church. You can watch the sunrise while lying in bed early in the morning. During the day, you can sit downstairs and make a pot of tea and sing on the street. It couldn't be more perfect~~
The only thing is that it is a historical protected building, and you need a strong man to carry the luggage in and out, hahaha🤣

欧欧洲一个人的旅行The location of this store is very good, just near the scenic spot. The staff service attitude was excellent. I arrived very late that day and it was 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, but the staff still welcomed me warmly. It is a mixed man and woman, but it is very quiet, everyone is very quality and order. It should be noted that everyone should check in as early as possible. When you arrive in the middle of the night, you may not be able to check in, but you can still stay. In addition, for my first time staying in the Youth Hostel, there is a small reminder that this house needs to bring the Bed sheet down and put it in the hall when you check out.

GGuest UserVery good four-star hotel, the service is very good, there is free parking at the door, it is very important for us to drive by car, it is very convenient to transfer at the highway intersection, there is a very rich breakfast, there is a mini refrigerator, we stayed for two days very satisfied, will stay again next time
WWendy Miu FungConvenient location and quiet room. The food selection of breakfast is not much but the other restaurant for lunch and dinner is quite good.
CCowquite far from the train station but close to attractions.
a rather old hotel. the door locks are the round shaped ones. the hot water supply of the shower was not quite steady. the room is quite small for europe i think.
the plus side is they gave us the room well before the official check in time. we arrived at around 10:30 and they gave us the room right away. there is a free breakfast buffet as well (even my room choice is the most basic one).
