The rooms are a bit small, but it is understandable because it is an ancient building that has been modernized. The location is the best in Ghent. There is a supermarket downstairs, McDonald's opposite, and the only taxi pick-up point in Ghent, which is convenient for going to the train station. The only advantage of the hotel's breakfast is that it is earlier than other breakfast shops. In short, I would still choose this shop if I go to Ghent early.

Spectacular location, we absolutely couldn't ask for better. We were in the pulsating center of Gent, in front of the town hall and the streets full of clubs in the heart of the characteristic Christmas market. The room was very large and spacious, more than enough for a couple. The structure is not the latest generation, but everything does its job. We only had one problem with the TV not working which, unfortunately, given the period it was not possible to solve. For the rest all the staff was kind and ready to our needs. The reception is open 24 hours a day. We would choose it again without a doubt.

The hotel is located near the train station, there is a supermarket nearby, and the room has a kitchen for cooking. It is recommended to everyone! You can choose to walk or take a bus to the attractions. The lobby and rooms are clean and tidy.

The room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.
Ibis Sint Niklaas Centrum

Sint Niklaas was going thru a process of major road and town works. Confusing one-way systems at play gave me a flat tyre reversing back around the right way and hitting a bunch of stones popping out the ground near the kerb. I think it would be nice to return once the town face-lift is complete... 🤔 Ibis, I thought you'd be better than that. €20 deposit for a kettle and no milk, coffee, tea, or sugar in your room on arrival.. 😒 The ladies working there were lovely enough to give my gf & I a smile 🥰 they know where to park and at what times to pay the machines at the car parks 🤓 Cheap and fairly cheerful but also stressful to load and unload. 🤕

Very good four-star hotel, the service is very good, there is free parking at the door, it is very important for us to drive by car, it is very convenient to transfer at the highway intersection, there is a very rich breakfast, there is a mini refrigerator, we stayed for two days very satisfied, will stay again next time

The hotel is really small. I have stayed in Leuven for 5 years and I have never paid attention to this hotel. This time I took my family to go sightseeing in Leuven. So choose to live here. If you are traveling and living, it is still possible. It’s okay to have two large and one small in the same room.

quite far from the train station but close to attractions. a rather old hotel. the door locks are the round shaped ones. the hot water supply of the shower was not quite steady. the room is quite small for europe i think. the plus side is they gave us the room well before the official check in time. we arrived at around 10:30 and they gave us the room right away. there is a free breakfast buffet as well (even my room choice is the most basic one).

Great location, great and helpful front desk, but house keeping was rather unclean / weird. I was still getting ready to leave my room, wearing my winter jacket and shoes etc, when the house keeping just entered the room and started cleaning the room straight away without giving me a little privacy before i leave. I was very uncomfortable and confused at that moment.
