The hotel is in a prime location, and it is very convenient to go to nearby attractions. It costs about 15 dollars to take a Didi taxi to China's No. 1 Arcade Building, so there is no traffic jam. The hotel is by the river and the environment is very good. Although the hotel has been established for a long time, its facilities are still kept relatively new, worthy of being a five-star hotel.

I had a great time staying at this hotel! Everything feels brand new and super high-tech — they even provide an electric toothbrush, which was such a nice touch. You can control the aircon and TV with your voice, and the whole room setup feels smooth and modern. I booked a suite with a peaceful, green view. Some trees block part of the river, but I personally liked the added privacy and nature vibes. For my parents, I chose a 270-degree view room — it offers a much clearer view of the Li River. The room is slightly smaller than the suite, but the view is absolutely worth it. Before staying here, I actually stayed at a hotel near Elephant Trunk Hill (象鼻山). That area was super busy and noisy, especially during the holidays. Compared to that, this hotel is on the quieter side of the river and feels much more relaxing. There’s also a beautiful park right next to the hotel, which is great for morning or evening walks. The location is still convenient — you can walk to sightseeing spots easily. Plus, there are plenty of food options nearby, and delivery is super easy. What really made the stay memorable was the service. I’ve lived in China for three years, and this was honestly the best hotel service I’ve ever received. Everyone — from the front desk to the canteen to housekeeping — was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Only minor downside: parking is limited. If you’re driving during a holiday, you might have to look around for a spot. If you’re after comfort, smart tech, and warm, genuine hospitality — this is the place to stay!

We have a wonderful stay at LUX* ChongZuo. Their staffs so friendly, and helpful. Everyone so polite. Our butler Nami is outstanding, she always give us a lot of information and suggestions through WeChat. What she did just makes us so happy. We really enjoyed to stay there. We also plan to come back again if we have an opportunity and time.

Very friendly family ran hotel. The greatest advantage is its location, which is only a few mins walk from one of the viewing platforms. The room are well maintained and clean. We booked the sunrise view room and the balcony looked like a painting. Logistically, you need to take the village tourist shuttle to get here from the Ping’an Village parking lot because it’s located within the protected area. You must let the ticket vendor know the name of your hotel so they drop you off at the right one (there are multiple hotels inside the protected area) This hotel is also about a 30 min walk from another viewing platform, which I would recommend doing if you have the time, as the walk was mostly flat and the scenery along the way was very nice as well. Breakfast is quite typical of the area and the dinner was also quite nice. Overall would stay here again!

Staying at Liangsu Hotel was one of the most magical parts of our journey through China. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking design, the serene natural surroundings, and the peaceful ambiance that made it feel like a slice of paradise. But what truly made our stay unforgettable were two incredible team members: Lynn and Rong. Lynn greeted us with the warmest smile and went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. Every recommendation she gave — from bike trails to hidden cafes — was spot on and made our experience even richer. Rong was equally amazing — thoughtful, kind, and always ready to help with the sweetest energy. You could feel they both genuinely cared. Liangsu isn’t just a hotel — it’s an experience. It’s the kind of place you never want to leave, and these two beautiful souls are a big reason why. We’re so grateful and already dreaming of coming back.

The hotel was conveniently located near the Romance show, West food street, and River within 10 min taxi ride. There are 3 small pools and 1 with kids slide. The family room where we stayed has a small slide and plush toys to help entertain small children. The breakfast has small options but sufficient. The Guilin rice noodles are delicious at breakfast. You can rent family scooters at the hotel for 50yuan an hour which was super fun as we rode to the river side. The Chinese restaurant right outside the hotel is also very delicious. The only downside is hotel staff are not fluent in English.

I didn't want to go to crowded attractions on March 3rd, so I heard from my friend that I came to Dongli to experience folk activities. Whether it was the construction of the village, the facilities of the homestay, or the reception capacity, they all exceeded my expectations. The prices were not high and the commercialization was not heavy. The villagers who performed were very hard-working. I booked a small courtyard to stay in. The housekeeper Xiao Wu was also very enthusiastic and responsible, reminding me of every schedule activity in detail. It was a good experience

This was a local hotel that was situated on a peak facing Jinfoding (Golden Buddha Peak), so note it’s not on Jinfoding itself but still in the same area of Jinkeng Dazhai. I hired a driver via the hotel to fetch me from Guilin Airport to the hotel. Journey took about 3 hours using local roads, if you can somehow negotiate with your driver to take the expressway from the airport, it will be about an hour shorter and less scenic but also less nauseating. Access to hotel is pretty limited unless you hire a driver or you drive. If you take the bus from Guilin downtown/Airport, it will only alight you at the Dazhai parking lot, and you still need to make transport arrangements to get to the hotel within the scenic area (anywhere between 20-40min drive) but the boss is helpful and very contactable (phone call or wechat). I wouldn’t recommend walking to the hotel cos it is situated at the top of a pretty steep hill and it is a one-car lane that goes both ways with many blind spots. At the hotel, you could choose to walk and hike the terraces to other viewpoints in Jinkeng, but note that the routes will be very long and exhausting. If you plan to visit other villages like Ping An Zhai, it’s about an hour’s drive away on mountain roads, and it’s best if you hire a driver as well. Overall, room was very clean and spacious and was true to trip.com description and pictures. Very comfortable, clean and scenic stay! Shower and toilet are separate and clean. There’s a bathtub situated right behind the bed, they provided disposable bathtub liner if you want to use it. Hotel is situated near one of the viewpoints in Jinkeng, but it was very misty on the day I hiked. From what I could make out through the mist, the views seem pretty epic. View from the room is great and the boss provided a welcome sweet rice wine drink with lunch which was great! The boss gave me some luohanguo as a souvenir when I checked out! Did I also mention, breakfast provided included a jar of fresh warm soy milk and a delicious bowl of rice noodles made to order! Will stay again in future!
