My partner and I recently had a fantastic stay at The Cross Hotel, a lovely spot for a couple's getaway. We agree wholeheartedly with the 5/5 ratings across the board—our experience was exceptional!
The location and service were truly top-notch. The staff members were attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, ensuring every need was met instantly and making us feel welcome.
The facilities and cleanliness are beautiful. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-designed, providing a perfect retreat for our trip.
Our only minor suggestions would be improving the soundproofing, as we could occasionally hear conversations and noise from the hallway, and perhaps checking the AC unit, which sometimes emitted an unusual odor when first turned on.
Despite those very small issues, we highly recommend The Cross Hotel and are already planning our next trip back!

If there is an option to give 6 stars I would definitely do for this hotel, it has exceeded my expectations on all levels, the hotel inside is a piece of art, everywhere is beautifuly decorated and very well designed, with a mix of modernity and elegance. The rooms are so comfy, tidy and clean, the material used is of high quality and the staffs go far and beyond to make sure we're very well welcome and all our needs are met. The location is amazing, close to the main attractions and to the train/metro station, I particularly loved the soundproofing as it's really something that I missed in other hotels especially very popular 5 stars ones.
I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Rome. PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET THE KEY OF YOUR HAPPINESS BY BOOKING THIS HOTEL!!

Nice Little boutique hotel, walkable to Termini Station, nice deco, room is clean, very friendly stuff, received complimentary drinks on arrival:)
Breakfast is very nice with lots of pastry varieties, and made to order coffee/cappuccinos
Air freshener is a little too strong, and room near street side can be a little noisy, overall very nice stay!

The hotel’s location is excellent—only a 7-minute walk from the train station, and most of Rome’s must-see sights are within about 20 minutes. If you want to stay in the center of everything, this place is a great choice.
However, the service was a nightmare. The elevator is almost a joke: maximum 2 people, extremely slow (luckily my room was on the 2nd floor). Maybe it’s cultural differences, but the staff here were the rudest I’ve ever experienced.
My flight from Nice to Rome was canceled, which meant I lost a night at the Hive. I called to ask for help canceling that night—it wasn’t my fault for not showing up—but both Trip.com and the hotel staff were completely unhelpful. Very disappointing and frustrating. My room was close to construction, non-stop noise over the night.
Bottom line: the location is great, but don’t expect any favors or kindness from the hotel. When you’re already stressed, their cold and unfriendly attitude will only make things worse.

I booked a last-minute stay at Hotel Impero and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Although the price was high due to the short notice, it was a good experience overall. The room was clean, reasonably spacious for one person, and conveniently located near Termini Station. The balcony offered a lovely view of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma 😃 The staff member who welcomed me late at night was very attentive and fluent in several languages. The one who handled my check-out was not as friendly, but nothing major. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel's location is superb, with easy access to buses, the metro, trains, and taxis. I initially thought a location like this might be noisy, but it was surprisingly quiet, allowing me to get a great night's sleep. I'm not sure if all rooms are this quiet, but mine certainly was. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices. The front desk staff were also very friendly. If I visit Rome again, I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel.
It is near the terminus of Metro Line B. It is quite far from the city center, but fortunately it is safe and clean. The room is relatively small, and the breakfast is a classic white breakfast. We stayed in Rome for one night and then went to the airport, so we chose this relatively cheap hotel. If you are visiting Rome, you should choose a hotel in the city center.
Hotel lobby and room were very clean. Breakfast was good with varieties, but still wish to have more choices in food. Room was well maintained, very comfortable, and modernized. Our group of friends did enjoy the complimentary cocktail drink and the lounge area for a small gathering. Hotel is very convienient to main streets and safe.

The hotel is very close to the train station and the airport shuttle stop, just a 10-minute walk away. It's also within walking distance of attractions like Santa Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum, and the Borghese Gallery. The metro station is nearby too, making it convenient to get to Vatican City.
The hotel has a classic style. The room was a bit small, but considering how expensive hotels are in Rome, it offered good value for money.
Being so close to the train station, I was initially worried about the neighborhood's environment and safety based on online reviews, but it turned out to be very nice and not chaotic at all. I'd definitely recommend it!

MMaria MDWe stayed as a family in a premium bungalow, it is very clean and well equipped. Im honestly really impressed how clean it is. All the linen, towels, duvet are spotless. There is a dishwasher, but we didnt have a dishwasher cleaning tablets, so we couldn’t use it. There is a bbq, we didnt use it either.
The pools amenities are fantastic and really clean. There are a few eateries, a shop, a laundry. Our location was far from the pool and playgrounds, the closer units might be challenging to stay in with kids, there is a lot happening and it is loud late in the evening. Overall we really enjoyed it and kids loved it. We didnt need the shuttle bus, so cant comment on it.
The only thing is that after a checkout I entered a shop to buy something and kept my credit card in my pocket, when I wanted to pay at a cashier, my card disappeared. I searched the small shop in case it fell out but no success. So I guess you have to be careful.
DdisasterEXEHotel Caravel is a few blocks away from Stazione Garbatella. The staff speak Spanish, English, and Italian (probably other languages as well). I had the pleasure to stay at Caravel for seven days with my father and they were very accommodating to his needs (such as keeping his laptop safe and providing him with an electric kettle for a night time cup of tea). They also have electric plug adaptors, and they offer third party laundry services. The hotel has accessible ramps, and the venue has a clothes store, bar, breakfast bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet is very varied with some food items made in-house.
I hope I get to stay with them next time I visit Rome. My favorite breakfast (which I had almost every day) is seen in this picture.
GGuest UserAn Unforgettable Stay with Exceptional Service at Starhotels
Hello, I’m a traveler from Korea who recently stayed at Starhotels during a family trip to Italy.
Our 4-day stay in Rome was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this heartfelt review as soon as I returned home.
This trip was our very first family vacation to Europe — with my mother and my son — and we spent the first three days in Rome at Starhotels. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the excellent location, the spotless rooms, and most of all, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were so satisfied that we decided to return to Starhotels for our final night in Italy. However, due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally booked the wrong date.
After completing a long 11-day journey through southern Italy, we returned to Rome exhausted — only to realize the booking was incorrect when we arrived at the hotel.
It was a stressful and overwhelming moment… until Mr. Tofael M., the manager, kindly stepped in to help us.
Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference.
Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter.
Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for.
As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out.
They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise.
Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. I also plan to recommend Starhotels, along with the outstanding service of Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola, to as many people as possible through blogs, travel communities, and any platform I can.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
GGuest UserFor those whose main purpose is to visit the Vatican, this is probably the best hotel in this price range.
However, by coincidence, it took a while for the hot water to come out of the shower, so that could be an area for improvement.
However, even with that in mind, I would highly recommend this hotel to those who want to enjoy a long stay in the Vatican.
AAnonymous UserTraveling to Rome, I unexpectedly booked this Ibis, which is exceptionally good value. It is less than a kilometer walk from the subway. The hotel is next to a quiet community on a high ground. It is very quiet, and people are running in the early morning. The transportation is convenient, and the nearby bus and light rail are good to go everywhere. The key is that the breakfast is particularly rich. There is a Chinese restaurant opened by Wenzhou people next to the subway station. Occasionally, you can adjust your stomach. It is not expensive and quite authentic. I went out to play in Pompeii for a day, and the luggage was stored in the hotel. The service was also very good. It will still be my first choice next time I come.

MM7760****The hotel's facilities are great, the lobby is grand, and the location is convenient. The room was neat and clean. However, the front desk staff who checked me in had the worst attitude I encountered during my entire 20+ day trip through Europe. I'm very grateful for the patient and thoughtful service from Trip.com's customer support, which made me feel so warm and cared for while being in a foreign country.
GGuest UserThe view is the best. In particular, the executive sea view seems to be the best in Fira Village.
However, there is no soundproofing, so you can hear everyone drinking and screaming at dawn.
Pick-up service is good (but expensive at 50 euros)
DDilysLHad a great 2 nights’ stay, room’s clean & neat, spacious w/ necessary amenity, our room can enjoyed site of a museum next to the hotel. Location’s convenient with 10 minutes’ walk to main train station. Pietro, the front desk officer was friendly and helpful.
