Excellent hotel. Beautiful, clean, traditional. The onsen was beautiful with a view of their garden. The water was heated perfectly with immaculately clean water. All amenities were offered when you stepped out into the changing room, ear buds, lotion, hair perfume, shampoo and conditioner. As you exit to your room there are two massage chairs to enjoy. The room we stayed in was perfect, It had a view of the bay, a big balcony, and three separate rooms. I was traveling with my son and this afforded me a private room to change my clothes and be separated while we slept. Freshly pressed kimonos were provided for the Onsen or/and to attend breakfast in. Now I'll talk about the highlight.! The breakfast buffet and dinner were included in the very reasonable price. The breakfast was extensive with fish, eggs,yogurt, homemade delicious jams, salads, fresh fruit, natto, sausages, rolls, bread, pastries, a coffee machine with choice of lattes, cappuccino, etc, a juice machine, fresh milk from famous Tanna dairy, and more! It was amazing! Dinner was also delicious, changing every night with selections such as broiled fish set, fried chicken set, steak set, all were seasoned well and perfectly cooked. All came with soup, rice, main entree and dessert. The staff were welcoming, kind and caring, friendly. The manager even sent me a special note about a piece of art I was curious about. Highly, highly recommend this Ryokan. I never wanted to leave. It's just outside of Atami, in the hills, beautiful location. Go, relax, nurture yourself, I did 😊🥰

Highly recommended for those driving – it's really inconvenient without a car! As expected from the Hyatt brand, the service and facilities are top-notch. I assume most guests are F1 fans! The racing museum and simulators inside the hotel are a must-visit for any fan. The weather wasn't great during my stay, so I couldn't go for a spin on the Fuji Speedway. I strongly suggest checking in early, as there's so much to do at the hotel, and many activities require reservations! For dining, since there are no other restaurants nearby, you'll have to eat at the hotel. I recommend the cafe with a track view – it offers great value for money!

The room was actually quite spacious, bright, and comfortable, with clean beds and a fantastic full ocean view. However, the facilities were a bit dated. Also, probably due to staff shortages, the hotel offered guests staying multiple nights a 2000 JPY credit per night if they opted out of housekeeping, which could be used at the hotel's outlets. The hotel's location was a bit tricky to find. Arriving at night, the navigation led us through small alleyways and stone steps. Carrying luggage up those steps was quite a struggle 😰, and after descending the stone steps, we still had to climb a slope… 😂. I'd recommend taking a taxi if you're arriving late! Overall, this hotel was very comfortable, and it was a pleasant end to our in-depth trip.

The structure seems to be a legacy of the bubble era. The luxurious layout allows you to move between the main building and each building via pedestrians. It's reminiscent of the 5-star hotels of Phuket and Bali of the past. The all-inclusive plan also feels like good value. Unfortunately, however, maintenance of the interior and exterior has not kept up, and various parts are badly deteriorated. The bathhouse is also made of good granite, so it should be polished properly. The exterior walls are so black that you want to use a Karcher cleaner. I wish it was a little cleaner.

Excellent Stay at Hotel Mars Garden Wood Gotemba We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mars Garden Wood Gotemba. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed and offered a relaxing outdoor onsen after a long day of sightseeing. The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and shopping areas. The hotel facilities, including the onsen, were excellent and provided a perfect way to unwind. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in Japan. We highly recommend Hotel Mars Garden Wood Gotemba and would definitely stay here again on our next visit. Note to forget, view of Mount Fuji from the hotel made our stay even more memorable.

This is a great hotel, located between the station and the fishing port. It's a bit of a walk to either, but definitely manageable. The rooms are quite spacious, and the staff are very friendly. I went during the New Year's holiday, and they even had free sweet sake in the lobby! LOL

The room was very spacious, perfect for two adults and two children. We had dinner at the hotel, the ”Seasonal Kaiseki Cuisine,” which was quite good. Breakfast was excellent, with a rich variety of exquisite dishes. The hotel's attention to detail was impressive; you could tell they put a lot of thought into everything. It truly lives up to its reputation as one of the top 100 most scenic hotels in the world. Unfortunately, it rained heavily in Izu during our two-day stay, so our plans changed and we didn't get to fully experience the beauty of Izu.

It was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there. Big thanks to all the staff who created such atmosphere

Free unlimited alcohol at bar after 6 pm is totally beyond expectation. Room is quite big, with large size bathtub and separated toilet. Very quiet from my experience. The room I stayed does not have a window, not sure if it’s the common case. But I’m ok with that. The location should be considered as the major concern. It’s right beside the interchange of highway, so can be ideal for self-driving trips. However, for travelers by public transportation, you’ll have to use the local bus service, it can take quite a while to figure out how.(For anyone who may read this comment: if you depart from Shizuoka JR station, look for bus No.71 or No.27, and get off at Shizuoka IC stop , which is the closest stop from hotel) Generally I do enjoy the stay, and the nearby region has a lot of restaurants as well as convenient stores, will consider to come back if drive by next time.

The hotel is super close to the train station, just a 5-minute walk after getting off. The environment is really nice, and the room is spacious. We mainly came to see the Bandai Museum. Plus, Suruga-ya's headquarters is right next door, so there are plenty of anime merchandise options if you're looking for them.
