GGuest UserThe parking lot is large and there is no charge for parking. Breakfast is formal Western style, with a wide variety and a lot of money. The surrounding area of the hotel is very lively and shopping is very convenient. And the hotel has convenient transportation. Next time you go to Lansing, you must still live here.

SSamitraThe room and hotel was great. I don’t like that you do have to pay.$20 per day for parking or you will need to use the city parking but you can’t park over night as city parking expires at midnight. The location has no pool but has a nice roof top. Drinks were pretty reasonable. Over all it was nice.

GGuest UserI spent one night at the Hollywood ****** at Greektown. I did not visit the ******. I was looking for a nice place to stay for the night. The hotel grounds were 4-stars. I arrived around 7 PM. It took some time to check in because I had to wait for a number of others who qualified for the VIP check-in line. I stayed in a basic, twin queen room. The room and bathroom were nice and modern. Shortly after getting into my room, bright exterior lights turned on - shining in the direction of my room. I couldn't see what they were illuminating, but if I had to guess, it was perhaps the hotel name written on the exterior. Those lights stayed on all night. The drapes didn't completely cover the windows, so my room was illuminated all night. The room stayed one temperature despite what the thermostat was set to. There was an intermittent hum coming from the in-wall heater as if it was revving up. I ultimately slept with earplugs. I am have been able to overlook the illuminated room, dysfunctional thermostat, and intermittent hum if I was there for other reasons than to sleep, like to visit the ******, or go out.

GGuest UserThe location is terrific ! Right on the water. We booked a king room, it was so tiny there was not even a place to put the luggage, and the cigarette smoke residue and chemicals used to cover it up were overwhelming ! The front desk kindly gave us an upgrade to a penthouse suite at no additional charge. The suite worked out well. The hotel is older and vintage, the rooms reflect that but are in desperate need of a facelift,,,seam split wall paper, dingy corners, cheap carpet and very chintzy cabinetry circa 90s builder grade oak that is worn, scratched and mismatched to the old fashioned cherry dressers. The suite had an apartment sized refrigerator, microwave and kitchenette sink, all mismatched, white fridge, black microwave, stainless sink. Not a bit of kitchen gear supplied,,,no sponge, no towel, not even a paper towel. The TVs were tiny as well ! The bar however was lovely, excellent cocktails and nibbles. The grounds and harbor view were grand, easy and ample parking and the staff attentive. Its a good hotel,,,just really worn out !!

AAnonymous UserI didn't use the shuttle because it was only about a 5-minute ride for $13 by Uber. The female staff were very friendly. Although the building is old, it was well-maintained and clean; there were no bugs at all, and the room had a refrigerator and a microwave. The air conditioning and ventilation worked well, and the vending machines in the hallway sold drinks and water for $1.50, which was very cheap. Cold water is also sold at the front desk. Almost everything I needed was there. The shower pressure wasn't weak, but everything was fine except for the toilet pressure being so low that I had to flush twice. The area around the building was brightly lit with streetlights all night, and there were 24-hour facilities nearby, such as McDonald's, so the area felt safe. I am satisfied.

GGuest UserThe room and environment are very good. If there are vacancies, you can check in early. We checked in at noon, put our luggage and left. Before going to bed at night, I found many small hairs on the bed. No waiter could handle such things after 10 o'clock.

XXuefing YangThe individual cabins were nice. The rooms were a little smaller than most hotels I've stayed in. A/C unit could've been a little cooler but luckily it wasn't scorching hot. There was no continental breakfast but there was coffee close by the receptionist and there were coupons for you to use at the local restaurants within walking distance. There was an Indoor Waterpark shared with other hotels in the area and it was good for the kids. The service overall was great! No complaints there. IF there was anything that I could complain about, it would be the WiFi. It wasn't great but it was good.... good enough to use but there were moments when the WiFi just lagged and kept on lagging. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I wouldn't mind staying here again but I wouldn't also mind staying somewhere else too as there were multiple hotels in the surrounding area.

KKenzieLee5This was our second time staying at Breakers. We had no major complaints about our stay although the TV remote would not let us enter in the numbers listed on the guide. You had to arrow through them each one by one manually. I feel for the price that the rooms could definitely use some love. There were floor tile pieces that were lose and wobbly so when you walked on them they moved. Also, the lower section of wood on the center nightstand between the two beds was falling off and crooked with the particle board showing. Both the front desk women we spoke to in the main hotel lobby by the pool were friendly and helpful with the shuttle bus info. We always enjoy the variety of breakfast options and the views of the lake from our room and the club when eating. We also love the pool and hot tub but the hot tub does show need of some tile repair.

KKenzieLee5The front desk gentleman were friendly and talkative. They gave me all the information I needed and even asked me what floor I would prefer to be on as well as letting me know the restaurant across the parking lot gave 10% off when showing your key card. The cleaning lady left us a nice hand written note in our room which is always sweet. The pool area was big, clean, and the hot tub was hot and the jets worked perfectly as well as the pool being heated was a bonus. We loved the mural paintings on the wall. The breakfast women helped with things in the breakfast area I was having trouble with and was also friendly every morning. It was a great place for us to stay with kids and I would come back for sure although I do wish the beds were just alittle more comfortable. Just alittle too firm in the opinion but no trouble falling asleep.
