Beach Hotels in Hainan, China

Arrived quite late, but staff were there to guide me from the car and help with luggage. KK at the front desk processed my check-in quickly and smoothly. I had plans for the next day, so KK kindly arranged a quieter room for me, which I really appreciated. 🙏🏻 The room was refreshingly cool upon entering, as the air conditioning had already been turned on. The bedding was also very comfortable, leading to a pleasant night's sleep. The hotel features many traditional Chinese paintings of flowers and birds, and upon closer inspection, each one is unique – clearly a lot of effort went into them. Since I arrived late, I didn't book breakfast, but I heard it's served until 12 PM, so I'll definitely try it next time. Overall, it's highly recommended.

I've stayed at four Hilton hotels across Hainan, and this one definitely feels a bit old. Seriously, two or three outlets in our room (3517) were broken!?! And while the public areas are by the sea, they're not particularly beautiful and lack that relaxed, resort-like vibe. The pool isn't great either, and only one was open, so I didn't even bother using it. Breakfast was especially bad – they must be cutting corners too much! My husband even pointed out that their Hainan specialty 'Zaopo Vinegar' didn't even have any seafood in it! Also, I have to speak up for the little animals. Those few squirrels are quite pitiful; their activity space is too small. It feels a bit like animal cruelty. They should be released; it would be a truly meritorious act!

This hotel is very beautiful. I had a pleasant stay . Hotel staff was very kind. Momo was amazing. She’s super kind, the amenities they look exactly as the pictures, the beach is so beautiful. Upon arrival, we were well taken care of. They upgraded my room to an Oceanview room and we were given welcome fruit. The park is very beautiful too. It’s so peaceful. It’s further from the city center but the food at the restaurant is very good and the prices aren’t bad It’s affordable. My son had a great time at the swimming pool. I had a lovely time and I recommend anyone who’s looking for a place to just regroup and be away from the busy city life to book here. This hotel gives soft life feel and it is luxurious it is just amazing. I will definitely come back!!🥰🥰🫶🏽🫶🏽✨

Booked the InterContinental Haikou for a weekend getaway. Received a call the day before from the hotel, inquiring about any specific room preferences, which was a nice touch. Upon arrival, our room wasn't quite ready for check-in, but Jenny from the front desk messaged me on WeChat as soon as it was, which was very considerate. The room offered beautiful views of both the sunset and the city lights at night, and sitting on the balcony in the evening, enjoying the sea breeze, was incredibly relaxing. 😌

For this year's birthday trip, I chose Atlantis Sanya. The moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt a warm sense of belonging. After checking in at the front desk, the staff thoughtfully introduced all the hotel facilities to me and even meticulously delivered my luggage all the way to my room. Their attention to detail was exceptional. What was even more delightful was that the hotel specially arranged for a butler, Ariel, to look after me throughout my stay. Not only did she bring exquisite fruit, but she also quietly planned a little birthday surprise for me. Throughout the entire trip, whether it was itinerary suggestions or small everyday matters, Ariel was incredibly patient. I sincerely thank her for her company and dedication ❤️ This place is simply a 'resort kingdom': it has every facility imaginable – a water park, aquarium, gym, SPA... you'll never get bored. There are so many restaurants that choosing one is difficult, from seafood buffets to authentic Hainanese cuisine, all kinds of delicious food satisfy your taste buds at once. You don't even need to leave the hotel to fill your day with activities. What I found most captivating were the adorable marine creatures – getting up close, interacting with them, and even 'greeting' them. This therapeutic experience was truly unforgettable 🌊 I've already enthusiastically recommended this hotel to my family and friends, and they're planning to come and experience it themselves this summer~ Atlantis Sanya, I will definitely be back for another vacation! 🐠✨

An unexpectedly stunning seaview B&B! 😎 The service was excellent, very accommodating and helpful. They offered water upon arrival, and the room's AC was already on, making it wonderfully cool. Cleanliness-wise, it seemed quite clean, no major issues. The environment was incredibly serene and therapeutic. The balcony offered an unobstructed sea view; you could open the doors completely and gaze directly at the ocean. Even from bed, you could enjoy the sea view, despite the hot and sunny weather. The B&B has a beautiful common swimming pool that guests can use. The open-plan lobby on the first floor is super photogenic and a great spot to relax and watch the sea. There's a laundry room on the top floor with two washing machines (no dryer), but laundry detergent is provided. There are also facilities for hanging clothes, and given the hot summer sun, clothes hung at night were dry by the next morning. A slight inconvenience is that the seaside town where the B&B is located is not accessible by car. If you're driving, you'll need to park in a designated parking lot (40 per day max), walk a few minutes to the tourist shuttle pick-up point, and then take the shuttle to the hotel. This was the only somewhat troublesome part. I booked the Azure Open Terrace Seaview King Room on the fifth floor, which has an elevator. The room's AC was powerful and kept it very cool, and the shower water pressure was decent. The Laifen hairdryer was a great touch. Check-in is at 2 PM and check-out at 12 PM. Since it wasn't a holiday, there weren't many people. During the off-season, it was only around 500-600, which is excellent value for money.

We had a beautiful view of the sea from our cave-like room but the cleanliness left much to be desired. We often saw bugs in the toilet 🚽 so that freaked me out a little. The towels also seemed very old and used, so bring your own if possible. The service was great though, simply connect with them via WeChat and they will check in and share more info with you during your stay. There was complimentary afternoon tea daily, which is basically a drink and four tiramisu cake cubes. The drink is alright, but the cakes you can skip. The room package includes a photoshoot too. While they offer 3 complimentary soft copies of the photos taken by a photographer, note that they are unedited. After seeing the edited version, it usually makes you want to pay more for the edited version. Lastly, the hotel location requires a short walk through white dragon street after alighting by car, so bear that in mind for accessibility. It’s great for walking around, exploring the town and access to the beach.

Stepping into the room, the huge floor-to-ceiling windows framed the 'private beach' perfectly, like a painting! In the evening, sitting by the window watching the sea, enjoying a cozy moment by the bathtub, with coconut trees, white tents, and beach umbrellas outside. The sound of waves mixed with the evening breeze felt like stepping into a holiday scene from a movie. The old pottery jar was brimming with pink flowers, and tall palm trees provided ample shade. Posing for photos with the sea as a backdrop, my straw hat and green backpack instantly created that 'island vibe' in every shot. The beach was equally stunning: crystal-clear water, soft golden sand, and small fishing boats gently beached. In the distance, a few fishing figures dotted the horizon. Walking barefoot on the sand, watching the clouds drift by, all my worries were swept away by the sea breeze. From the meticulous landscape design and the romantic sea views from the room, to the relaxed beach terrace, this guesthouse truly embodied the 'island dream' in every single detail. Staying here, I finally understood what it means to 'live life poetically and give your holiday back to the sea.' Coming here during my pregnancy, with convenient pick-up and drop-off, was incredibly helpful!

Revisiting Sanya, this hotel once again delivered an outstanding experience. It's just a short walk to the beach, making seaside outings incredibly convenient and stress-free. Compared to my first stay, the rooms have been beautifully renovated and upgraded; the new mattress was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the overall cleanliness of the room was significantly improved. The front desk service was warm and attentive, even offering complimentary drinks upon check-in. The decor is sophisticated and appealing, offering incredible value for money. I had a comfortable and relaxing stay, and it will definitely be my top choice for accommodation next time I'm in Sanya.
