We have an amazing & wonderful stay at Studio City Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and every team member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and eager to help. It really set the tone for the entire stay.
The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities we could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the attention to detail—from the fresh linens to the well-stocked bathroom—was impressive.
What stood out the most was the level of care and hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, always ready with a smile and thoughtful recommendations.
Overall, this hotel delivers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and top-notch service. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
The walls are thin. You can hear the snore of the guests behind the walls and in the corridor. On the third day of my stay, a family with kids checked in to the connecting next door. The kids kept turning and turning and turning the connecting door knob violently for a few minutes and the parents didn’t stop them.
Terrible service of the waitress at the restaurant. Poor communication skill and offensive manner. When I asked for the bill and placed my credit card on my dining table — and I didn’t say anything else — her first response was “No discount!” I didn’t ask for any discount. She asked me “Are you our hotel guest?” I showed her my check out luggage storage tag and said “I am. But I just checked out.” She responded grumpily, “No discount gah! You don’t have the room card!”
I wouldn’t book with this resort anymore. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to people who are looking for a quiet stay.
The environment is beautiful. You can watch the sunset from your room or at Cheoc Van Beach, which is right next to the hotel, in the evening. In the morning, you can walk about 30 minutes to Long Chao Kok Coastal Trail near Hac Sa Beach to watch the sunrise from the Seaview Pavilion.
The complimentary breakfast offers a variety of Chinese and Western dishes. Every food item maintains excellent quality, and the dining area has a charming view.
The hotel is older, and the facilities are a bit dated, but they are well-maintained and perfectly functional for daily use. Plus, there was absolutely no smoke smell in the room, which is a big plus. :)
Overall, while the facilities might be a slight drawback, the environment and food more than make up for it. Because of this, I'm giving a perfect score for facilities.
This is my third trip to Macau, but my first time bringing my child, so I looked for a family-friendly hotel and chose the Conrad. I did some research online and saw tips about emailing the hotel in advance for customized teddy bears. I emailed about a week beforehand, mainly just asking for a room with a relatively good view since I had already booked a 'Eiffel Tower View' room. I'd seen photos where some rooms had a straight-on view of the tower, while others were a bit angled, so I asked for a straighter view. I was told all views are somewhat angled and none are directly front-facing, which I accepted. The hotel then replied asking for my child's name, which made me think they were customizing the bear. I provided the name, but upon check-in, there was no personalized bear. So I'm not sure what the point of asking for the name was. The bathroom had one clear rubber duck, and since I booked two nights, I specifically asked the front desk if we could get another one, but they didn't provide it (I've seen people online show off two ducks, and even limited edition ones for holidays, so I wasn't being unreasonable).
The room itself was spacious and well-maintained. The toiletries were up to standard. The front desk staff during check-in were very friendly. I especially want to commend the welcoming staff in red uniforms by the elevators. Both of them had excellent attitudes. Every time we entered or exited the elevator, they'd greet our child. I later found out he's quite popular online, with many people praising his friendly demeanor.
I might choose the Conrad again on my next visit to Macau, but I hope they'll be a bit more generous next time!
My check-in experience was terrible this time. I was only staying for one day and didn't have a suitcase, just a backpack and a bag. I went up to the 6th floor to the front desk. There were two counters, both with people checking in. I queued behind a couple. Four people who came up in the same elevator as me queued at the other counter. After a while, a guy stood behind me. Someone came over and talked to him, probably telling him to join the queue, and then he left. I was still standing behind the couple, and no one asked if I needed to check in.
The queue grew longer and longer. I guess the couple finished, and the front desk staff asked others. It was only then that someone came over to ask if I was with the couple. I said no, and he told me I needed to queue for check-in and led me to the back of the line.
The more I thought about it, the more I realized how unfair it was. I went to the person who led me to the end of the line and said, 'I've been here for a long time, why do I have to queue here?'
He said, 'We have one queue, and we process check-ins in order.'
I replied, 'I came up in the same elevator as those four people. I was standing at the front desk even earlier than them, why am I at the end of the queue now?'
While I was talking to him, I saw that the four people who came up with me in the same elevator were almost done checking in.
I asked the staff member, 'Why do I have to re-queue? We came up in the same elevator, and not one staff member asked if I was here to check in.'
Finally, he took me to the service counter next to the elevator to check in. But while I was checking in, I noticed that the guy who was behind me in the queue earlier had already finished and was waiting for the elevator.
I originally booked this hotel because everyone said the service was good, but this experience was very disappointing. It was hot that day, and I was carrying thick clothes. I was already very tired by the time I got to the hotel.
Later, I noticed that there were female and male staff guiding guests at the front desk, but I didn't see any when I arrived, and no one asked me anything. Do backpackers not need guidance and service?
If it weren't for this check-in incident, I would have thought the hotel service was excellent. From the initial phone communication and online service, to the smiling staff greeting you as you enter the lobby, and the attentive service in the room. But the first impression is very important. I even messaged on WeChat beforehand to say what time I would arrive and that I only had a backpack, no suitcase. They did indeed hold a room for me, but the queuing for check-in really ruined my mood that day.
I had seen reviews saying the hotel breakfast was quite good, and I wanted to try it, but I forgot to ask where breakfast was served or how to use the meal vouchers included with my room. I also didn't get to experience the bar. Anyway, I don't want to talk about it anymore.
Ying Kee Pastry souvenirs: Very tasty.
Complimentary minibar (including alcoholic beverages): Quite a variety.
100 MOP dining credit: No mood to use it.
Our stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Macau was truly exceptional. The grand, beautifully decorated lobby immediately sets a luxurious tone. Our room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities such as international plug outlets and a large, elegant bathroom (with excellent water pressure and soothing bath salts). The bed linens and pillows were wonderfully soft and comfortable, and the view from our executive-floor room on the 28th floor was breathtaking — a full panorama of the Grand Resort Deck and its lively waterpark, which we thoroughly enjoyed with the kids. The hotel also has a fantastic kids’ room that our children absolutely loved, adding even more joy to our family stay. With direct access to The Promenade mall and its great range of restaurants, plus a wide and delicious breakfast selection, everything felt convenient and indulgent. Service was impeccable throughout, and special thanks go to Manuel, who kindly showed us around at check-in and arranged our transport upon departure. A truly memorable stay in every way.
Upon checking in, the lady staff member warmly spent half an hour showing us to our room and introducing us to everything Macau has to offer, from dining and entertainment to shopping. In the evening, there was turn-down service, and they neatly arranged all my belongings. I honestly couldn't believe it when I saw my tech bag – every single cable was coiled up and organized, and they even provided a mouse pad for my mouse! Housekeeping really went above and beyond! 👍 The bed was incredibly comfortable, and every staff member I encountered throughout the entire Galaxy complex, from the shopping mall to the hotel, was incredibly nice and friendly. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Macau!
From the moment I checked in, I experienced thoughtful and attentive service. A special shout-out to Val for the warm welcome; they helped me with my luggage to the room and gave a detailed introduction to all the room's amenities. The room itself was clean and tidy. It was a truly memorable stay.
This is my first time stay in this hotel. Room conditions is good but the pool inside the room is a bit waste because it seems no use except a family stay in with kids.
Water, welcome fruit, mini bar really good enough. lighting, room set up is at high level. sauna room is a bit disappointed because no rest room, no wet towel, no 1 time use underwear, the only good is the opening time is at 08:00 - 22:00 which is better than other hotel. the best is the service, front desk and the floor manager very concern the tenant's comments and the reflect action is quick. Definitely will stay again to try their SPA.
