The best things about this room are
- fantastic expansive view of the surrounding.
- swing chair overlooking outside.
- Japan style concept living room and 1 of the bedrooms.
- easy to collect key.
- have food shops nearby.
- aircons good.
- amenities provided.
What I don’t like
- toilet shower very cramp area
- ants in living room and dining area
- the Japan concept bedroom is right above aircon compressor so not good for light sleepers as it will run a loud humming sound every few minutes.

Very pleasant stay at the hotel! Had an add on of the breakfast at promotional price of 78 ringgit per pax and the buffet spread was awesome! The staff are courteous and welcoming, feel very warm each time we bump into them. There’s a pillow menu for you to choose & welcome cookies upon check in (very delicious)! The massage shop in the hotel called Swan Reflex was good and price is comparable with shops outside (had an additional discount for hotel guests). Hotel is about 10mins walk away from CIQ, abit difficult to walk now with the ongoing construction at the surrounding.

Location near to ferry terminal,easy access to and from terminal to hotel because both in same building but different level. Ferry terminal at level two. Hotel lobby at level one.
Service ok. Breakfast ok many choices
But negative points, within and surrounding hotel there are clubs, noisy at night that disturb peace especially if your room is at lower level. Here the clubs n shop in building serve n sell liquor too...saw drunk lady outside hotel at night. Feel uncomfortable.
Car park n hotel use different lift so has to ask security guard how to get to hotel lobby after parking at multilevel car park. Quite complicated so need to ask specific directions to hotel lobby from car park .
Hotel building not new, but clean, room quite spacious, superb view from room at level 15 overlooking the sea.

I didn’t managed to take much photos however the stay was not too great. The location is near the highway and it’s pretty noisy in the middle of the night. We didn’t really had a good sleep. The toilet door handle was faulty. The hair shampoo and body soap made our skin itchy, it felt like hand soap. There wasn’t any local channels to watch, only from streaming platforms. The bed was sunk in and the pillows were too soft. The bedsheets also had some old stains.
The customer service was very responsive and helpful so that’s okay. I wouldn’t really recommend staying in this room. Maybe higher floors are better.

First time staying at this hotel. Away from the busyness of the town area. It's a quiet town and nothing much can be done except for those that having plans to Legoland. They have a mini Medini Mall. Full with eateries and a supermarket.
Smooth check in and grateful to be given a late check out. A little bit rub down cause it's residence but for a night stay, no complains. Rooms comes with kitchen, microwave, big fridge and utensils.
Will definetly come again for a short stay.

Enjoyed a lovely one-night stay at Tunamaya Hotel Desaru 🌊✨ The room was spacious and comfortable with an amazing ocean view — definitely a big plus that all rooms face the sea! Although some parts of the room looked a little worn off, the overall stay was still very relaxing and pleasant.
The swimming pool was huge and perfect for chilling with family or friends. Breakfast was another highlight — lots of food choices and everything tasted really good 😋
Best part? The hotel has direct beach access, so it was super easy to enjoy the peaceful beach and catch a beautiful sunrise in the morning 🌅

An old but gold hotel right in front of the beach, perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with a great view. While the property may be a little dated, it’s well-maintained and has all the essential amenities you need for a comfortable stay.
The highlight for me was definitely the breakfast spread, it was excellent! There was a good variety including nasi lemak, noodles, porridge, and bread/toast, which made every morning enjoyable.
What truly stood out was the service. The reception and restaurant staff were warm, friendly, and always helpful, making the overall experience even more pleasant.
Overall, a charming stay with great hospitality and a fantastic beachfront location. Would definitely come back! 🌊

We will definitely come back again. The check-in process was very smooth, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We booked Studio and before we check-in we found Studio room have to share living & kitchen area with other.
During check-in we requested upgrading to Suite instead but Suites are all sold out but staff kind enough blocked the other Studio room for us. Really appreciate it.
The swimming pool there not clean and have a lots of leaf in the pool and the seating bench at the poolside also broken.
But the sunset at the beach there really amazing. That was the only things which enlighten our stay.

SSuzi SohThe room suite is spacious and clean. Private beach with water sports available. Facilities like swimming pool, water park, aviary, mini games arcade, mini zoo. Lots of activities at night. Children had a fun time blowing bubbles, playing arcade games, dancing etc....
There’s a wide variety of food choices available during buffet breakfast, and you can choose from three different restaurants to dine in for lunch and dinner(Seafood, steamboat, Korean, Indian). Convenience stores & gift shops available in the hotel. Helpful staffs.

GGuest UserEven though it was almost fully booked over the weekend, the hotel offered a quiet getaway, as its premises is huge with a variety of amenities. Nature inspired decorations don the common areas. The room is spacious and clean, with a sizable balcony that overlooks the outdoor playground and the sea in the background. The local cuisine at the restaurant is tasty. Over the weekend, food carts were set up at the hotel lobby, selling local and western fares, providing alternative food options. The food that we tasted, pizza, satay and char koay teow, surpassed our expectations. The hotel may be short-handed at times so expect longer waiting time but the service staff tried their best to deliver their service, which is commendable.

FFichFirst i want to review on booking experience. I was so pissed off with Trip.com booking. I entered 3 adults upon search & result showed an option of 3 occupancy room with full-board package for 2 adult. There is option for full-board 3 adults however since the first option was cheaper i was thinking to arrange my own for the additional 1 adult boat transfer & not require the meal package. It was shocking that when i reached the check in office it is mandatory to pay for the 3rd adult boat n meal package to the resort. My question here WHY trip.com put the option for 2 adult knowing the resort does not allow the 3rd person to check in??? This is a scammm for me because i entered 3 adults requirement at the first place for the booking. Both resort & trip.com are not synchronise with the information.
Now going to resort stay experience: The resort staff were all great & the service was also on point. However, the condition of the resort was so below my expectation. I paid RM 700+ per night & i don’t feel worth it. Everything was super outdated & worn off. Especially the bathroom. The floors were cracked open & was swarming with bugs & insects & some people might get allergic to them. The bedroom is self was okay & comfy. Also food-wise, they served a lot of seafood & didn’t ask if anyone was allergic or not which one of us is. For RM 700 per night i expected it is included some activities we could do at the resort however it was disappointing that everything was chargeable whereas they are non-motorised & doesn’t even use resource / maintenance such as kayak & snorkel gear. The only nice thing at the resort was staff friendliness & the food taste.
