Great location right in the center of the tourist area, with plenty of cafés and restaurants around, which makes it very convenient. The hotel also has a small swimming pool and direct access to the beach, which was really nice.
Just keep in mind that there is a 100 RM deposit required at check-in.

The hotel itself is well located and has a certain charm. The furniture is quite old, but in a way it adds character to the place. The staff we interacted with were generally kind and polite.
However, we had a very upsetting experience with the Ramadan buffet restaurant.
We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 PM after a long day of travel with two flights (Phuket to Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi). My mother had been fasting all day for Ramadan and had not eaten or drunk anything.
When we saw that the restaurant was preparing the Ramadan buffet, my mother sat down hoping to break her fast there. Unfortunately we were refused and told that reservations had to be made one day in advance.
This was very surprising for us, as we had just arrived in the country and could not possibly have reserved the day before.
We were directed to another nearby restaurant, but after waiting more than one hour we still had not received any food. During that time my mother — who had been fasting all day — still had nothing to eat, and my two-year-old child was crying because he was hungry.
In the end, my mother was only able to eat about two hours after the time of breaking the fast.
Aside from this very difficult experience, the hotel itself is pleasant and the staff are friendly. However, I hope the management will consider being more flexible and understanding in situations like this, especially for guests observing Ramadan and families traveling with young children.

This hotel is super convenient if you want to stay and play at Cenang Beach, as it's really close – you just step right out to it. The room is quite spacious, a bit old, but the great price makes up for it. It's a pretty good hotel for Langkawi.

I brought my whole family to this hotel for a New Year's vacation. The public courtyard has plenty of space for activities, which was great. There are lots of outdoor seating areas and hammocks, and the hot and cold water dispenser was very convenient. The hotel staff were excellent, very patient and polite. The downsides were that there were many ants in the room, the triple room was dark and damp with poor ventilation, and the location is a bit out of the way.

This is an amazing hotel for its price range! We had a 2-bedroom bungalow with a private pool, though we ended up using the main pool instead. The beds were comfortable, and the pillows were good.
It's a quiet place; you can't hear any road noise.
The beach is a 5-7 minute walk away.
There are many cafes nearby; we really liked Pirate Cafe and went there several times. There are also shops. However, we couldn't find a currency exchange and had to go to Cenang for that.
Breakfast was a bit sparse (though typical for a 3-star), but you won't leave hungry.
The staff were friendly and tried their best to help with everything.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys boutique hotels or guesthouses.

The room was average, but the hotel's overall environment was fantastic. The slide pool kept the kids entertained all day, and we also got to enjoy beautiful sunsets over the sea. A 7-Eleven is just a minute's walk away, and there's a big park nearby too. Definitely a recommended hotel!
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The air con worked well but the WiFi was very unstable which made it very difficult to get anything done online, we had to go to nearby cafes if we wanted to book flights etc. The room and bathroom could have been cleaner and housekeeping could have come more frequently to change toilet roll and give us new towels. We could have done with more hooks in the bathroom and more hangers in the wardrobe. There's a fridge, kettle, hairdryer and iron/ ironing board. The apartments are nicely laid out around the pool with plenty of sun loungers and parasols. There is a book swap in reception which I made use of. The location is great as it's not too busy but there are restaurants nearby and it's very close to the airport, langkawi sky cab and Pantai Cenang where there is loads going on. There isn't really a beach nearby where you can swim, you need to get a taxi to Pantai Kok or Cenang.

The hotel is pretty cool and definitely worth the price. However, it really needs some maintenance. The shower head is about to fall off, and there's dust and cobwebs in the corners. The AC is quiet and works fine. My room was on the second floor. The staircase was a bit scary, and a floorboard on the landing was almost broken. In the room, there was some kind of platform built around the bed, which I constantly stubbed my toe on. There was a similar platform around the toilet, causing the same issue. This place is really only for the most undemanding traveler who just needs a place to sleep. No fridge, no hairdryer, no kettle, and no mugs. They gave me towels in a cute little bag when I checked in, which was a nice touch. You can rent a scooter, it's not expensive, but the scooters are basic, not very powerful, and there's no phone holder. Their T Star shop is nearby, and I think they have a bigger selection of scooters there.

I admit this hotel is a bit old, so it's not as modern as newly built ones. But when you're in Langkawi, an island style just isn't going to be super modern. However, the hotel's environment and service are excellent. The restaurant and pool are right next to the beach, so having breakfast every day with a sea view is just amazing. The frangipani flowers, which are the hotel's namesake, are everywhere inside the hotel, along with many other beautiful plants and a variety of birds singing. I highly recommend staying here!
The hotel is beautiful, calm, and clean...perfect for total relaxation.
Friendly staff, stunning pool, and peaceful vibe.
The location is a bit inconvenient: it's up on a hill, so you need a car every time you arrive or leave.
No fridge in the room, noticeable lack of privacy (the layout surrounds the central pool like a theater/amphitheater, with rooms openly overlooking the pool area from all sides), and due to the shape, parts of the hotel are shaded by the surrounding buildings for half the day, limiting sun exposure.
Perfect if you want to disconnect and unwind; not great for frequent beach trips, full privacy, or all-day sunshine.
I loved my days here. Pure relax.

YYuanhuaruixiangRebak Island Resort & Marina, the sole hotel on Langkawi's Rebak Island, offered me an unforgettable vacation. If you're seeking a truly secluded sanctuary to connect with nature and escape the hustle and bustle, I wholeheartedly recommend this place!
The island's environment is simply breathtaking! Surrounded by refreshing scenery, there are plenty of trails to explore on foot. What surprised me most was the excellent ecological preservation here. The hotel even offers a guided one-hour nature walk every Sunday at 8:30 AM. Through this, I learned about many unique Malaysian flora and fauna – it was a truly valuable learning experience!
Beyond hiking, we could also cycle. The bay where the hotel is situated is also a significant stop for global sailing, adding a special maritime flair to the entire resort.
What truly warmed my heart during this trip was the hotel's service. The staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, and I sincerely thank them for that! Our package included dinner, and breakfast was a standard buffet with a wide variety of choices. The dinner menu also offered excellent selection, and both the taste and service left us very satisfied.
Even better, despite being on a private island, transportation to and from the mainland was absolutely no issue. There are several complimentary shuttle boat services daily, making it very convenient.
Of course, even in a perfect experience, there were some things to get used to.
1. **Soundproofing in wooden villas:** The hotel rooms are older-style wooden villas, usually two stories. If you stay on the ground floor, you will indeed hear the footsteps of guests upstairs quite clearly.
2. **Monkey neighbors:** Because the island's ecosystem is so thriving, we had quite a few monkey neighbors! Everyone needs to be extra careful and remember not to leave your room door open, otherwise, they might come in and ”steal” your food.
**Summary:**
Putting aside the soundproofing of the older villas and the ”mischief” of the little monkeys, Rebak Island Resort & Marina earned my highest praise for its unparalleled natural environment, rich ecological activities, and thoughtful, attentive service. It was a soulful journey back to nature!
GGuest UserThis family-friendly hotel is absolutely fantastic! Paired with the beautiful Langkawi weather, it made for the best part of our trip. We stayed for two nights during the Chinese New Year holiday with my whole family, including seniors and kids, in a family suite which was a standalone wooden chalet. The hotel environment is excellent, nestled between mountains and water, and it's also right next to the SkyCab, so you could easily spend two days just exploring the area. We also booked an island hopping tour through the hotel, which was convenient, good value, and a great experience. We'll definitely come back next time we have a chance. A special mention to Sofie at the front desk – she was incredibly nice and gentle, providing an excellent check-in and check-out experience for guests. The hotel's Thai restaurant is great, followed by the Malaysian restaurant. We didn't go to the Chinese restaurant; I just glanced at the menu and decided against it. It felt like over 80% of the guests here were Caucasians, and the overall atmosphere, including at check-in and on the beach, was very peaceful.
GGuest UserThis hotel was our best stay in Langkawi, It gave us a little 'White Lotus' vibe. If you like lots of greenary, this hotel is for you. View is amazing. Food was good. Only the minus point was it is a little far away from the main center. sometimes difficult to get a cab after 8, if you want to go to Pantai Chenang. Airport and sky bridge was quite near and also some of the nice beaches of Langkawi. For food, there is an authentic Indian restaurant 'Delhi Darbar' at a walking distance. There is also a cafe nearby. I definetely recommend this place.
SSharifah ZThe hotel and the surrounding is ok. Close and have access to beach. Unfortunately, room is quite small, and the tv has very poor signal. When i complained, the counter said, the issue was not faced by me, it was a common issue with all rooms, and the hotel is in the process to rectify it. I am.sure the issue is not new. How could they just close one eye. The breakfast is just ok, nothing extra. I had asked for late checkout (by 1 pm) and the hotel.said ok the night before. But around 11.45 am and 1230 pm, i received 2 separate calls asking me to check out. When i told them i was granted checkout until 1pm..they said thwy were not aware. Therw was no note. So the hotel has a lot to imrove.
The tv is not a smart tv also. So nothing u cam do. With no.channel, the only option was to turn it ofc

NNiliudashuThis hotel was just a place to crash; we were out all day anyway, so we didn't expect much. The location is excellent, right in town. Across the street, there's a duty-free chocolate shop, and plenty of food options within a few blocks. It's also beachfront, so you can catch the sunrise. We booked a suite, which was spacious, but the facilities were quite outdated. The hot water was intermittent, and it seemed like there was no hot water at all late at night! I left my swim trunks in the room and called customer service to ask about them. I figured if they found them, I'd just take a taxi back from Berjaya to pick them up. The first time I called, a man answered and said he'd look for them. When I called again, a woman answered. I'm not sure if she didn't understand English or what, but she just mumbled and rambled for a while before abruptly hanging up on me. Since I was short on time, I just gave up and bought new ones.
The breakfast was mediocre, with limited choices. Just enough to grab a bite.
The gym is tiny and the equipment is old, but nobody supervises it, and hardly anyone uses it. You just swipe your card to enter, so it's practically 24 hours. It was sufficient for my workout needs.
The infinity pool has a nice view, and my kids loved it. There were a lot of Indian people diving and having 'doggy paddle' races, making the pool quite chaotic, and nobody seemed to be managing it. The Indian 'doggy paddle' is hilarious; it's not the first time I've seen it, I've seen it countless times now! I even wonder if it's some kind of Indian national art form? The key thing is, this stroke is exhausting and inefficient, yet they all seem to enjoy it immensely 😂
GGuest UserIn the middle of the night water was leaking
Into the walkway .Thro lights .rhey couldn’t repair it quickly n it was past midnite .Altho they transfered me to another rom far far away i lost sleep n became a bad holiday it was my last nite .i requested for a refund for one nite but they said they needed some approval n update me on Monday this should not be the case n they shld refund me for the nite ..it caused me so sleepless night n I was very tired
LLeslie933The hotel is well-maintained, and the breakfast is consistently good! The fishing trip was a lot of fun, caught plenty of fish. However, I'd recommend booking the mangrove tour elsewhere (the hotel's mangrove tour didn't feature any bats). The beach is very clean, but there aren't many small creatures (like hermit crabs...). The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Choosing this hotel for our anniversary was definitely the right decision. All in all, it truly is one of Langkawi's top hotels.
