Absolutely no regrets booking this place! It's so beautiful, a truly lovely spot! 😍 I took the Galaxy room, which was gorgeous, and my kids loved it, but unfortunately, themed rooms like this don't have a TV 🥲. There are many swimming pools, and the kids had a blast! You can also go down to the beach and play in the sand. There's even a mini zoo. I'm definitely going to repeat next time, but I want to try a different room, hehe. By the way, the parking is spacious, and you can park close to your room block, which makes carrying luggage easy. My room was on the second floor, and there's no elevator, so you have to take the stairs.
This is my second time here. I got room B03 this time, and the blanket was much thinner compared to room B02. The air conditioning took a long time to cool down. The TV was great though. At 12 PM, staff will knock on your door multiple times if you haven't checked out yet. Parking is free in front of the building. The pool water was fine, and there's a rinsing area. They have a Cuckoo water dispenser. It's walking distance to the beach. The price is cheap.
Lot of facilities are not working or not available. Request to repair the jacuzzi, they came once, problem was not solved and that’s it. unuseable jacuzzi for the whole stay. Ok for a calm no activities stay, but not for families looking for varieties of activities such as ATV, jet ski etc.
Fairway of the golf course was patchy, and most bunkers are not playable. Greens are ok.
Fantastic stay! The owner is incredibly kind and helpful. It's conveniently located very close to the airport. They have a small selection of snacks available downstairs, and there's a swimming pool at the back. This place is perfect for a stopover the night before heading to Redang Island. If you make prior arrangements, your Redang Island transfer driver can pick you up directly from the hotel.
can't find any reasonable pricing hotel in Terengganu due to they lack of nice hotel that is within the budget. The beach is nice to enjoy but the room are not that great due to it's age... everything still stays in 60s style that never changes. The room's door are still using keys to lock and the room itself are quite dark to enjoy a good night sleep...Morning Buffet aren't great and lack of choices...
The Perhentian Islands in Malaysia are a true paradise, easily earning the title of the 'Malaysian Maldives.'
I chose the Perhentian Island Resort, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The hotel is located on the main Perhentian island, right on the edge of a lagoon with crystal-clear turquoise waters. Nearby, there's a picturesque coral reef and a pristine white sand beach adorned with palm trees, reminiscent of exotic 'Bounty' advertisements. Guests are offered secluded bungalows with terraces, most of which boast panoramic sea views. The hotel grounds feature a well-maintained swimming pool and a tennis court. Despite their simplicity, the rooms are equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The buffet breakfasts cater to a wide range of tastes and national preferences, offering fresh and delicious dishes.
The hotel is also home to a variety of wildlife: you can spot squirrels, monitor lizards, newts, frogs, and bats. But the real treat was observing a family of spectacled langurs, who seemed to be enjoying their vacation in this natural haven too!
The very next day after arriving, I went on a snorkeling tour, which allowed me to see the island from different angles, including other hotels and beaches inaccessible from the shore. Subsequent walks around the island, exploring its jungle, checking out other accommodations, and even visiting a neighboring islet, firmly convinced me that choosing Perhentian Island Resort was the right decision.
The beach, the prevailing peace and quiet, and the comfortable atmosphere—it's pure bliss!
I will definitely be back!
We initially had a frustrating experience as our towels were delivered quite late. However, the situation was handled professionally by Manager Iza, who personally delivered the towels to our room and sincerely apologized for the delay. Her prompt action and attention to guests made a positive difference.
Overall, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We booked four rooms and requested them to be located near each other, which the hotel successfully accommodated. However, housekeeping services need improvement, as one of our rooms was not serviced and there were some inconsistencies in room maintenance during our stay.
The hotel’s location is excellent and very convenient. It is close to everything we needed, with Restoran Singgang Budu located right beside the hotel. There are also laundry facilities nearby, and plenty of food options within walking distance, making it a great choice for travelers.
The staff were friendly, always smiling, and genuinely tried their best to accommodate our requests throughout our stay. While housekeeping could be improved, the service recovery by the management team and the hotel’s strategic location made our overall stay enjoyable.
This was our repeat stay in the Sumai Hotel Apartment. It is strategically located, very near to the beach and a walking distance to the Masjid Muktafi Billah Shah. The room is cosy and spacious. The counter service was excellent.
I'd like to start this review with some advice: don't read bad reviews when the vast majority are good. You can't please everyone. Our choice of Coral View Island Resort wasn't based on negative information in the property description, but on watching videos online. And our expectations were met.
Coral View offers several accommodation options to suit every taste and budget. We didn't skimp and chose a chalet with a sea view on the beachfront. And we were right. You only live once – you should treat yourself.
The overall impression of the complex is positive. The grounds are vast and well-maintained. There's plenty of greenery and wildlife. Plenty of water, and it's used wisely – artificial waterfalls and fountains in the most unexpected places are a feast for the eyes. The staff is quirky and seems a bit detached from the guests, but they do their job well.
We arrived from the mainland in the morning, around 11:00 a.m., and we were checked in immediately without any questions. Cleaning and towel changes were done daily. Bottled water and toiletries were replenished in the room every day. We never had to ask for anything or remind anyone.
The private beach at this complex, like its neighbors The Barat and Mamas, is not suitable for swimming, so we opted for the gorgeous PIR Beach—it's a three-minute walk away and has a convenient walkway.
The complex's restaurant wasn't impressive. It seemed like it served a secondary purpose for the owner—the limited selection of dishes doesn't attract customers. However, we did have dinner in the barbecue area once, and they prepared a decent seafood dish.
We also didn't enjoy breakfast. We had lunch and dinner at The Barat, and we also had morning coffee there. It's a bit more expensive, but the wide selection of dishes and the efficient staff make up for it. The average bill per person at The Barat is 60 MYR, and you can pay by card, including Union Pay. The island's leisure options are limited to swimming, boat trips, hiking, and diving. We didn't try the latter.
The boat trip was wonderful, especially swimming alongside turtles and coral reef fish. For hiking, there's a well-maintained trail at the far end of the PIR. It leads to the opposite side of the island. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Even children can walk there, but mosquito repellent is essential. There's also an excellent water park for children, and a large swimming pool for everyone.
Now for the nuances. Of course, there are some. The water supply to the facility, including the pools, is chlorinated freshwater. However, the drainage situation is unclear: the wastewater leaks and emits a distinctive odor, especially when there's no wind.
We noticed this not only at this complex but at all the neighboring ones as well. The electricity is supplied by diesel engines; they're somewhere in the forest, but you can hear them. There were a few outages, but they lasted only half a minute. The air conditioner is essential in the house, but as we discovered, no one maintains it and it was working poorly. The screens on the indoor unit were clogged with dust, so we cleaned them ourselves – that improved things. Small flying insects like moths appear in the house in the evenings; they are attracted to light, and a fumigator helps keep them away. Geckos also scurry around the ceiling and make funny chirping sounds at night – don't be alarmed. We didn't have any mosquitoes in our house. There are plenty of animals on the property, but they are all harmless: lazy monitor lizards, timid monkeys, flying foxes that only fly at night, and only the squirrels are tame and cheeky.
The pool is turned on in the morning and off in the evening. A fan helps dry wet clothes, swimsuits, etc. There is a retractable hanger. A safe is available for storing valuables. One key is provided. Room checkout is without inspection or waiting – they bring it to reception and that's it.
I come to dungun for business purpose. I had the best stay ever for heal and chill after work with perfect view. The place was secluded but not too scary and feels save at night. 100% would come again for the view. The room is spacious enough, toilet is clean. Amenities are just basic which is not an issue. Superb! Perfect for great healing and away from the busy city!

Uuneyy_6924 Hours in Paradise: Why One Night at Sutra Beach Resort Feels Like a Dream!
Let me tell you something — not all staycations are created equal. Some are just a change of location. But a night at Sutra Beach Resort? That’s a whole different story.
The moment you step into the resort, it feels like you’ve entered a slower, calmer world. No chaos. No rush. Just the soothing rhythm of the ocean guiding your entire experience. It’s the kind of place where time doesn’t just slow down — it almost stops.
I started my stay with a simple walk along the beach. Barefoot, feeling the sand, listening to the waves… and suddenly, everything else didn’t matter anymore. That’s the magic of this place — it pulls you into the present moment without even trying.
The facilities are just enough to keep you comfortable without distracting you from the real highlight: nature. Whether it’s lounging by the pool, enjoying the sea breeze, or just sitting under the shade doing absolutely nothing — every second feels intentional.
And then came the sunset. Honestly, pictures don’t do it justice. The sky exploded into colors, and for a moment, it felt like the whole world paused just to admire it. People gathered quietly, watching, smiling — strangers sharing a beautiful moment together.
Nighttime brought a completely different vibe. Calm, cool, and incredibly peaceful. No loud city noise, no stress — just the sound of waves and the occasional breeze. I slept better than I had in weeks.
Morning came too fast. Waking up to the ocean view felt surreal, like I was still dreaming. And that’s the thing — even after checking out, it still feels like a dream.
One night at Sutra Beach Resort isn’t just a stay. It’s an experience. A reset. A reminder of how beautiful life can be when you slow down.

GGuest UserI would like to sincerely thank you for the wonderful hospitality, friendliness, and helpful service throughout my wife’s and my stay at Tanjong Jara Resort. From the smooth check-in until check-out, every moment made our stay truly enjoyable, memorable, and relaxing.
We had a very happy experience at the resort and would highly recommend Tanjong Jara Resort to our family and friends. It is definitely one of the best resort choices in Terengganu.
Special thanks and appreciation to Ai Li, Umah, Haziq, Ruzly, Angel, Amira, Athir, Yusri, Yanna, Khairi, and Aidil for their excellent service, warm hospitality, and dedication in making our stay so pleasant.
Thank you once again, and we hope to visit again in the future 😊
DDonny TKAfter a 45-minute boat ride, we got off at the first stop and contacted the hotel for a pick-up. It was less than a 10-minute drive to the hotel. Next to the hotel, there's a local restaurant; their tomato fried rice was good, but the green beans were a bit undercooked. The prices were reasonable. The hotel's internal restaurant also served good food, so you can eat there if you don't want to go out. The hotel's buffet breakfast was quite lavish, and the kids loved it! The hotel has a yoga studio and a gym (you need to take the hotel's sightseeing car up the mountain), a kids' club, a trampoline, billiards, table tennis, manual mahjong, and foosball. Right outside the pool is a beach. If you want to go snorkeling (our diving times were 9 AM and 2 PM, arrive at the dive center 10 minutes early), you need to book in advance with the hotel, then go to the dive center behind the restaurant to get your gear and wait to depart. The hotel beach has many small crabs, and lots of small fish in the water; in deeper areas, there are bigger fish too. The hotel was very comfortable, and the kids didn't want to leave after 3 nights. We'll definitely come back to this hotel next time.
Sometimes, monkeys appear on the room balconies, so try not to hang clothes out there, as they might be taken by the monkeys.
The rooms are wooden cabins, so the facilities are a bit old, and many things showed signs of dampness and mold. The basic amenities are just okay; germaphobes probably wouldn't be able to stay here.
ZZrKayStayed here for 3 days and booked the Cliff Bay Suite for my husband’s birthday, honestly it was such a memorable experience.
From the start, everything felt well taken care of. A manager, Mei Ling was assigned to assist us, which made things very smooth. We arrived early and they kindly offered early check-in at 12PM-ish, so I could settle in and even continue working from the room, perfect little “work from hotel” moment.
We were welcomed with tea, and when we entered the room, the aircond was already turned on, super cooling and refreshing after the journey. They also prepared a birthday cake with a sweet message on the table, which made the surprise feel complete.
The room itself was beautiful, we got one of the highest floors, and the view was just amazing. Waking up to that ocean view really hits different.
Amenities were top tier. They provided L’Occitane for shower, shampoo, and lotion, didn’t even need to use my own. Requested a refill the next day and they sent it over quickly in the morning, very efficient.
The private beach is stunning and not crowded at all, which I really appreciated. Plenty of activities available too, free kayak, outdoor gym, and they can arrange dinner setups and snorkeling trips for you.
Transport was also seamless, they picked us up from Kampung Redang jetty and sent us back during checkout, so everything felt hassle-free.
Breakfast was great overall, quality and taste were there, but the variety was slightly limited. I was expecting a bit more selection, but still a very enjoyable spread.
Overall, the views, service, and experience were just beautiful. Definitely a place I would come back to again when visiting Redang 🤍

HH4ik4lIf you're visiting KT for the food and shopping, you can't beat this spot. It’s within walking distance to KTCC Mall and Mayang Mall, and the Drawbridge (Jambatan Angkat) is just a short drive away. We stayed in a Superior Deluxe room which was surprisingly spacious.
The breakfast at the rooftop café was a highlight—not just for the local flavors, but for the stunning view of the coast. While the décor is a bit dated (the carpets have seen better days), the staff's friendliness and the high water pressure in the shower made up for it. Great value for money if you're looking for a base to explore the city
