The resort environment is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. We booked a two-bedroom suite, and the facilities were well-maintained. It included several complimentary recreational activities. You can go boating, and the Water World is huge and a lot of fun, with wave pools and large slides. The kids went twice and still wanted more! The queue for the half-mountain toboggan was acceptable, and it was also great fun. The views from the mountaintop are endless and perfect for photos. There's a convenient shuttle bus from the hotel to the train station. The hotel also provides a shuttle to the West Slope visitor distribution center. We were lucky enough to see the Heavenly Lake. There are plenty of dining options within the resort. There's a folk music bar in the back street where you can listen to music in the evening. For families with young children, staying within the resort is actually enough. If you want to visit the North or South Slope, you'll need to rent a car. The transportation is convenient, and our travel experience was very satisfying. If you're coming to Changbai Mountain, you definitely have to choose the Wanda Resort!
Pleasantly surprised! I never expected to find a hotel with such excellent design in the North. It really exceeded my expectations. Here's a hidden gem for photos: check out the corridor in their hot spring changing room – it's incredibly futuristic. Remember the lab corridor where the female protagonist wakes up in Resident Evil? It's just like that!
