The hotel's location is excellent, connected to a mall, with a lively surrounding area including a night market and business district. It's very convenient for dining and shopping.
Facilities: Complete, but a bit old.
Hygiene: Not bad.
Environment: Fantastic.
Service: Acceptable.
Enjoyed during my one night stay. I’ve booked an urban twin room, allocated at level 15 facing the river. The view is stunning. As it was still Chinese New Year period on my stay, so got to see a number of fireworks from my room. Staff are friendly. Would definitely come back.
I was very satisfied with my stay at this B&B. The check-in process was clear, straightforward, and quick. The room was spacious, very clean and tidy, with all the amenities you could need. The view was absolutely beautiful. I slept very soundly and quietly at night 🛌. I'll definitely be back to this B&B next time! 👏👏👏
Breakfast at Oliva cafe was great. But on the 2nd morning which coincides with Xmas day, the service was not too great. Too a while to replenish food 😅 might be due to lack of staff? I don't know. The best point is the location, near (walking distance) to mid valley south key mall but not the same pricey tag to st Giles. Room is clean and functional. I like that I can control the thermostat

Decided to have an impromptu one night stay at Holiday Villa JB during CNY - a hotel we have stayed at for a few times already. Slightly dated but still quite well maintained. The carpark ramps are the only scary thing - so narrow that most Singaporeans just opt for the 35RM per entry valet. Kalaivani at the Reception was really friendly and funny! They have very little double bed units but thankfully we got one. Due to CNY, fire crackers were being popped until almost 1am! Don’t think this is a good option for families with small children who need to sleep early. Thanks for a good stay!
Good location as it is on top of Paradigm mall, even though have to take grab to get to the mall. Decent breakfast with the fresh orange juice being the highlight. Good service as they made the bed for the third person even though have to wait some time for room to be ready.
Bathroom got hot showers. Bedroom is good and comfortable. Good location and near night market and many shops. Market and variety cafeteria. Staff worker very good and helpful iff you have a question for ask address where do you want to go.

A decent hotel located at the western part of Johor Bahru. Breakfast was ok with local delights such as porridge, Nasi lemak and prata. Western bakery were served as well. The room I stay was a family room as smaller rooms I understand were all fully booked. However I did inquire on the e possibility of late checkout which is 1230pm and they are flexible to do a so call half day extension till 6pm at a top up depending on the room availability. Swimming pool looks clean when I visited. No many shopping and eatery around unless you drive.

Okay, Fives is definitely not a five-star hotel, but honestly, the location, price, and staff more than make up for it. Pros: Price is shiok — especially if you book a few weeks in advance. Your wallet confirm happy. Location solid — Yes, it’s a few hundred metres further than the big-name hotels, but still right opposite Komtar JBCC. Just cross the road and you’re there lor. Staff all very steady — Always cheerful and polite. Stayed here more than three times already, and every time feels like coming home (minus the nagging from mum). Facilities okay one — No pool, but got a big, comfy lobby where you can nua while waiting for your Grab. Best part? Got a huge convenience store inside the lobby that opens till 2am. Supper crisis solved lah. Cons: No pool lor. So if you wanna float around in a bikini, go somewhere else. Never tried the breakfast spread, so cannot comment. Maybe nice, maybe meh. Other notes: Rooms are small-small one, and while they look clean, maybe don’t go CSI mode and inspect too closely. Not a dealbreaker though — just manage your expectations. Verdict: If you’re in JB for one or two nights, and you just want a good location, great price, and no-frills stay, this one is perfect.

Title: Relaxing Stay with Great Facilities
This was my second stay at Holiday Inn JBCC, and it didn’t disappoint! I especially loved the gym — it was well-equipped and a joy to use. On the second day of CNY, the hotel felt wonderfully peaceful, almost like having the whole place to ourselves. The overall atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing.
Definitely a great choice for an stress-free getaway!

MMeiernikeyalunThe DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru is perfect for a transit stay! The location is fantastic, super close to the immigration checkpoint, easily walkable, which makes crossing the border a breeze. The room was clean and tidy, with new facilities, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. The breakfast spread was incredibly varied and delicious, truly satisfying. My only regret is that I only stayed for one day, it definitely wasn't enough! The service was warm and attentive, and the overall experience was excellent. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Johor Bahru. Highly recommended!

YYL_SnoopyIf you like a quiet, cosy place that give you a resort feel, then this hotel will be a good choice.
Initially booked this hotel is because wanting to try the Gem Spa, as previously I tried their other outlet which was very good. But sadly due to time constraints, we didn't manage to go the spa.
What I like about this hotel is, there is a hard rock within the hotel. So if you do not want to travel 15mins out, then you can actually chill and eat there.
The room is cosy but sadly that even I had booked the sea view, the view was not directly. I was allocated a room that faced the road and far right is the sea. But the plus point is I have a bathtub.
Overall the service is good, breakfast is average and the occupancy of the hotel is high but you do not feel crowded.
GGuest UserVisited this hotel years ago before Covid. Revisited after 7 years. No change to the overall look and feel. Feeling not too bad.
Location: Good near Bukit Indah Aeon. Difficult to come in given we now don’t drive Bus network no good. Not coming in anytime soon.
Service: Good. Counter staff allow early check in and given us high floor.
Cleanliness: Good, basic stuff provided. Nothing fancy.
Room: Lightings is dim, not enough lighting. TV channels cannot load due to poor wifi. YouTube Netflix cannot watch too. A bit disappointed.
Breakfast: OK comes with Nasi Lemak, Noodles / Porridge section. Pastries and bread.

SsakiiiiiinahMagical mornings and sunsets, will definitely stay again. The dinner set could have been better, it was clearly indicated that a main, soup, drink and dessert would be about 35rm nett, but when we enquired, they said we had to add on for the dessert. It was clearly stated but i didn't feel like arguing because the food wasn't very great so I just left.
The receptionist and everyone else was good, breakfast was okay, no other complaints aside from the above.
GGuest UserIt was very good experience as we stayed with families there. There were kids activities planned by Hotel staff. Nice pool but there is no slide or water park like thing. The location is nice as nearby there are lot of shops to buy anything you like. It’s far from
Beach but there is shuttle bus to beach so no need to worry. Beach of Desaru is not so great ok types so you are not missing a lot by not staying on the beach. Hotel rooms and spacious and clean value for money for sure.
LLiah ZainWe had a wonderful stay at Sheraton JB. We booked a family room and absolutely loved it — especially the kids. The room was super spacious, very comfortable, and everything felt new and spotlessly clean.
There was more than enough complimentary bottled water provided for our 3 days 2 nights stay, which we really appreciated. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary birthday cake prepared for my daughter. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more special.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of choices to suit both adults and kids. We really enjoyed it.
The only downside was that our toilet did not have a bidet. Not sure if other room types are equipped with one, but it would definitely be a plus.
Overall, it was a very pleasant and memorable stay. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel, especially for families.

MMESTAIt was a worthwhile stay in this resort. The room is spacious and clean. One small issue is that our sofa was broken, but the staff was able to replace it the next day. The hotel also has a lot of activities to choose from. The food in the restaurant is okay for us, not so special but good enough. We weren't able to try the Chinese and Japanese restos, though. The breakfast menu is a bit limited. Overall, we had a pleasant stay!
