We ended up at the Daytona Grande after the Hilton Oceanfront overbooked and we were on our way with no place to stay! Admittedly not the safest, but I had to book this place while driving from the Orlando airport and just looking for something that wasn’t a total dive but still decently priced without a ton of extra fees. No free breakfast here which is something I especially appreciate as a family of 6, but in this case it was just me and my teenage son in town for an archery championship. After the highly stressful day of travel we had, the Grande was like a little slice of Heaven! It was clean, quiet, and beautiful. We decided after having to skip lunch with flight delays and all that, we just wanted a good meal and a good bed and we got exactly that. My son and I split truffle fries to start, the crusted crab filet, and beignets for dessert. All were wonderful (and we’re from Dallas where there is no shortage of excellent food) and enjoyed Oceanside on the dimly lit quiet patio. My only criticism is that the tables should be turned perpendicularly to the ocean and hotel so that everyone at the table gets a view of both rather than one facing a wall while the other faces the ocean. Rooms were nicely decorated, had comfortable, intuitive lighting, handy USB plugs, and most importantly REALLY COMFORTABLE BEDS! We have a Tempurpedic at home so my sleep is usually pretty abysmal at hotels. Now, this wasn’t as comfy as home, but I slept hard and woke without being sore since the bed was genuinely comfortable. My only complaints about the room were that the window sheers, while stylish, really gave no privacy at all, so if you wanted privacy you had to sacrifice light. Water pressure wasn’t great and the bathroom needed more towel bars and hooks. This would’ve been way more of a nuisance with the whole family, but they also came midday and restocked towels and made up the beds, which we see less and less of these days, even at nice hotels in the name of being “green”. But it was spacious and clean and otherwise nicely equipped. Elevators were fast and never held us up. Beach access from the elevator was nice as we didn’t have to walk through the lobby in swimsuits. Parking was slightly inconvenient being caddy corner across the street, but not bad at all. We considered but didn’t try room service mainly due to price and unknown wait (when we had tournament times to consider) but the little shop/cafe in the lobby was great and convenient and priced about as you’d expect (pricey, but not too ridiculous). We got coffee and breakfast sandwiches both days. I think the biggest issue with this place is the visibility. It’s tall to be sure so you’re not going to miss it, but the entrance and signage is on the far side and behind a little aqua building (I think called Sand Dunes) which had to be apartments or a teeny hotel that I can only assume refused to sell to the Grande in development so the Grande built around it. It keeps it from having the opulent entrance that the Hilton does

The inly thing I could fault was the signage to anywhere. There are none. We walked 30min. Round two hotels. For what should have been a few minutes cause once of the boat taxi for the first time no signed for lobby or anything. Same in morning sign to water taxi then no sign to say get life to floor one. Tbh this seems to a standard thing round universal. No sign or basic sign to everything toilets hotel rides. But have to say hotel was amazing and clean and would stay again. Ashley it early check in and late collection was very helpful

Ein besonderes Highlight war der außergewöhnliche Service von Alan und seinem fantastischen Team. Sie haben wirklich alles dafür getan, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Ob es um individuelle Wünsche, wertvolle Insider-Tipps für Key West oder einfach nur freundliche Gespräche ging – Alan und sein Team waren immer mit einem Lächeln und größter Professionalität zur Stelle. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Aufmerksamkeit fürs Detail: Von der perfekten Organisation bis hin zu kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten, die den Unterschied machen – der Service war einfach erstklassig. Man merkt, dass Alan und sein Team mit Herz und Leidenschaft dabei sind, und das spiegelt sich in der gesamten Atmosphäre des Resorts wider. Wir können das Southernmost Beach Resort wärmstens empfehlen – nicht nur wegen der traumhaften Lage und der luxuriösen Ausstattung, sondern vor allem wegen des außergewöhnlichen Service, der jeden Aufenthalt zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis macht. Room was good. A little dated but with as much as we were in the room, it didnt really matter. The bathroom could use an upgrade though. Everyone that we came in contact with were very friendly.

Room 416 the refrigerator is froze up and wouldn’t cool anything, I didn’t realize this until the meds I took that had to be kept cool were ruined. The beds seemed way to firm but managed ok with that.

It's OK. The hotel has an elegant environment, complete facilities, warm and thoughtful service staff, and a very comfortable stay. The location is convenient and travel is convenient. Overall it's OK

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and had a great time with family. We'd love to go back if we get the chance. The beach access is excellent, and you can even play golf.

The unit was beautiful but it needs a little bit of maintenance. Little things to fix to make it perfect. Iron board but no iron dish liquid but no sponge patio seat plastic and broken . The patio door verticals missing slabs . No window treatments to avoid bright light in the morning. Is these are fix it would be nice

We wanted to spend a few days in the St Augustine area. This was perfect. It had its own beach. Super friendly staff. Nice breakfast in the morning. Chairs and umbrellas you could rent for the beach. Very convenient. I would stay here again. Thank you!

The hotel itself was great, and it's super close to Universal Studios. However, I stayed for one night and they charged my deposit twice. I figured it would be cancelled, so I confidently checked out (since self-checkout is common in the US). A week later, I saw over $400 charged to my card! This is absolutely ridiculous 😡😡. I paid for all my food and fun at Universal Studios directly, and didn't spend a single cent at the hotel! Trip.com is actively looking into it, so I'm waiting to hear back. 😔
