Upon entering the hotel, it immediately felt like a travel agency hotel, as we saw several groups of tour group guests checking in. The hotel's location was fairly good, just a few minutes' walk from the Pink Post Office, and there was a park opposite the hotel, though it seemed closed. About a 20-minute walk from the hotel was a beautiful lake, worth visiting, with a touch of Switzerland. There was a Pizza Hut on the way to the lake where we could eat, and a large horse riding stable nearby. The hotel rooms, while small, were clean and tidy. Our room was on the second floor with the window facing the hotel entrance, where tour buses were constantly picking up and dropping off passengers, resulting in significant noise and exhaust fumes. We couldn't open the window; it only quieted down very late. Because we had to get up early the next day, we didn't have breakfast at the restaurant; the hotel packed it for us, and it was quite tasty. Besides the lake, Pink Post Office, and horse riding stable, there wasn't much else to see around the hotel. The streets felt rather noisy and dirty, not like a typical tourist city.
The owner’s own house was changed, Sri Lanka’s local tyrant, two Land Rover. At the top of the mountain, the top floor bar is really view360. The only problem is that the curtains of the roller blinds are almost shaded. Chef is super good! ! ! Chef is super good! ! ! To be honest, the room is just like that. There is not much room for it. Kandy has a good choice for one to two nights. The chef is super, Md can't help but mention it! The pool is good, but it is too cold to get into the water.
This hotel is lovely and modern. We only stayed for one night but the experience was very pleasant. The room was clean and modern. The pool was great, it was warm and they also had a well equipped gym.
The breakfast buffet was also very good! They had a variety of dishes and staff were attentive!
We loved this hotel to the point we would return to Kandy to stay here again! The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional, the hotel and rooms were all clean and well maintained and the food at both dinner and breakfast was delicous. Overall we loved out stay here and wish we could have stayed longer.
*we also bought some jewelry from the shop in the hotel which was good too.

Hotel was prepared and ready for my arrival. Had issues with connection to wifi so had to contact the reception.
No hairdryer in room and had to request this even though it should’ve been there already.
Ordered room service, it came cold and items forgotten from order even though order was repeated back to me on the phone.
Breakfast was average for a Radisson. Seating options strange with big long tables reserved for groups rather than small families, couples and singles.
Tuktuk touts waiting outside hotel to pester you for your destination.
It was clean for the most part and well needed after a long day of travel but I wouldn’t return. Not sure how this hotel is #1 in Kandy but I was left feeling disappointed.
The room looked clean and big, but it smelled very bad, and the air conditioner was very powerful! The buffet at our own expense was really great, and the price was not expensive. The food was better than in China!

This hotel is on the top of the mountain. The view is very good, the environment is OK, the building is very distinctive, including the decoration of the room, but the worst thing is that the hygiene is very worrying, the door is a bit old, the refrigerator is so dirty that you can't get it off, and there are stains under the toilet seat There were urine stains and hair on the bed. The bed was two beds pushed together and it was uncomfortable to sleep on. The quilt was a sheet and was too tight to pull out. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Fortunately, there was a blanket in the cabinet to cover it with. Regarding the food, it’s not good either.
The location of the hotel is relatively remote, but it feels like a manor inside. The guest room is similar to a single-story villa with a large bed and a small bed, and can accommodate three adults. The room hygiene is good, but the floor drain next to the toilet tends to accumulate water. The mattress of the large bed is moderately soft and hard, and the floor-to-ceiling doors and windows face the garden, giving you a first-class view. Although no monkeys were seen knocking on the door, various warblers and birds were constantly chirping, and the ecological and natural environment was well protected. The breakfast was rich in variety, not just curry food, but also a lot of bacon and oatmeal, as well as watermelon, papaya and other tropical items. fruit. A satisfactory stay

Very Good
CcnphoebeAn exceptional stay at a lovely hotel. Great pool, fantastic views and really good dinner buffet which was fairly priced! It is quite out of the way - 20 minutes out of town and not walkable - but this is necessary for some unrivalled views, the best in Kandy!
GGuest UserThe owners and employees at this hotel are so, so lovely.
Unfortunately their hotel is not. I almost feel catfished as many of the photos highlighted the bar and pool party atmosphere. This was not the case - the pool was a decent size but in the shade and I actually didn’t see anyone in it. The pool party drinking shots I highly suspect were perhaps not a genuine source.
The same goes for the bar which is massive and attended to by several lovely young, bored gentlemen as both times I popped up (once for dinner) I was the only patron. Again no party atmosphere or even people - which is a shame as it is a big venue.
Fortunately next door was another venue for some decent cocktails and music which saved the boredom somewhat.
The bedroom was a decent size with a small fridge (but didn’t work), the bathroom was small, felt dirty, no hand soap or soap for the shower (apart from leftover previous occupants - and that was gross).
The pressure was poor making showering difficult and there was plaster on the floor from some damage - not cleaned up.
The bed was massive and comfortable with air conditioning and a fan so sleep was good.
Finally, and to repeat, the staff were lovely. Very hospitable and the location is about a ten minute walk to the Sacred Tooth Temple and Kandy Lake. So great location.
Would I stay there again - no. Would I pop in to say hello to the owners and next door for a cocktails - possibly!

GGuest UserNestled amidst Sri Lanka's lush jungle landscape, Heritance Kandalama offers an unparalleled retreat that seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff provided a warm and professional welcome, setting the tone for an exceptional stay. The hotel's architectural design, a masterpiece by Geoffrey Bawa, is both innovative and environmentally conscious, blending modern luxury with the beauty of the natural environment. Our room featured panoramic views of the Kandalama Reservoir, allowing us to wake up to the serene sights and sounds of nature. The property boasts three distinct swimming pools, including an infinity pool that appears to merge with the lake, offering breathtaking vistas. Dining at Heritance Kandalama is a culinary delight. The Kanchana Restaurant offers an extensive buffet with a variety of Sri Lankan and international dishes, all while providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Throughout our stay, the staff consistently demonstrated attentiveness and professionalism, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was comfortable and memorable. Heritance Kandalama is more than just a hotel; it's an experience that celebrates the harmony between luxury and nature.

GGuest UserHotels in Sri Lanka generally have low value for money, and most of the well-known heritage hotels have outdated facilities. In comparison, Golden Crown is a relatively new hotel with fairly complete facilities. The location is good and the lobby decoration is very unique. It happened to be Valentine's Day when we checked in, and red balloons were placed on the bed, which was very warm.

GGuest UserA stunning villa and very hospitality host. Very clean, comfortable and beautiful, the host helped order food during the rain and was interested in how our business was after departure. Come in the morning and cooked a chic breakfast while we were sleeping. There was a feeling that we were in the Sri Lpn friends :) In the house there are all necessary, we would like to stay here for a longer time!
GGuest UserFrom someone who has travelled to many countries, this is one of the best hotels that I’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommended for anyone who is fascinated with tea, or even simply someone looking for an oasis to relax in.
