There was not body wash in the bathroom for the first night we stayed, so we could only use hand soap for bathing after our workout at midnight. We informed the front desk staff the next morning about this and he promised to follow up. However, the body wash bottle was still empty when we returned hotel in afternoon. We again asked the cleansing lady to follow up and she said ‘OK’ to us, unfortunately the result was the same when we returned the room after dinner. I believe good services to the guests by a world class hotel is significant, so recurrence of such kind of matter should be avoided. Thanks.
The hotel manager and his team were exceptionally warm and welcoming. The food was of high quality, and both the service and reception were delivered to a very high standard.
Some challenges encountered, which appear to be beyond the hotel’s direct control, included the condition of the road leading to the hotel — rough and dusty — as well as the lengthy 45-minute journey from the airport. Additionally, there were WiFi connectivity issues during the first two days of our stay; however, these were eventually resolved.
Lastly, the intensity of the Marrakech heat was truly remarkable.
Overall, I would rate the hotel a respectable 7 out of 10.
The overall service needs to be improved. The room needs to be checked before being handed over to guests. The reception/ breakfast area's air conditioning was continuous off. The quality of breakfast was just a tick in the box for free breakfast.
Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to be as informative as possible and share the information I would have liked to know before booking.
This was my 5th trip to Marrakesh and my first stay at Savoy Le Grand. I was quite nervous booking after reading some negative reviews, but overall I had a very pleasant experience.
From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed by Salah (concierge) and the Moroccan tea man in reception. From check-in to check-out (4 days later), all staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everyone we encountered spoke Arabic, French, and English, which made communication very easy.
The foyer is beautiful, and the grounds are extremely well cared for—even more beautiful than expected. That said, there is ongoing construction and upgrades, which are not mentioned on the website. This is currently their quiet season, and the main construction is above the reception building, which is being extended upwards. Noise started daily around 9:15am, drilling around 9:38am, and finished around 6:30pm. Estimated completion is 1 May 2026. If you request a room near the second smaller pool, the noise is much less noticeable. The noise is louder and echoes more around the main pool due to the square layout.
The hotel has four pools: two outdoor and two indoor. One indoor pool is heated and includes jacuzzi jets. There is also an additional indoor jacuzzi at the spa, charged at MAD 250 per person for one hour.
There are three à la carte restaurants on site: Moroccan, International, and Italian. Directly outside the hotel are a supermarket, Paul, Chilli’s, and Papa John’s. Please note that outside food is not allowed inside the hotel. There is an ATM in reception and direct access to Menara Mall, which closes at 10pm.
Special thanks to Nabil at reception, who did an excellent job checking us in. He listened carefully to my needs and arranged early check-in to a ground-floor room close to the restaurants, spa, and gym, with a garden and pool view. Soundproofing from the pool area was good, although hallway noise does travel. The grounds are beautiful, but the ground-floor rooms occasionally had a sewage smell, which I’ve also experienced at other Moroccan hotels.
We did experience a few issues with our first room (heating not working, leaking fridge, slow-draining sink). Without us needing to complain, Soukayna from guest relations came first thing the next morning and immediately arranged for us to move to a beautiful suite. This level of customer service, care, and attentiveness is exactly what you expect from a 5-star hotel. In the evening there’s live entertainment music in the bar and outside a light & water fountain display.
The suite was stunning—very spacious, with a separate living area, two balconies, lots of storage, mini fridge, large sofa, king-size bed, two TVs, kettle, coffee machine, safe, bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom had two sinks (standard rooms have one), plenty of toiletries (no washcloths), a large shower with both handheld and waterfall options, and excellent water pressure. There wasn’t much space to hang items, and there is a bidet hose beside the toilet. Thank you to the head cleaning lady for the final touches and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
I’d like to thank all the staff for providing us with a wonderful stay. I love the Moroccan people—they are humble, kind, and always willing to help. Despite the construction, I achieved my goal of relaxation and a short break. This is now my new favourite hotel in Marrakesh, and I will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family
Really nice hotel a 20 walk from the main sights of the city. The hotel room is small and the shower could have been built better to prevent flooding but the staff are nice and breakfast was tasty.
I had a wonderful stay at Kech Boutique Hotel & Spa. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, especially with my baby — they were so kind, attentive, and made everything easy for us. The spa was a real highlight: peaceful, professional, and exactly what I needed to relax. Everyone we met was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for comfort with a personal touch.
I stayed at Estana CR7 in Marrakech and overall it was a comfortable experience. The location is convenient, especially for travelers who want to be close to important areas in the city. The hotel has a modern style and the atmosphere feels relaxing.
The staff were polite and helpful whenever I needed assistance. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the place felt safe and quiet.
One small thing to note is that some services or nearby facilities may be closed on certain days, so it’s good to check in advance.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Estana CR7 to anyone visiting Marrakech for a short holiday or trip.

GGuest UserWe particularly appreciated the warm welcome and the attentive service from all the staff, who were always available and courteous.
The reception team deserves a special mention for their professionalism and great friendliness.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Mouad, whose kindness and service-mindedness were truly remarkable. He even took the initiative to speak to the bus driver so we could take our luggage on our excursion, saving us a trip back to the hotel and precious time.
Impeccable service that we really want to highlight.
GGuest UserThis is a very worthwhile hotel. It can be said to be the highlight of the entire trip to Morocco. Each room is an independent Riad courtyard. The service is friendly but not overly enthusiastic. Except for the average food, the environment can be said to be impeccable. Marrakech is actually quite dirty and messy as a whole. The inside and outside of the hotel can be said to be two different worlds. If I come to Marrakech next time, I will still consider staying here!
GGuest UserA wonderful experience, very accommodating. Very helpful and polite. A great location, breakfast was very good. Housemaid was excellent x Overall a lovely experience and stay. The pools were great, lovely selection of food and drinks.
GGuest UserThe service is very good. You can go to the spa and soak in the hot springs. The service attitude is very good. Most of the staff can speak English.
KKgezhiwangNO1The environment and facilities are good. It was very strange to have a travel agent at the front desk of the hotel. When I checked in on the first day, I was introduced to the agency reservation program. After hearing about it, I said thank you and didn't ask for a reservation. When he saw me the next day, he asked me why I didn’t come to him to book a project and asked me to apologize to him? ? ? What's the meaning? ? Other service staff are not very enthusiastic either.
SSoufianeUKDear Sofitel Marrakesh Team,
As a loyal guest who has been staying at Sofitel Marrakesh for the past 15 years, I want to express my continued appreciation for the high standard of service, comfort, and hospitality your hotel consistently delivers. My experiences have always been thoroughly enjoyable, which is why I continue to return year after year.
I wanted to share some constructive feedback regarding the pricing for non-resident guests visiting the pool. I was surprised to see the cost set at 1000 MAD for an afternoon visit. Having recently visited several top-tier 5-star hotels in Dubai — including venues such as the Aura Skypool — I found their pool access prices significantly more reasonable, despite offering similarly or even improved premium experiences and amenities.
fully appreciate the need to maintain exclusivity and quality, but I believe a more accessible pricing structure would be more suitable for guests visitors while still preserving the luxurious experience that Sofitel is known for.
Thank you for taking this into consideration, and I look forward to many more memorable stays in the future.
Warm regards,
Soufiane Maadad
VVirgilio P GarciaThe hotel’s location is excellent as it is walking distance to most of the tourist attractions in Marrakech. Has a huge swimming pool where you can enjoy and relax. However, service is very very poor. On the night that I arrived I requested a slippers by calling the reception, as there were no slippers in the room, but none came. Again the next day I requested again at the front desk and the staff promised to send it to my room, but nothing came. Once again on the 3rd day, I requested the same, as usual nothing came. Three different personnel at the front desk promised to send the slippers to my room but never keep their promise. So much bad service. Another issue with the hotel is the aircon system, it was not functioning during my stay. Only fan is working and it was hot inside the room. And I complained at the front desk and the staff said that the airconditiong were disabled as it still winter or spring season. I tried to open the window and door to the balcony to let cold air inside but unfortunately the road noise was terrible, so I have to close it. Had a really bad experience with Novotel Marrakech.

One of the reasons for coming to Morocco is because I want to stay in the Nijian Hotel. The owner of the hotel is the former King of Morocco, Mohammed VI (Morocco's King Mohammed VI). It was selected as the best hotel in the world in 2020-2021. There are 53 hotels in the whole hotel A detached Riad, each Riad only accommodates 2 people,
There are nearly 500 employees in the hotel. Even when the hotel is full, the ratio of the staff to the guests is about 4 to 1.
Basically, if you search for Morocco on the Internet, many pictures will pop up this hotel. Many Internet celebrities first recommend the strong Moroccan style, but the price is also very expensive. My stay in June is considered to be the off-season, and the room type I stayed in is also They are all the most basic ones, costing about HK$14,000 a night, but expensive has never been his problem... 😂
Personal check-in experience:
Since each room is an independent House, it is necessary to make a reservation for check-in or not to go up and down the stairs.
And such a noble hotel calls reception, the person can’t speak English (most of them can speak French, because this was a French colony before), it’s very simple to ask what time the swimming pool is charged, but they can’t answer, and they think you’re not Speaking French is very low😂, and the more senior staff feel more proud,
I tried Qu Asian Sai Cuisine restaurant during my stay, and the taste is pretty good😋
In addition, it is really good to check in here, especially if it is a Spa🥰. In fact, there is another indoor swimming pool that I really want to take a picture of, but it happens that it is under maintenance... a few more months)

❣️Personally, I think the price/performance ratio is low. Unless you really want to go to the photo studio, you can stay for one night. Otherwise, the most beautiful place is the hotel lobby, so you can go to the photo studio as long as you book a meal.
