I had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my trip to Nepal. The quality exceeded my expectations in every way. The room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, providing a perfect retreat after long days of exploring. The location is absolutely fantastic – right in the city center, which made it incredibly convenient to walk around and shop for local goods in town. What I particularly loved was the proximity to several Chinese restaurants nearby, all offering delicious food at very reasonable prices. The staff truly made our experience special. They were friendly. They were kind enough to store our luggage while we went on our EBC trek.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Everest Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu! This hotel is a gem – beautifully designed in a traditional style, and everything feels brand new and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was a great start to the day, with a good variety of options including fresh juices, tea, coffee, fruit, toast, cheese, and delicious pastries. What really set this hotel apart was their excellent tour desk. We booked our trek to Everest Base Camp with them, and it turned out to be the best decision! Not only did they offer us the most competitive price compared to all the other tour agencies we checked, but our guide, Ram Bhandari (who is also a staff member at the hotel), was truly outstanding. He was incredibly helpful, attentive to our safety throughout the entire trek, and ensured we had great accommodations along the way. We can’t recommend Everest Boutique Hotel highly enough – book with them, and you won’t be disappointed!

We had a lovely short stay in Aarya. Starting off with convenience: by being transported by the vehicle arranged by the hotel from the Intl Airport at no extra cost. This was a lovely touch by the hotel as sometimes travellers may want to avoid the hassle of negotiating with taxi drivers and firms. Then being greeted by the wonderful staff at the reception with khada & a glass of refreshing drink. The check in was smooth and seamless. The hotel itself was remarkably decorated to a classic Nepali ‘Newari’ culture which was very impressive. Located in the heart of Thamel, but slightly away from the drawing music & hustle and bustle of the streets to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that we certainly needed after a long flight. Our room was spacious and kitted out with all the amenities and not forgetting, wonderfully decorated again. The facilities provided in the Hotel, from the Gym to the swimming pool was again impressive considering we were in the heart of Thamel. I particularly enjoyed the view of Sundhara Dharahara and SkyWalk tower whilst running on Treadmill and going for a swim and also the view of Swayambhu whilst doing weights in the Gym. The Sora restaurant at the top floor provided us a majestic view of the city whilst dining both during dinner and breakfast. The glass floor at the dining area was also something unique at the hotel which we have not seen in Nepal. Food was of the highest quality, and we were thoroughly satisfied with dinner and particularly the wide range of options available on the breakfast buffet, from nepali classics such as Sel Roti and Puri to modern cuisine such as Masala Omelette and Sausage & Bacon. Truly a stay to remember and we have already recommended it to our friends and family and will definitely come back to stay here again!! Extremely wonderful hotel 15 minutes walk from the airport. Everything was sparkling clean, comfortable, and I always felt well taken care of. The gym is well stocked and has a great view of the city. Breakfast was another highlight and included many delicious Nepalese, Indian, and Western foods. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind, helping me call taxis for a cheaper fare than the tourist rip off price, and they also helped me store my luggage overnight while I went on a yoga retreat. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!

The hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy. The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped. The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try. Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.

Excellent location, within walking distance to the Thamel area. It's close enough to be convenient but far enough to be quiet. We were offered warm drinks during check-in, which was a nice touch, especially in winter. The room was very clean and quiet, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared a cake for us. The laundry service was also very convenient and efficient. All the staff were very helpful. The gentleman who helped with our luggage even assisted us in identifying our car by its license plate (as all license plates here use Arabic numerals), and the front desk staff helped us book bus tickets.

A most excellent stay at Aloft - great, friendly staff and a location that puts you in the middle of Thamel for shopping or laundry after a trek. I must say that I had one of my best sleep in any hotel at Aloft! Can’t really explain it because I am extremely picky with pillow, room temperature etc. But it just worked so well for me! I will look forward to returning for my next trip back to Nepal!

Clean and nice hotel but the windows don't open. It was quite stuffy and unbearable. I applied for cancellation at the hotel, but I was told that I couldn't do it even before the cancellation time, so I had no choice but to stay ... I was told that there was a balcony in other rooms. I've been paying more than 18000. I wanted to cancel once and rebuild the room, but it didn't come true. It was a disappointing trip because I paid a lot of money. It is a pity that the cooperation between the hotel and the site is not functioning at all.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

This hotel is quite good, very new, and has a swimming pool with an excellent environment. The room service is great, always available when called. However, the breakfast is very average, comparable to what you'd find in a basic domestic setting. But for just over 500 RMB, it's not expensive, so I recommend staying here. There aren't many food options nearby, and it's mostly a local residential area, but the overall environment is still very pleasant. There's also a gym, and the rooftop bar is particularly relaxing, being an open-air terrace.
