Rydges Kalgoorlie, an EVT hotel

We had a lovely big airy room with nice decor and a comfy king size bed. Everything was nice and clean although I think the toiletries should be brand new, not leftovers with barely anything in them from the previous guests. The massive spa bath was a highlight as it was the perfect size for 2 tall people! Our check in was delayed and because the receptionist was unable to get in contact with housekeeping to ensure our room was clean, he had to walk there himself to check. Obviously it wasn’t ready as we then had to wait another 10 minutes before we were finally able to check in. This wasn’t the receptionists fault, I think the hotel was short staffed.

We stayed one night on our way home to the Kimberley. The gentleman at check-in was very helpful. The amenities are clean and modern. My only gripe is, as I was getting out of the car to return the swipecard. The gardener/maintenance man had a leaf blower, he blew dust and leaves straight in my face!!! He the proceeded to blow dust and crap all over the car!!! Surely he could have turned the blower off for 30 seconds or moved to another spot.

The caravan park was fine in terms of facilities and layout. The miners dining hall was excellent value for our 'all you can eat' dinner meal with cheery staff looking after the workers. The highlight of our stay was the welcome by Jodie and the other reception team with great ideas regarding what to see and do in Kalgoorlie.

Location: a little far away from the town centre of Kalgoorlie but it doesn’t really matter if you have a car with you Rooms: overall the room was clean and well maintained. air conditioner is quite noisy but it didn’t disturb my sleep after a long and tiring day. water pressure at the bathroom is fine too. Breakfast: complimentary breakfast provided- with a range of hot and cold meals- pleasantly surprised that hot food was available. Overall a good value motel, would recommend this place for a no frills / short stay.
Quest Yelverton Kalgoorlie

As indicated in the title, my sister and I have stayed at the Quest Yelverton on previous occasions and keep coming back for many reasons, which were also applicable for our most recent stay. The two bedroom apartment was very clean and spacious, and the beds are some of the comfiest I've ever slept in. The bamboo topper was bliss. The apartment was well appointed and had a good layout, although the cupboards were positioned at such a height, it was a little tricky to access some crockery and glasses. This was the only minor down side. Staff were lovely, efficient and very helpful, and the location of the Quest Yelverton is perfect, with the town centre, and all its attractions, just around the corner. The grounds were also tidy, and even though it was too cold for a dip, the pool looked well maintained and inviting. When we next return to our birthplace, to visit our relatives and reacquaint ourselves with our history, we will definitely stay at the Quest Yelverton again.
Quality Inn Railway Motel

Accommodation layout was ideal for 3 adults with 2 bedrooms and additional toilet downstairs. Outdoor clothes line in enclosed area at rear of apartment was an added bonus together with provided washer and dryer. Location is the major attraction and it is an short and easy walk to main street. Experienced Wi Fi issues. Initially informed by reception that they were not aware of any problems but the following day the response was that the server had gone down and they were working to have it rectified. Room was serviced daily during our 3 night stay and plenty of coffee and toiletries provided. Defrosting of fridge needs attention, noisy plumbing noises from shower and internal stairs creak and groan when in use. Linen hand towel provided for kitchen in lieu of a tea towel and only a small number of hangers for clothes were available.
