UN ASTICOT A MOUCHE DANS MA VIANDE Attrape touriste Bonjour, je ne commenterai que la partie restaurant car je n'ai pas séjourné dans cet hôtel. Moi et mon compagnon avons réservé une table pour deux à midi donc en début de service, attente extrêmement longue nous sommes partis 3h30 après, avec entrée plat dessert. Mon compagnon a trouvé dans son plat, un ver (souris d'agneau). Un asticot dans sa viande il n'a donc pas consommé son plat. Ayant retourné l'assiette en cuisine pour des explications on nous a dit que c'était le thym de ce matin, alors compréhensible mais du coup non rincé ? Prix et qualité non alignés. Trop élevé, un restaurant qui se veut semi-gastro, qui se veut d'un certain luxe car dans un certain prix on s'attend à un minimum de gamme, aucun geste commercial de la part de la chef de rang n'est fait, nous avons donc dû payé une viande véreuse. En compensation elle nous offre le café, une blague. Etant un couple jeune et en tenue dans randonnée car à Provins, je pense qu'elle nous a simplement snobé, après avoir rappelé et mis un avis négatif elle a à ce moment-là décidée de nous rembourser si on enlevait le commentaire. Pas folle la guêpe. Nous enlevons notre commentaire et 2 semaines après nous ne sommes toujours pas remboursés donc on nous a doublement arnaquer ce jour là. Et pour commenter la cuisine je ne vous le conseille absolument pas les places sont chers sont fade, la pièce viande sèche. Les entrées sans goût, et les deserts tout fait, ça fait du mal au porte-monnaie alors certes le cadre est très beau la terrasse est top mais ça ne justifie en aucun cas le prix ni l'arrogance du service.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights, taking Bus 9B(2E ea) 1km from the Provins Station and arriving at 1PM. A smiling receptionist was quick to confirm our prepaid room and provide our key card. We took their lone elevator up to the 3rd floor. Room #38, located in the back, was nicely sized with a very comfortable king bed, desk with coffee/tea & water, charging outlets and an opening window to the upper town’s 12th C Cesar tower and Collegiate church. The toilet was separated from the sink/towel warmer/shower room by a small closet with hangers, robes & safe. The nice TV included Bloomberg Europe in English. With ample nearby cafes, we declined the 15E each lobby breakfast. This quiet hotel was 180m from the lower town’s large Monoprix and 800m from the upper town’s UNESCO Caesar Keep.

Pros: The room was clean (apart from a small paper under the bed and stained cushions on the bed), the house is located in the medieval city and everything is done on foot, convenient. Cons: Unwelcoming staff (good humor, smile, where are they?), in a hurry to show you your room and leave. Then there was a problem with the air conditioning, a bad adjustment which caused it to not work in the other apartments of the house. A member of hotel staff came knocking on our bedroom door and locked the door before we had time to answer anything (probably in a hurry to solve the air conditioning problem but where is respect?!) Then, he gave us evasive explanations about the air conditioning (that all the air conditioning units of the different apartments had to be regulated in the same way etc.), unclear explanations. So we were cold (air conditioning set at 18°C), slept badly and had back pain the next morning (bad mattresses and bad pillows), we won't be back. I forgot, the different switches are not arranged logically, so we do not know what they correspond to at first. In short, despite the good geographical location of the Residence, I do not recommend this one, 145€ for one night, the quality/price is not there.
