I’m a kiwi girl travelling through the Hunan province for the first time and I am so glad I chose this accommodation! I keep telling everyone to go here because it was incredible! The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay. They’ll pick you up from the train station, carry your bags through the cobblestone streets and upstairs to your room. They took me to the evening performances, brought me snacks and recommended restaurants. When the restaurant didn’t have cocktails, the staff went back to the hotel to make me a cocktail!!! The location was divine and the view overlooking the waterfall and town took my breath away. The amenities were incredible also, everything was up to date and could be voice activated. My only area of improvement was the hole in the skirting by the bathroom and a cockroach crawled out of there but I would 100% go back again!!
It was my first time to come to Tongcheng Hot Springs and I felt very comfortable staying here. I have been to so many hot spring hotels and still think this one is really great. The best thing here is that the service level is really considerate and comparable to that of peers. This time, my friend was not feeling well, and Xiao Wen at the front desk helped prepare brown sugar ginger water and delivered it directly to our room. I was very hungry after taking a hot spring bath at night, so the takeaway I ordered was delivered to my room.
We were helped with our luggage during check-in and check-out, and we were asked if we needed a late check-out. The whole stay experience was really good.
The hotel breakfast is also good, with a wide variety, especially the rice noodles are delicious.
Although the room is decorated in a retro style, the bed is big and very comfortable. The hotel is very close to the hot spring, on the first floor of the building where we live, so it's no problem even if the weather is cold.
We will definitely stay here next time we visit!
I'm still on my way home, but I had to write this review right away. This hotel was such a pleasant surprise on our trip! It deserves a five-star rating for its ambiance, facilities, service, and value for money. Firstly, the surroundings are quiet and beautiful, with the Wangcun Wooden Archway and the Geological Park Museum right across the street. The rooms are quite spacious, with corner floor-to-ceiling windows and even a tea set on a large wooden table. Of course, the hotel isn't directly inside the scenic area, but that also means you avoid the noisy crowds, the sound of rushing water, and having to drag your luggage over cobblestone paths. The hotel provides a shuttle service to and from the scenic area. This brings me to the excellent service: we followed the itinerary and schedule recommended by the staff, and after watching the last show, even before we contacted them, we received a message asking where we were so they could pick us up. Such proactive service deserves a big thumbs up! Finally, the private photo spots recommended by the hotel allowed us to avoid the crowds and enjoy the stunning waterfall scenery.

The environment is great, and I had a very comfortable stay. I originally booked it for its location, which is super convenient for getting around and shopping. The hotel's facilities are also excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time. I absolutely loved the pool; it seems like other hotels don't even have one!
If you're looking for a peaceful yet convenient retreat in Fenghuang Ancient Town, the Fenghuang Wonderland Wyndham Grand Hot Spring Resort is absolutely a top-tier choice. Tucked away at the foot of Mount Nanhua, this hotel seamlessly blends mountain views, the ancient town, and hot springs into every moment of your stay, making it perfect for both couples and families.
The location is truly a stroke of genius. Built into the mountainside and surrounded by forest, it's just a 5-minute walk to the edge of the ancient town. This means you can avoid the hustle and bustle of the cobblestone streets while still being able to immerse yourself in the charm of the stilt houses and Tuojiang River whenever you wish. From your room's balcony, you can glimpse the ancient town's grey tiled roofs amidst the lush green mountains, and at night, you'll see the reflections of the riverside lights on the Tuojiang River – a perfect fusion of tranquility and splendor. For those driving, there's free parking and charging stations. Guests arriving by high-speed rail can enjoy a scheduled shuttle service, so you won't have to worry about dragging your luggage around.
The hot springs are undoubtedly the heart and soul of this hotel. There are 68 indoor and outdoor pools, each with its unique character, built to integrate with the mountainous terrain. The fluorine-rich metasilicic acid hot spring water, sourced from 1800 meters deep, leaves your skin feeling exceptionally smooth and comfortable. Unique and beneficial herbal baths like the Miao medicine soup and angelica pools are available, while the popular glass pool and infinity pool are perfect for photo opportunities. Imagine soaking in the pool at dusk, watching the sunset paint the mountain peaks red, or gazing at the starry sky at night – it's so relaxing you won't want to leave. When you're tired from soaking, you can head to the rest area for complimentary snacks, fruit, and hot drinks to completely unwind.
The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety, covering both Chinese and Western options. Freshly prepared Xiangxi rice noodles with flavorful toppings, paired with cartoon-shaped steamed buns and fresh fruit, ensure that both adults and children will have a satisfying meal.
It was originally a 3.5-hour drive from Guangzhou to Mangshan, but during the Spring Festival, the traffic jam took 6 hours. The hotel is just at the west gate of Mangshan. It was originally said that we could check in at 3 o'clock, but we called at 2 o'clock and found that there were rooms available for check-in. The lobby is very grand, and the check-in was very fast. The room is super big, with two 1.35-meter beds, a sofa, and a desk, which is very convenient for children to do homework. It is enough for a family of four. There are many hot spring pools, and the best one is the outdoor infinity pool. The water temperature is 42.8℃, which is not cold at all. It is very photogenic. The whole family is very satisfied, and it is worth it!
This hotel is located in a prime area, making travel incredibly convenient. What's truly amazing is how it cleverly avoids the hustle and bustle, tucked away in a peaceful spot. It truly embodies 'bustling outside, serene inside.' It's just a few minutes' walk to major attractions and food streets, so you can easily return for a rest whenever you get tired, which makes for an excellent experience. The service here is the hotel's soul! From the front desk to room service, every staff member is smiling, warm, and attentive. The bedding is top-notch, feeling like you're wrapped in clouds, guaranteeing a dreamless sleep until morning. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, all facilities are smart, and the hot water is stable with excellent pressure, washing away the day's fatigue. Even the small details are perfectly executed, such as the complimentary mini-bar and the exceptionally soundproof windows, ensuring absolute quiet and privacy.
The hotel room was spacious and comfortable, with an excellent bed, we slept really well. The large window also brought in plenty of natural light. The location is excellent, and the staff were very attentive. They even called us in advance to confirm our arrival time and ask if we needed any assistance. Since the hotel is in a pedestrian area, they kindly carried our bags from the car and even took us to the train station.
The host gave us tips on what to do in the city and even accompanied us. The hotel also has a private viewpoint overlooking the waterfall. He recommended some restaurants and bars as well, and the one we tried was good.
The hotel is located within the Dehang Miao Village scenic area. From the moment we placed our reservation, the front desk lady immediately contacted us and created a group chat. She also purchased tickets for the village in advance and met us at the entrance, carrying our luggage directly to our room. The moment we entered the room, we were completely captivated. The view from the balcony was like a painting: the bamboo forest, stream, and wooden buildings were breathtaking. The cleanliness was incredibly reassuring. The bedding, bathroom, and every nook were immaculately clean. The room also featured exquisite Miao embroidery and Miao silver. The most amazing thing was the service. The hotel delivered breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening sweet soup to the room, which was incredibly thoughtful. This trip to Xiangxi was truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel!

GGuest UserOur stay here was absolutely fantastic! The host offered incredibly attentive and personalized service, looking after us meticulously from check-in to check-out, which made us feel truly cared for and welcome. Our room was spacious and comfortable, tastefully decorated to create a cozy ambiance, and fully equipped with all necessary amenities, making our stay incredibly relaxing. The host is also an excellent cook; the meals they prepared were both delicious and authentic, adding so much joy and flavor to our trip.
GGuest UserI came to this treasure hotel on the last day of the May Day holiday. It was really full of surprises. The beautiful sisters at the front desk of the hotel provided excellent and thoughtful service! Every time I passed by, I was proactive and greeted with a sweet smile. The breakfast dishes were also very rich! In summary, this is a very suitable hotel for vacation 🏖️Lie down, come here, you can get rid of all the class smell! The scenery is beautiful and pleasant, the air is fresh, the whole resort is a natural oxygen bar, the body and mind are relaxed, you can leisurely watch the sunrise and sunset in the beautiful Yunpan Mountain 🌅 The scenery is amazing! The SPA recommended by the beautiful sister at the front desk is also very good, professional Thai massage ~ and it is also a Thai technician, super satisfactory stay experience
HHongyiDriving solo from Guizhou back to Beijing, I passed through Zhangjiajie and chose this guesthouse by chance. As we ascended the winding mountain road, weaving through clouds and bamboo forests, we finally reached a secluded mountaintop. Opening the window, I was greeted by towering peaks and dazzling white clouds, and my breath suddenly felt free and open. The landlady, a familiar figure from the mountains, was warm and attentive, chatting about many similar life experiences. Having weathered many storms and experienced the ups and downs of life, her smile still held a warmth and innocence. In the mornings, she would buy the freshest seasonal produce: dew-soaked greens, stream fish, plump mushrooms, and rare bee pupae. During the day, I'd gaze at the mountains from my balcony, and in the evening, I'd sit in the courtyard, basking in the sunset, drinking beer and enjoying delicious food. Days like these felt like they were in slow motion, and even time seemed to soften. There is no need to chase the scenery, just be a mountain visitor with peace of mind. When you leave, you will find that you have already set your heart on this pure land. You only hope to come back next time to continue the gentle encounter with the mountains, food and people.
Nnomo.lovWe really liked the hotel. It had a simple yet elegant design in the rooms and throughout. When we arrived, they helped us with our bags, which was a nice start.
The room was super comfortable, and they even had comfy robes, slippers, and some tasty snacks. They also provided tea sets for a nice tea time. The balcony had a great view of the mountains, making it a lovely place to relax.
The hotel staff were great, always friendly and helpful. They made our stay really special. The breakfast was delicious, and they helped us with travel and airport taxis, which made things easy.
Our stay was fantastic, with stunning views and top-notch service. The hotel's peaceful location away from the city was quiet and relaxing. They had a car service that made getting around easy and convenient.

AAlicia yangThis B&B offers a breathtaking view at every turn, a truly charming experience. Mr. Shen Congwen would have loved this courtyard, complete with flowers, trees, bamboo, and beautiful views. The rooms are also beautifully decorated.
The housekeeper sent us a route map the day before and monitored our progress. Electric cars provided shuttles to the entrance of Fenghuang Ancient Town, offering a tranquil escape amidst the bustle. There's even a swimming pool in the courtyard, which the children loved.
The rice noodles for breakfast were also delicious, as was the pickled radish.
The downsides:
1. The water pressure in the shower was too low. Although the housekeeper promptly addressed it, I was still not entirely satisfied. There was also a foul odor in the bathroom, and there were no windows for ventilation.
2. The soft furnishings in the room could be improved, such as adding fragrances or placing some of Mr. Shen's books on the sideboard.

Xxion****I rarely write reviews, but this stay was so good!
After visiting the Mangshan Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area, we checked into this characteristic homestay in Mangshan. In addition to rooms with spacious balconies, the B&B also provides guests with uniquely designed stand-alone wooden houses to choose from. We finally chose a cabin called ”Wangshan”, where you can see the distant mountain scenery and the beautiful sunset even when lying in bed.
There is a Japanese pavilion garden outside the cabin, and it is equipped with an outdoor bathtub. Here, we fully enjoy the comfort and relaxation brought by the hot spring water, and our body and mind feel relaxed and happy.
There is also a small bamboo forest here, where guests can enjoy a leisurely time while appreciating the rural scenery and sipping coffee or tea. Unfortunately the weather was a bit cold and we were unable to enjoy it.
There is a leisure space here where guests can enjoy tea, chat or have a meal. In the evening, we ordered some farm dishes here, including steamed fish, braised duck and stir-fried vegetables. They were very delicious and made us feel like we were back home.
At night, the light pollution here is not too great, and my family and I can clearly appreciate the stars twinkling in the night sky, adding a touch of romance and mystery to our journey.
