We stayed at the Harmona Resort in Zhangjiajie and overall had a wonderful experience.
The service was outstanding – the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. Special thanks to Cherry and Niki, who went above and beyond: they arranged transportation for us, including airport pick-up and rides to nearby attractions, and always greeted us with kindness and professionalism. Their excellent service truly deserves five stars.
The hotel is conveniently located between the two main towns in the area. It features a beautiful pool and the landscaping is especially impressive, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.
The only minor downside is that the hotel feels a bit dated – with a light renovation, it could easily elevate to an even higher level.
Overall, a great hotel with exceptional service and a team that made our stay very enjoyable.
The rooms were excellent. The service was incredibly thoughtful. They offered complimentary transfers to/from both the high-speed rail station and Furong Ancient Town, and during check-in, staff even helped carry our luggage all the way to our room door.
Afternoon tea was a lovely touch, and the swimming pool was fantastic. In the evenings, you can also enjoy their fireside tea ceremony and hot springs – definitely worth trying!
The hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the Xiangxi World Geopark Museum. You can easily scan a QR code at the entrance to reserve your spot and enter. It's definitely worth a visit.
Great place to stay in Furong Town! I’m not a fan of “inn-style” rooms so it was really nice to find a hotel in the town where the rooms were modern, clean and huge. I was picked up and dropped off at the train station and they even brought me some amazing noodles in the morning for breakfast before my early flight. It’s in a really great location too making it easy to get to and from it. I didn’t choose a couple other options bc I had two pieces of luggage and I didn’t want to haul them up/down tons of steps in town. Found a nice restaurant on the other side of the river with amazing views of the waterfall for pictures and videos. And then I got to sleep peacefully at the hotel. (Also, the rooms have a face recognition software which I thought was super cool. As well as the smart projector and assistant in the room) definitely recommend!
A magical experience nestled in a waterfall wonderland – An in-depth look at the Twelve Cities Waterfall View Hotel in Furong Town
If Furong Town in western Hunan is a thousand-year-old town perched on a waterfall, then this hotel makes waterfall viewing a central feature of every guest room.
From the balcony, you can gaze upon the breathtaking double-tiered waterfall, shimmering in neon light into a shimmering purple wonderland at night. The roaring waters resemble a natural symphony, while the twinkling lights of the stilt houses on the opposite bank create a sense of being transported into the secret realm of western Hunan described by Shen Congwen. The hotel's design perfectly blends Tujia charm with modern comfort. The wooden decor imbues the air with the refreshing aroma of the mountains and forests, and the rooms are fully equipped. Surrounded by such breathtaking views, even falling asleep becomes a gentle conversation with nature.
Awake to the sound of the waterfall in the morning, and open the door to the humid mountain air brimming with negative oxygen ions. At night, watch the play of light and shadow on the waterfall as you drift to the sound of water. This experience of ”living at the heart of the scenery” makes the beauty of Furong Town more than just a photo opportunity, but an immersive memory. If you also want to turn your ”dream of hanging on the waterfall” into reality, this hotel is definitely the best solution to understand Furong Town.
As a newly opened hotel this year, it is quite satisfactory overall.
Key praise points: 1. The front desk service is good. Guide us to park and introduce hotel facilities. 2. Three washing machines in the laundry room and three dryers. High efficiency. The hotel washing and drying equipment that happened to be a few days ago was not good, and yesterday the speed to solve the clothes problem was early to rest. 3. After check-out, the front desk presented a bag of local special souvenirs, feeling the sincerity of the hotel. 4. All TV content in the room is free to watch. The children watched very happily.
Hygienic: I didn't see any stains, it's okay
One thing that needs to be improved: there are fewer types of breakfast
One thing to give feedback: the air conditioning noise in the room is a bit loud. After setting the temperature, the air conditioner starts to work and cools down to the set temperature and stops working. After heating up, it starts to work and cool down, resulting in intermittent machine working noise.
This is because one of the peers sleeps lightly and is sensitive to noise when sleeping. (But I don't feel it, I sleep well)
Overall, it is still flawed, I hope the hotel will do better and better.

The hotel's open-air garden environment is great, the room is very clean, and it is very comfortable to chat with friends in the open-air garden at night. The projection equipment in the room works very well, and the picture quality and sound quality are very clear. The advice and guide service for our one-day tour in Zhangjiajie was very attentive and practical, which saved us a lot of detours. I highly recommend this hotel
Nestled in a tranquil and secluded spot, this hotel is an ideal retreat for a relaxing getaway. It's truly a top-tier establishment in Fenghuang; both the decor and service are absolutely impeccable. The hotel proactively arranged a driver to pick us up from the high-speed rail station, and we arrived in about 15 minutes. Upon learning we were a family, they thoughtfully prepared a themed family room for us in advance. It was coincidentally Peppa Pig themed, which matched my daughter's zodiac animal – how incredibly thoughtful! The hotel boasts a direct path leading down to the ancient town; a mere 5-minute walk brings you right to the riverside. This is absolutely fantastic, as it saves you the hassle of driving into town. Breakfast offered a wide array of choices, and we also took the opportunity to try out the hot springs. The views from there are absolutely stunning, offering a panoramic overlook of Fenghuang Ancient Town's night scenery. It's definitely a must-visit spot!
It was originally a 3.5-hour drive from Guangzhou to Mangshan, but during the Spring Festival, the traffic jam took 6 hours. The hotel is just at the west gate of Mangshan. It was originally said that we could check in at 3 o'clock, but we called at 2 o'clock and found that there were rooms available for check-in. The lobby is very grand, and the check-in was very fast. The room is super big, with two 1.35-meter beds, a sofa, and a desk, which is very convenient for children to do homework. It is enough for a family of four. There are many hot spring pools, and the best one is the outdoor infinity pool. The water temperature is 42.8℃, which is not cold at all. It is very photogenic. The whole family is very satisfied, and it is worth it!
The service was beyond excellent. I would rate 5 stars but the room was a smoking room and we traveled with a child. It's not a big deal, I would still recommend this place, the service more than makes up for it
It was my first time to come to Tongcheng Hot Springs and I felt very comfortable staying here. I have been to so many hot spring hotels and still think this one is really great. The best thing here is that the service level is really considerate and comparable to that of peers. This time, my friend was not feeling well, and Xiao Wen at the front desk helped prepare brown sugar ginger water and delivered it directly to our room. I was very hungry after taking a hot spring bath at night, so the takeaway I ordered was delivered to my room.
We were helped with our luggage during check-in and check-out, and we were asked if we needed a late check-out. The whole stay experience was really good.
The hotel breakfast is also good, with a wide variety, especially the rice noodles are delicious.
Although the room is decorated in a retro style, the bed is big and very comfortable. The hotel is very close to the hot spring, on the first floor of the building where we live, so it's no problem even if the weather is cold.
We will definitely stay here next time we visit!

GGuest UserOur stay here was absolutely fantastic! The host offered incredibly attentive and personalized service, looking after us meticulously from check-in to check-out, which made us feel truly cared for and welcome. Our room was spacious and comfortable, tastefully decorated to create a cozy ambiance, and fully equipped with all necessary amenities, making our stay incredibly relaxing. The host is also an excellent cook; the meals they prepared were both delicious and authentic, adding so much joy and flavor to our trip.
GGuest UserCheck-in lady is really bad. She is so confused with using my credit card for authorisation. She was not welcoming at all. Very very stupid person. I asked her many times that i am first time here, and what can i do here? She just said to take a look at the map. I was not happy at all. She has no heart to make my stay in Taoyuan happy. However, the next day, lucky for me, two interns were very nice to show me around the whole estate. They were very patient with me, and my feelings changed about Taoyuan. I loved it. Then today, when I check-out, to my surprise, the same lady at the checkout again. That stupid person screwed up my check out and did bot return my authorisation credit to my credit card. She called me to say that the authorisation failed when i first checked in. Oh my god. This is really impossible! What made me angry was that she took ¥0.01. This give me problem with my credit card company. This stupid person make me hate my trip to your property. Beginning and end!
TTangoBravoThis hotel is great and it’s highly suggested to everyone who wants to have a unique and relaxing experience in Zhangjiajie. The hotel is immersed in the nature and only surrounded by mountains and forests. Yet, it’s in a convenient location to get to the National Park and main attractions. The facilities are in good shape and the room is very big and bright.
But the most fantastic thing is the host and the hotel manager. A special thanks goes to Riva, the hotel manager, she made our trip special and memorable. She made us feel at home in the mountains and always tried to accommodate our requests in a timely, kind and pro-active manner.
Also thank you to the owner Laura whose English and quickness in responding made our communication smooth and constructive. We will definitely visit here again if we have a chance. Thank you again for the great stay!

Nnomo.lovWe really liked the hotel. It had a simple yet elegant design in the rooms and throughout. When we arrived, they helped us with our bags, which was a nice start.
The room was super comfortable, and they even had comfy robes, slippers, and some tasty snacks. They also provided tea sets for a nice tea time. The balcony had a great view of the mountains, making it a lovely place to relax.
The hotel staff were great, always friendly and helpful. They made our stay really special. The breakfast was delicious, and they helped us with travel and airport taxis, which made things easy.
Our stay was fantastic, with stunning views and top-notch service. The hotel's peaceful location away from the city was quiet and relaxing. They had a car service that made getting around easy and convenient.

AAlicia yangThis B&B offers a breathtaking view at every turn, a truly charming experience. Mr. Shen Congwen would have loved this courtyard, complete with flowers, trees, bamboo, and beautiful views. The rooms are also beautifully decorated.
The housekeeper sent us a route map the day before and monitored our progress. Electric cars provided shuttles to the entrance of Fenghuang Ancient Town, offering a tranquil escape amidst the bustle. There's even a swimming pool in the courtyard, which the children loved.
The rice noodles for breakfast were also delicious, as was the pickled radish.
The downsides:
1. The water pressure in the shower was too low. Although the housekeeper promptly addressed it, I was still not entirely satisfied. There was also a foul odor in the bathroom, and there were no windows for ventilation.
2. The soft furnishings in the room could be improved, such as adding fragrances or placing some of Mr. Shen's books on the sideboard.
