The hotel is excellent, and the service is incredibly warm and welcoming. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a high-end yet minimalist style, making them very comfortable. The bedding quality is superb, just like at home – soft and gentle on the skin. Every day, the lovely ladies at the front desk would bring us a fruit platter with oranges, apples, pears, and even pepino melons. The surrounding area is also beautiful; Daguang Park is right across the street from the hotel, teeming with seagulls. Within a 3km radius, there's Nanya Fengqing No.1 City, a large shopping mall, making dining and shopping very convenient.
Our stay in this luxury bedroom suite was a memorable experience, largely due to the exceptional accommodations.
The suite itself was nothing short of spectacular—incredibly spacious and warmly appointed. The layout was impeccably designed, featuring a foyer, a living area, a comfortable bedroom, and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom was a highlight, with a separate water closet, a vanity area with a deep-soaking bathtub, and a separate, spacious double shower room. The private outdoor sitting area that led to a huge, rejuvenating hot spring was the crown jewel of the suite.
It's important to note the location within the Dong Feng Yun Scenic Area. A significant benefit is that the hotel provides the scenic area entrance ticket and transport to and from the gate, which is excellent. However, its setting means it is quite far from Jianshui's Old Town and other key locations. This can be inconvenient when you wish to visit other spots or find dining options outside the hotel.
A major logistical issue we encountered was with return trips. When trying to get back to the hotel, most taxi drivers requested a top-up payment, as they would have to return to the city center without a passenger.
Service at the hotel was generally good; the staff were prompt and attentive upon our arrival and throughout our stay. However, we noted a noticeable drop in attentiveness during the checkout process.
A minor point to note is the centralized A/C system, which meant we couldn't control the room temperature individually. That said, the provision of a standing fan was a thoughtful and effective solution.
The food at the hotel's restaurant was acceptable, though it didn't quite match the exceptional standard of the suite itself.
Overall, this is a truly magnificent property for the space and privacy it offers, but its remote location requires careful planning and extra budget for transportation.

Starting from good things. Room with private hot spring was nice and clean and bed and bed linen was great. Despite hot spring pool was leaking and needed to refill constantly. But no problem with that if water supply is turned on and you can operate yourself with valves. Hotel staff recommended many places for eating outside. Thanks for that!
We arrived before check in time and asked to spend our time near the pool area which was not problem. When I was looking for toilet then lady from shop told to me that I should go outside the territory and use toilet which is for camper van people. And it was not toilet but old school ditch. Fortunately it was cleaned.
Lot of things are in real life different than in pictures what you can find in web pages. Many hot springs was closed, on site was not operating restaurants and bars. Only you can order food from app or go outside. Area is under the airplanes take off route that means in daytime lot of noise.
About 6pm domestic water supply was turned off and situation lasted until our leaving next day about 11am. Hotel staff wrote that if you want to use toilet I should let them know and they will find a solution. No shower or washing. Breakfast was simple. In the breakfast area is operational coffee machine but for some reason lady behind the table told that not possible and drink cold pre brewed ice coffee? I hope that it’s not connected with lack of water supply. Machine may be filled with purified bottle water not local tap water.

Staying at Pullman Lijiang during the off-season, I unexpectedly had a vacation experience that far exceeded my expectations.
First and foremost, the service was outstanding. From check-in to check-out, all the staff were friendly and attentive. The front desk was warm and professional, and I was lucky enough to get an upgrade to a standalone villa during the off-season. The space was enormous, and this pleasant surprise started the trip off on a great note.
The villa was incredibly comfortable! The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent, making it effortless to wash away any fatigue. What surprised me most was the huge vanity desk – it's an absolute perfect design for women, with plenty of space for makeup and skincare. It really enhanced the whole experience. The underfloor heating worked wonderfully at night, keeping the room toasty warm, which was especially comforting during Lijiang's winter.
The hotel itself is like a large park, with beautifully designed garden landscapes. It was very pleasant to stroll around the grounds.
I must particularly praise the restaurant! The breakfast selection was rich, with flavorful freshly cooked noodles, tender scrambled eggs, and delicious local yogurt. Even the coffee exceeded expectations – it was far beyond standard hotel quality. On Christmas Eve, I wanted to have a drink, and the hotel thoughtfully delivered wine glasses, a small detail that truly touched me.
Overall, this is a resort hotel with excellent service, environment, and facilities. Coming during the off-season, the value for money is especially high. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Lijiang.

Right by the Starlight Night Market! Riverside views and sunset from your bed! The rice noodle breakfast is amazing!
This newly discovered hotel in Xishuangbanna is a true gem! It's right next to the Starlight Night Market, so a right turn out the door leads straight to all the buzz, and when you return, it's immediately peaceful. The location is incredibly convenient!
Our room was super spacious, with an amazing sense of design! The floor-to-ceiling window offered direct views of the sunset over the river. We enjoyed the river views by day and the twinkling lights of the night market after dark – it felt like living inside a painting! 🖼️
I have to rave about the hotel breakfast! 🍜 Especially the freshly prepared rice noodles; the broth is rich and savory, and you can add as many toppings as you like. It truly woke up my soul every morning! The other pastries and dishes were also plentiful and thoughtfully prepared.
The environment feels more like a tropical rainforest garden, with greenery everywhere. The staff are all smiling and incredibly accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean; you wouldn't even hesitate to walk barefoot!
If you're coming to Xishuangbanna and want a hotel with an unbeatable location, comfortable stay, delicious food, and a good night's sleep, this is definitely the one to choose! ✨
🏨 Right next to the Starlight Night Market, just a few minutes' walk away.
The service is good. There is a guy at the door who takes the luggage and greets you with a smile. The breakfast is also very rich. I especially like the taste of pig intestine noodles. It feels very close to nature to have breakfast outdoors outside the restaurant. I will come again if I have the chance.

Stepping into the courtyard, the blue tiles and white walls, reflected by the gentle flow of water around wooden corridors, immediately strike you. The charm of traditional Naxi architecture blends with modern minimalist design, creating a unique and delicate atmosphere. Every photo you take here turns out to be a stunning, naturally filtered shot.
The details in the room are truly captivating. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows bring the scenery of distant mountains and nearby alleys right into your space. You wake up to the morning sun and fall asleep to the soft glow of the ancient town at night. The custom-made cotton and linen bedding is soft and gentle on the skin, and the smart devices and thermostatic shower in the bathroom instantly melt away any travel fatigue.
My favorite spot is the cafe on the second floor, perfect for an afternoon tea.
The hotel's service is incredibly thoughtful. In the morning, they offer a special, authentic, and delicious rice noodle breakfast! They even provide a late-night snack; when we were out in the evening, the staff thoughtfully prepared a sweet white fungus soup for us.
This was the most relaxing and considerate part of my Lijiang trip.
The in-room amenities were surprisingly excellent. I had expected a hotel over a decade old to be quite run-down, but it was incredibly well-maintained. I originally booked this hotel for its convenient location for watching seagulls, but I was genuinely surprised by how fantastic the room facilities were. It was clean, elegant, and high-end – nothing like a hotel that's over ten years old. I had a very comfortable stay; the room was quite spacious, and it even had a balcony with views of greenery and the sunrise.
The hotel's dining was also superb. I tried the breakfast buffet, which was very rich and offered a wide variety of options, with both Chinese and Western dishes done exceptionally well. The hotel package I purchased also included an afternoon tea, which was equally lavish, excellent, and beautifully presented.
I'd like to thank my butler and the lady at the front desk. Even though she was busy checking in six foreigners at the time, she professionally and thoroughly explained all the check-in procedures, as well as details about the restaurant and afternoon tea. Since there was no bellhop available then, she personally escorted us to the lobby to find one and then accompanied us to our room.
The hotel is indeed very large, with a total of seven buildings, making it easy to get lost. Fortunately, the service here is truly top-notch. The bellhops and golf cart drivers were all very professional. They took excellent care of us during both check-in and check-out.
Among the five hotels we experienced during our Yunnan trip, we all agreed this was the standout!
1. Having stayed at numerous branded hotels, this was the first time we were met by a concierge right as we pulled into the parking lot. A fantastic touch!
2. There was a great selection of dining options; we opted for the restaurant/bar. Even at 9 PM, the food was absolutely delicious and fresh, with no compromise on quality.
3. It was a family member's birthday during our visit, and the hotel thoughtfully sent up a complimentary birthday cake!
The only point for improvement concerns the swimming pool. It was simultaneously open to external training classes, which meant it got quite crowded. As a result, the water quality was noticeably poor, appearing yellowish and cloudy.
I chose this place for my weekend getaway by Erhai Lake. The decor is full of exquisite details, and all the amenities are high-quality. The staff, from the lovely ladies at the front desk to the handsome guy on night duty, the auntie serving breakfast, and even the chef, were all incredibly thoughtful!
Seriously, from the moment we arrived in the afternoon, starting with afternoon tea, everything felt so warm and welcoming. The latte art for afternoon tea was meticulously crafted, with rich, creamy foam. The cakes even matched the room's decor – how amazing is that?! We also had tremella soup in the evening.
The rice noodles at breakfast were absolutely delicious! The accompanying whole grain staples included corn, pumpkin, sweet potato, tangyuan (glutinous rice balls), eggs, and bread. And the view? You get a panoramic vista of Erhai Lake! It's both serene and artistically vibrant!
I really think their official description is too modest! The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the toiletries, toilet, even the showerhead were all top-notch. The foot bath room even had a floor-to-ceiling window with an electric transparency function – that was a pleasant surprise! They had a Dyson hairdryer, wooden combs, and huge succulent potted plants. I'm so tired, I can't even praise them anymore. I have to complain again about their promotional video; it doesn't describe the place nearly as well as I just did. This place is truly worth coming back to for multiple vacations!

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

AAnggesangsongjiangShangri-La Impression Tianlu Hotel is nestled between Shika Snow Mountain and Napa Lake, where traditional ******* white buildings blend with snow-capped mountains and grasslands to form a breathtaking landscape. The highlight is the rooftop infinity hot spring, offering panoramic views of the plateau while you soak, though it can be quite windy in winter, so be prepared. The guest rooms combine ******* elements with modern amenities, featuring central heating to combat the high-altitude chill and soundproof windows for a peaceful night's sleep. The service is attentive, with paid shuttle services and customized itineraries available. Breakfast includes local specialties like highland barley cake. It offers great value for money during the off-season, but for scenic rooms during peak season, booking in advance is a must. This hotel is perfect for travelers seeking a unique experience, and having a car makes it even more convenient, as it's only a 10-minute drive from the ancient town. It's excellent, truly excellent. I stayed for 2 days and had a wonderful experience. The room even has a fireplace, which is a really nice touch.

SShuibeilideshayuAfter booking, a staff member called to ask about our check-in preferences and arranged the room accordingly. The room was very clean and tidy, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The hotel's location is excellent, with very convenient parking and lots of great food options nearby. It's also very close to the ancient city. We received complimentary welcome fruit upon arrival and a farewell gift when we checked out.
MM55355****Cangshan No. 1 is a hotel with advanced concepts. The management model is a team of butlers who create a feeling of home for guests and think of everything in front of them.
The environment is beautiful and beautiful, with swimming pools, white beaches, coconut trees... creating a different paradise.
Every employee has a strong sense of priority and their service attitude is excellent, gentle and comfortable. Not only did he take the initiative to inquire, but he also introduced the characteristics and customs of the Bai people in a very thoughtful way.
The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Each room has its own bathing pool, dry and wet are separated, and even the toilet is fully automatic. Very clean!
Breakfast and afternoon tea are richly prepared and have local characteristics. There is also a heart-warming evening sweet soup every night. My family and I felt that choosing Cangshan No. 1 for this trip was a great value!

MM349668****The new Bai residential complex at Dali Geothermal Park is absolutely stunning! The blue-tiled roofs, white walls, and ink-wash paintings, coupled with the 'three sides and a screen wall' courtyard layout, exude an ancient charm. The intricate wood carvings and screen wall decorations perfectly showcase Bai ethnic aesthetics. Each room comes with its own private hot spring tub, fed by natural geothermal water rich in trace elements. Soaking at night, with the rustling of reeds in the wind, is utterly relaxing for both body and mind. The service is attentive and thoughtful, and the facilities are comprehensive. You can experience the beauty of intangible cultural heritage architecture while enjoying the health benefits of hot springs – truly a treasure for a vacation!
MM647761****The room was incredibly clean, practically on the doorstep of Erhai Lake, with a balcony offering a stunning sea view.
The service was excellent. They provided luggage pick-up and drop-off, the front desk and butler were very friendly, and they even helped with laundry. Complimentary water and drinks were provided in the room. The breakfast offered a good variety, the environment was beautiful, and it was quiet at night. Coming during the off-season offered great value for money. They even gave out small gifts for Christmas, which was a thoughtful touch.
**Environment:** The room was exceptionally clean, virtually right on Erhai Lake, and the balcony had a fantastic sea view. Breakfast was varied, the surroundings were lovely, and it was peaceful at night. Visiting in the off-season provided excellent value for money. They even had little Christmas gifts, which was a very thoughtful gesture.
**Service:** The service was absolutely wonderful. They offered luggage transfer, the front desk and butler were super friendly, and they even assisted with laundry. Free water and beverages were supplied in the room.
**Cleanliness:** Clean and odor-free, the room walls were sparkling white.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very old. The bathhouse we stayed in reeked of mold, even the quilts.
Much of the furniture was damp and rotten. The tiles in the bathroom were broken and uneven. The toilet was an old-fashioned one, and the lid, despite being so old and broken, hadn't been replaced yet. It was already frayed and yellowed, which was a bit disgusting.
The washed stone pavement in the bathhouse area was also noticeably moldy. The wooden platform was rotten, and I almost fell when I moved the bench because there was a pit underneath.
The breakfast was very poor. There was basically nothing left, and it was all empty. The bread area was full of small flies.
The staff was very friendly.
It's a shame for a Banyan Tree hotel. It was the first time I stayed in such a shabby one, and everyone was very disappointed.
