This hotel truly blew me away! Firstly, it's located right next to the Dongfengyun Scenic Area, and the hotel offers a shuttle service that drops you off near the side entrance. Plus, the scenic area entrance tickets and sightseeing bus tickets are complimentary, which is super convenient. Secondly, the design of this hotel is incredibly photogenic! Whether it's the lobby, the reception areas, the restaurant, the pool, or the garden, each space has its own unique charm and is perfect for photos! Most importantly, the service is excellent and very attentive. The package even included a travel photoshoot. My stay here was fantastic! Highly recommend!
I booked a 76-square-meter apartment, and 76 is absolutely amazing!
Cleanliness: Satisfactory, no obvious unsanitary corners.
Service: Just average. No one helped with luggage, and the cups weren't changed during room service after my two-night stay.
Facilities: The hot spring was great, the swimming pool was huge, the breakfast was just average, and the mini-bar was all portable. They generously provided a lot of bottled water.
Summary: Suitable for families with children. 76 square meters is truly spacious! The airport transfer was in a large Mercedes-Benz van that could carry a lot of luggage. There's room for improvement in other areas.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with many hot spring pools and lots of trees, plus a variety of small animals. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and we could even project movies. There's also a small private courtyard outside for a personal hot spring bath, which was amazing. The front desk staff were very attentive and detailed in their service, which was excellent.
However, there was a minor flaw: there was no toilet paper holder in the restroom. The toilet paper was placed next to the sink outside the door, meaning you had to stand up to reach it, which was quite awkward.
The InterContinental Kunming is located in the beautiful Dianchi scenic area, boasting stunning surroundings and first-class facilities. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful. We had the 218 RMB set menu at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, and it was incredibly varied and excellent value for money. All in all, the InterContinental will definitely be our top choice next time we visit Kunming!

The hotel is located within the Huquan Eco-Park, and Building E is a short walk from the Banshan Hot Springs, just a few minutes away.
The hotel's decor is a bit old-fashioned, but it doesn't feel worn out, and the overall cleanliness is good. The family rooms, in particular, have children's beds with safety rails and tents, which is a great touch.
The service is also very friendly, and the breakfast area is pleasant with a good variety of options.
The surrounding environment is lovely, perfect for a refreshing and relaxing stroll in the morning or after a meal.
Staying at the hotel includes complimentary tickets to the Banshan Hot Springs, which offer a wide range of pools. We arrived after 9 PM, and it wasn't crowded at all.
Overall, a very pleasant experience.
The room was very nice and comfortable. We arrived at the hotel around 12:30 AM, and the receptionist was still waiting for us. The projector was great, the mattress was comfortable, and breakfast was provided, which was excellent. The service was also very warm and welcoming.
As for the foot bath tub, we probably didn't see it because we checked in so late.

With stunning Mekong River views and close proximity to the bustling Starry Night Market, this is truly the ideal way to experience Xishuangbanna!
The infinity pool on the negative first floor offers direct views of the Mekong River while you swim. Taking photos during sunset and at night here is simply breathtaking!
The entire room features smart voice control with 'Xiaodu' – adjusting the air conditioning or turning on the TV is just a command away. The mini-bar, branded bathroom fixtures, separate wet and dry areas, and even an indoor hot tub made our one-night stay incredibly comfortable!
Breakfast is available for an unlimited number of guests and the quality is superb! Whether you're a family or a group of friends, you'll save a fortune on a big meal.
Plus, there's personalized butler service from check-in to check-out, ensuring every need is met.
The room is clean and tidy. It's the first time I've seen sofa covers changed every time. The design style is very unique, the service attitude is also great, the luggage is transported, there is water and ice cream downstairs, the breakfast is also rich, and there is laundry service. The overall quality is absolutely first-class, you can rest assured to stay there, the swimming pool upstairs is very clean, you must go to cool down in the evening, you can see the Golden Pagoda and the Silver Pagoda upstairs, and it's perfect with some beer and ice cubes. It's convenient to go out and you can rent an electric car 🛵, it's very convenient to go anywhere, ride a few minutes later to have delicious barbecue, and come back to drink fresh watermelon juice, there is a small courtyard, a sand pool (with toys for children) and a bar downstairs, it's very charming, everyone must come when you go to Mangshi! It's really worth it!

The staff was enthusiastic and took the initiative to help with luggage, introduce us to local specialties, attractions, food, etc. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the night was very quiet and the bedding was very good. The hotel also had a free self-service laundry room. It was very convenient. The hot spring on the roof at night can eliminate the fatigue of the day. I choose this one for business trips here. The price is very high.

If you're staying in Gaozhuang, this hotel comes highly recommended. If you prioritize quality, stay in the West Tower. The East Tower is apartments. The location is excellent. While it's hard to get a taxi to the Botanical Garden, it's just a few minutes' walk to the bus stop for public transport. A big thank you to Xiaoyu at the front desk for her excellent service and for upgrading us to a river view room. From the balcony, you get the most perfect night view: the night market, bonfire party, and the Six Nations music stage. You can even stand on the balcony and join in the fun below! But when it's time to sleep, closing the window blocks out the noise completely. Early sleepers might find the river view rooms a bit noisy. My daughter said after staying here, she felt like the 1600 RMB we spent on the Atour Jingta Temple for the previous two nights was a complete rip-off. This room is also incredibly spacious. The only downside is that this room type doesn't have a bathtub. During Chinese New Year, breakfast was a little crowded.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.
BBingbingle、The room was very spacious and well-equipped.
The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking.
The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed.
The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.
YYongganxixiMy parents and I have been traveling for a month now, and this Wanda hotel is their absolute favorite – they even said I have great taste in choosing hotels! The front desk staff were so patient and attentive. The room layout was well-designed and spacious. The hot springs were incredibly relaxing, and the environment was absolutely top-notch. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, a feast for the eyes! You can stay, eat, splash around in the shallow pools, and enjoy a comfortable hot spring soak. It was just so enjoyable!
DDadadadayimaFacilities: Pretty standard. The only issue was the lack of USB ports by the bed, which I think could be upgraded given how prevalent electronic devices are these days.
Cleanliness: The courtyard hot spring was already cleaned before my check-in, which was a very thoughtful touch, much appreciated.
Service: Responses were very prompt, and the service consciousness was strong. This is the biggest advantage of a hotel compared to a guesthouse.
Environment: The hotel environment is absolutely stunning. It's a Chinese-style villa, and you can even see the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' from the hotel. Sipping coffee while looking at the snow-capped mountains was incredibly enjoyable.
MM680398****This was my first time visiting Shangri-La, and this hotel truly stood out. The service was warm and welcoming, and they even had parking available. The staff helped us with our luggage to our room, which was a nice touch. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, with excellent facilities and a peaceful atmosphere. Our room had a unique charm, and the heating and hot water were plentiful. The young owner was also incredibly hospitable; I even saw him sharing champagne with some guests during their meal – it truly felt like a harmonious place. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and in the morning, you can catch the stunning 'Golden Mountain' sunrise over Shika Snow Mountain. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

AAkunuo.matataThe room was spotless and the air was fresh. The staff had the windows open to air out the room before I checked in, which was a nice touch. The facilities were excellent too. The room was spacious and meticulously cleaned. The staff were incredibly patient, and I even received a small gift upon checkout every time, which was super thoughtful and heartwarming. I stayed for several days and overall, my experience was absolutely fantastic!🐨
MM55355****Cangshan No. 1 is a hotel with advanced concepts. The management model is a team of butlers who create a feeling of home for guests and think of everything in front of them.
The environment is beautiful and beautiful, with swimming pools, white beaches, coconut trees... creating a different paradise.
Every employee has a strong sense of priority and their service attitude is excellent, gentle and comfortable. Not only did he take the initiative to inquire, but he also introduced the characteristics and customs of the Bai people in a very thoughtful way.
The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Each room has its own bathing pool, dry and wet are separated, and even the toilet is fully automatic. Very clean!
Breakfast and afternoon tea are richly prepared and have local characteristics. There is also a heart-warming evening sweet soup every night. My family and I felt that choosing Cangshan No. 1 for this trip was a great value!
