My mother and I absolutely loved staying at Westin Miyako for our celebratory Kyoto trip. The renovated room was spacious and beautiful with excellent bedding and well appointed amenities. We enjoyed using the spa and dining at the buffet. The hotel is a bit away from sites but we didn’t mind because we preferred quiet stay. The area is peaceful and walking to nanzenji area was great. Most of all, we thank all the staff who were so kind and so helpful to us, making our stay wonderful!

There is no blocking the light through the bathroom into the bedroom. The attached photos were taken at approximately 6am, which is not when we wanted to wake up on our holiday.
Otherwise, hotel is good and great public spa on the 10th Floor. Free laundry room too! Just purchase your washing powder from the front reception.
Location was amazing and convenient to both Kyoto Station and buses.

Comfortable stay with an impressive terrace on roof top where you can chill out with the view of Kyoto while soaking your feet, so comfy! Bar time in the evening at the terrace. Small hot bath area yet peaceful ambience.
Small room but well equipped. They suggest to store the luggage under the bed but personally found that it isn't practical for big luggage. Otherwise the mattress is comfortable and the provided amenities are all fine for the stay.
Good location even department stores, shops, restaurants, public transportation, attractions, Gion and etc are in walking distance but still silent enough and I had a good stay here. Also taxi stop is just right in front of the hotel entrance.
Luggage can be store after check out but please check with the time for picking up with the staff.

The landlord’s Chinese communication barrier-free environment: two floors, two bathrooms and one bathroom. The layout is very careful and the place is large. The tatami bed, kitchen and toilet facilities are complete, including hand sanitizer, seasonings, detergent, oven, Induction cooker, rice cooker. Transportation: The location is not very convenient. I only found it after walking through several alleys. I was still helped by a Japanese uncle. The positioning was not accurate enough. It is recommended that the host can draw a picture for the guests to make it more convenient. The family is very satisfied, the price is good, and the host also gave red wine!
My stay at Mercure Kyoto Miyazu Resort & Spa was incredible! The classic Japanese-style room was beautifully designed with tatami mats and a serene ambiance, offering a perfect blend of tradition and comfort. The ocean view from my room was breathtaking, and the onsen facilities were truly relaxing.
The staff were warm and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. The traditional Kyoto-style breakfast was a delightful highlight. I highly recommend this resort for a peaceful and luxurious getaway!
The staff's English needs improvement. The rooms are acceptable, and the view is fantastic, but a smell is coming from the toilet. The hotel requires a full deposit at the time of booking, and you have to pay for the room again after checking out. It can take several weeks to get your deposit refunded. I am still waiting for my refund after paying a deposit of 33000 yen along with 33000 yen for the room fee. :(
I visited for a family trip. I made a reservation for a shuttle bus by phone, but it is quite far from the city center. It is quiet and the air is good, so I am satisfied. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.
I think the large bath and open-air bath are not bad. It smells a little like Lux. I was a little disappointed that there was no ice cream that was supposed to be given for free after bathing.
I made a reservation for a room with an open-air bath, and the atmosphere was very good and I was very satisfied. The bedding was clean and soft, so it was better than a bed. The staff was also friendly, which was nice. The location may be a pity, but if you think about the atmosphere of Shoenso, it is not crowded, so I would like to visit again.
A bit expensive, but everything else is good. Our family has three people living in a room, which is a bit crowded, and the room fee is more than 15,000. There is one large hot spring bathroom and five small ones, and the hardware is relatively simple. When the crabs are in season, they are indeed sweet and plump, which is rare. Just treat it as a crab set meal for 4,000 RMB per person, and leave the rest
More than 3,000 yuan is used as room fee and hot spring fee. The check-in and check-out times are very unreasonable. You can only check in after 15:00 and check out at 10:00 in the morning. The whole check-in experience is very rushed and it is difficult to relax. There are no other stores or places to visit around, which is a bit desolate. The transportation is very inconvenient, so you can almost only go there by chartering a car. Everyone knows that the price of chartering a car in Japan is very expensive! It cost almost 20,000 yuan. A family of three spent 29 hours traveling from Kyoto and back.
Kyoto Route Inn Kameoka offers a pleasant stay with its convenient location and comfortable amenities. The hotel is known for its clean and modern rooms, providing a relaxing atmosphere for travelers. Guests appreciate the complimentary breakfast, which features a variety of Japanese and Western options. The on-site public bath is a highlight, offering a soothing experience after a day of exploring. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to Kameoka's attractions and easy access to Kyoto city make it a practical choice for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, it's a solid option for a comfortable and convenient stay in the Kameoka area.
1. The nearest attraction is the beautiful mountain thatched house
2. There is a river next to it, the scenery is good
3. The facilities are a bit old, there is no elevator, only stairs, it is more difficult to carry large luggage
The room is a Japanese-style room with a strong mat taste
Dinner is a very common Japanese dish
6.The public bath is small, but fortunately there are few guests at night, only myself to dip.

TTiejiaxiaomaoThe environment is very good. The hotel opened in 2024. There is a hot spring designed by Kengo Kuma. This is my second stay just for these reasons. The disadvantages are that there is a cemetery next to it, so please choose carefully if you are afraid of it. In addition, the flip-flops are a bit useless and can't be worn at all. If you walk to the hot spring area, it will hurt. I have never encountered the problem of flip-flops being difficult to wear in other Japanese hotels. I hope it can be improved.

GGuest Usermost things are pretty good, the location is not that great. The spa is good, but the environment around the spa is too cold in winter and my husband got A very bad cold. The price is not cheap
AAlenaVery nice family place! You can feel life in a regular Japanese house. Spacious room with a wonderful view, kotatsu and futons. The toilet is small and separate on the floor, but it is not a problem. In the hot springs there is a bath both inside and outside. The barrel is especially cool because it is separate and you can admire the forest. We arrived on a cold day, so we got maximum pleasure.
Dinner was traditional in the common room, where everyone had a good time. Hot pot with signature miso is very tasty! Breakfast is also traditional and tasty. Since we do not eat raw eggs, they made us a delicious omelet instead. Thank you for your care!
It is located a little far from the bus stop, but the views along the way make up for the distance. We were taken back to the bus station by car.
I recommend staying for a couple of nights to enjoy it to the fullest!
GGuest UserOne of the best hotels we visited in Japan! Truly amazing experience. All visitors walk without shoes in the hotel but the floor was absolutely clean and nice. Excellent baths, massage chairs, breakfast (in the photo) and complementary ramen & ice cream. The room and the hotel as well were in Japanese style which was perfect for us. 11 minutes from shinkansen railway station, 7 minutes from subway, 30-40 minutes by foot to Gyon. Smoking room was available however it was pretty small but ok.
What could be improved: more cleaning in the bathing area in dressing room. More massage chairs would be nice as it was pretty crowded due to people waiting in queues. One woman left her child in the massage chair with ipad “for hours” so it was impossible for other visitors to use it.
Overall, fascinating hotel and we will 100% sure come back!
GGuest UserAs usual, Hotel Monterey Kyoto provided superior service. My room was clean and spacious and I enjoyed the ocha and coffee provided. The water from the tap is not good though, so be sure to buy bottled water to drink and to make hot drinks.
Access to bus and subway is excellent making this my only place to stay when I go to Kyoto.
GGuest UserBeautiful view and delicious food. The picture shows breakfast, mostly vegetarian dishes, very healthy. The manager is very handsome. Check in at 3 pm, even half an hour earlier is not allowed, pay attention to the time arrangement. There are many fat koi in the courtyard outside the room, and they also let me feed the fish food, very happy 🥳
GGuest UserIt is fantastic for stay at this place when you or your best companion need relax trip for kyoto area, Japan. Clean and traditional, looks old but mix with modern operating system, kind staffs and nice workers, they know what good hotel personnels need to do. It is satisfying and great experience.
GGuest UserGood location as it is 2-3 minutes walk from nearby railway stations, 2 major department stores and numerous cafe/restaurant. The room is spacious and well decorated. Staff are very nice and helpful. Foot bath on the terrace, in-room open-air bath and the guest lounge are highly enjoyable. All in all, this hotel is highly recommended and worth the money.
GGuest UserGreen Rich Hotel Kyoto is located near Kujo, Kyoto Station. There is a bus stop at the door. It takes 15 minutes to walk from Kyoto Station. It is very convenient. The hotel is not expensive. The rooms are OK, not very small. Two rooms are booked, one on the 7th floor and the other on the 8th floor. Both sides are close to the road, but they don't honk when driving in Japan. This detail is really good, so the road is very quiet and you won't be woken up by the beeping. There is an artificial hot spring in the lobby on the first floor. It is very comfortable and you can soak there every day. The hotel front desk will tell you the time. It is a local Japanese-style hot spring. You can soak there directly, and you can't wear swimsuits. It is separated for men and women. The password for opening the door changes every day. Just ask the hotel for the password. The restaurant is also in the lobby on the first floor. It is very obvious and can be seen at a glance. The sky outside the room window is clean and bright. I will stay there next time.
