The location is right across from Nara JR Station. The hotel is clean, the facilities are new, and the service is good. They offer free ramen and drinks at night, and the ramen is absolutely delicious, especially the egg! The massage chairs are new and comfortable, but it's really hard to find one available.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, including the bedding. While the room was well-equipped, some facilities felt a bit dated. However, both the interior and exterior of the building exuded an aristocratic grandeur. The front desk staff were incredibly polite, professional, and went above and beyond to help guests with any issues. The hot spring had specific operating hours, and unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to experience it, which was a slight disappointment.

To experience a Japanese tatami room, I chose Asuka-so. The hotel is small, very much like the guesthouses on Mount Putuo, surrounded by similar small but exquisite inns. Check-in was at 3 PM, and we arrived early. We couldn't get into our room, but the front desk kindly stored our luggage. After feeding the deer, we returned to find that the staff had already taken our luggage to our room. Another pleasant surprise was that while we were wondering how to lay out the futons, we returned from dinner to find the tatami already made up! ๐Ÿ˜Š We slept very comfortably. There's also a public bath at the inn, and our room had a Japanese-style bathroom. We were given Japanese yukata upon check-in. Even though we only stayed one night, it was a deep and interesting experience of a Japanese ryokan. There's a free bar at the hotel front desk offering coffee, tea, and complimentary ice cream, open until 9 PM. Right across from the inn is a convenience store where you can buy deer crackers. There are deer everywhere nearby, so there's no need to go specifically to Nara Park if you just want to feed them; you can do so right around the inn.

Fantastic hotel for anyone who drive. Free Car park with lots of spaces. The facility is very clean, spacious room, both indoor and outdoor hot spring. Really there is nothing to complain in this hotel. It is located in a fairly decent neighborhoods and able to provide this standard of hot spring is phenomenal. One of the best stay we had in this journey. Highly Recommended.

๐Ÿ‘ Right next to the JR station, you can get directly to the hotel from the East Exit without even going downstairs. ๐Ÿ‘ Although it's very close to the JR station, it's super soundproofed! You really can't hear a thing. ๐Ÿ‘ The hotel has its own free hot spring bath. It's not big but quite clean. ๐Ÿ‘ The hotel as a whole is also relatively new. The only downside is that the rooms are indeed quite small ๐Ÿ‘Ž. ๐Ÿ‘ In the evening, there's a bar where you can mix your own drinks for free. Breakfast is 1500 JPY per person, and it's pretty good! You can also sit by the window with a view.

I have stayed in this hotel many times. The room is very large and the lobby is very grand. There is free afternoon tea and evening tea on the first floor! There is a hot spring on the underground first floor, which can relieve the fatigue of the journey. I highly recommend this hotel!

I chose to stay in the Japanese room of Kasuga Hotel again, which says it all. Convenient transportation, complete facilities, hot spring bath, coffee shop in the lobby on the first floor, 24-hour free coffee, drinks, small refreshments, etc., Japanese breakfast and dinner are very rich, 10 minutes walk from Todaiji Kasuga Taisha, 3 minutes walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, and there are restaurants, snack bars, sushi restaurants, supermarkets, etc. on the commercial street next to it. Highly recommended.

This hotel is super convenient, just a 2-minute walk from JR Nara Station. They even upgraded us to a high-floor room with a great view, and the room itself was very spacious with a separate shower and toilet. The large public bath was a huge bonus โ€“ perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. Getting to Montbell was easy, just a single bus ride away (though make sure to check the bus schedule on a map!). There's also a fantastic conveyor belt sushi place right next to Montbell. To get to Nara Park and Mt. Wakakusa, you just need to catch a bus from the other exit of the station, and there's a large Aeon supermarket conveniently located at the bus stop.

The location is right in the shopping street and also at the Kintetsu exit, it is only 15 minutes to go to the park. The staff is warm and courteous, the hot springs are fine but quiet enough. The hotel is old but tidy, there is no daily necessities except old towels, including a blow dryer in the hot spring area, and there is nothing towels lock. Of course, this price can't be too much, remember this is a hotel. I was impressed by the invincible location and courteous staff, I can't say whether I like it or not.

GGuest UserA question to think about, โ€˜What makes a hotel a luxury one?โ€™ To me, itโ€™s luxury because of the hospitality of the staff, quality of the property and the food they provided totally exceed travellersโ€™ expectations, and as a result, we would love to pay more for the experience. Some staff really tried their very best to help me during my stay while some just didnโ€™t. Upon arrival, I tried to communicate with the staff that Iโ€™d like to cancel my third nightโ€™s dinner because of the change of my plan. At first, I booked six meals in total and Iโ€™d only want to cancel one dinner and they said I needed to pay 100% for the cancelled meal because they have already bought the ingredients. Okay, I tried to understand that because they had already taken away my credit card and thereโ€™s nothing I could do about that and I thought it must be a very nice meal and thatโ€™s why they insisted that. Disappointingly, the portion was so small and paying the same amount of money I could get so much better food in ่™นๅค•่ซพ้›… or any other five star onsen hotels in Japan. As a result, I went to bed feeling hungry and eating the snacks I bought for myself :( The food portions are like a bento instead of a proper meal. ) Also, the Western style breakfast was so overpriced and the avocado in the omelette was not fresh at all. One more thing to note is that the complimentary champagne service they provided to their guests. Itโ€™s a nice experience but maybe Iโ€™m just a lady travelling alone and I couldnโ€™t speak Japanese at all, the waitress didnโ€™t serve me the same way as she served other people in the cafe. When all of them got two glasses of free drinks, one cocktail and one champagne, she only gave me one champagne and didnโ€™t offer me the cocktail. And the day after, there was a nice staff who served me properly and I finally realized that I am entitled to two drinks. (Sigh)The experience was like buying a Chanel bag. The bag was pricey but the chain of the bag just suddenly fall apart while you are using it for the very first time. My advice is: Donโ€™t use their catering services especially for the in-room dining plan. There are so many better choices out there in the city. The room and the service of the staff are great tho.
