Beachside Motel - Amelia Island

Exorbitant fees for a room where breakfast was muffins and bars. Little tv with bad picture and bad channel selection

A 70s style basic motel with direct beach access and excellent staff… nice pool area … note on breakfast: continental… packaged muffins and goodies … no sit down breakfast area… the motel was not designed to serve meals so don’t expect such. Excellent quiet location… not a lot directly around as far as businesses or restaurants. There is a bar/restaurant across the street that is ok. We took a chance on booking here based solely on the reviews.. Exceeded our expectations and booked for next year.

Older building. Well kept. Tiny television for 2 bed room. A little noisy with people walking back and forth to rooms. Overall enjoyable stay

Comfy bed and great shower. Also great access to the beach. Unfortunately the air freshener smell was a little too strong for me. I wouldn't call it breakfast as it was the bare minimum.

Comfortable, generous sized, clean room. Balcony overlooking gorgeous, quiet beach. Very good restaurants nearby. Short drive to historic fort & downtown. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Beautiful beach walkable from room. House keepers Jenna and Priscilla talked to us and gave us places to check out in town for shopping and eating. They were great!

Everything was good except they don’t have a designated smoking area which meant people smoked directly outside the rooms; this was frustrating.

My friend left his down vest and cheerfully they mailed it to him. So thankful. Great location and hospitality, we will definitely return.

We were there for a funeral that weekend. Overall a nice smaller hotel that was privately owned I believe. Not much in the way of breakfast, other than coffee and some prepackaged snack stuff; but typically we like to go out for breakfast at a restaurant anyway. The only issue we had with the stay was we had to move rooms on the second day because the upstairs room we had been assigned the first night was booked for the second and third night. It wasn’t a real big deal other than since we had funeral stuff all day on Sunday, we had to pack up and put everything in the car and then when we got back that evening move into the second room. Of note, they had warned us of this room change two weeks prior to arriving at the hotel. We could have changed hotels, but this one had gotten such good reviews and was right on the beach that we decided to tolerate the room change. It really was not a big deal. Both the upstairs room we had initially, and the downstairs room we moved to were both beachfront, and we had nice views of ocean and dunes .
