I loved it here. Great buffet in the mornings — had all the right stuff, while still being pretty simple. I also noticed they use compostable wares for the buffet, but there was no compost bin (no service available, maybe?). So I’m glad they’ve taken the first step on this road.
Loved the room layouts, but a kids’ bunk beds would be even better than the two queens for us. There were a few very minor maintenance things, like one of the gates not opening with our room card even though the others worked.

The rooms themselves are fairly basic but clean, with comfortable beds and a nice sitting area. Beautiful ocean front views in a quaint little community. A nice bottle of wine was included - very tasty!

This place is always on the top of my list for a good time in Avila. A few things to take note of...1. There is no fan in the bathroom...this seems to be something more hotels are doing recently, but it can get pretty humid, and if sharing the room with friends, not ideal. 2. If you want a two queen suite, make sure to ask for an upstairs room. We were there as a friend group and were woken up by the family above us all 3 mornings around 6am. The entire place was pretty much empty, but they put us all right together. I get this for conservation purposes, but it is not a quiet place, and everyone is on their own schedule when at the beach. The location and property is perfection, amenities are great. Will stay here again, just with a few more preferences when booking.

Loved our visit! Beautiful resort. Fun games for families. Very clean. Nice touch to have cookies at front desk and complimentary wine in our room. View was gorgeous and enjoyed text for checkout. Will be back and will recommend. Ocean front lower floor puts you at eye level with sidewalk passerby's so 2nd floor would be best for Ocean front rooms if you plan on sitting on the patio. Suites are roomy and bed was very comfy.Other family stayed in a 2 room villa 2nd floor overlooking pool area and ocean from living room and master conjoined patio. Sunsets were amazing. Very roomy and it had a gas fireplace which is cozy in winter. I really enjoyed this resort.

Nice hotel with nice ocean views conveniently located to local restaurants and beach (right across the street). Room was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had scrambled eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, bread products, fruit, juices, coffee - overall basic but quiet adequate. We very much enjoyed our stay.
