GGuest UserThe Dorint hotel is in a very central location with wonderful views of the cathedral. The staff were very professional (from pre-trip communication to check-in and check-out) and super friendly. The hotel is huge and has lifts to all floors. The room was large with ample furniture (larger bed than usual, built-in suitcase stand, full desk, armchair) and the decor a palimpsest of older furniture zhuzhed up with wall coverings, a decorative vase, floor lights in addition to bedside table lamps and desk light, etc. There was even a kettle to make tea and coffee, and a fridge, which was much appreciated!
The bed was on the soft side and the pillows rather thin and fluffy, which was not quite to my liking. However, the blackout curtains and well-insulated windows made for a quiet night's sleep, despite the roads and building sites outside. It was still possible to open one window to let fresh air in. All in all, a very good experience.

GGuest UserIt's only a 10-minute walk from the main train station. It's very convenient to go everywhere. There's a supermarket, subway, and tram downstairs, and it's a 2-minute walk to the shopping street. The location and the price are very good👍
The room is quite satisfactory and very clean. Disposable slippers are also provided (it's not as environmentally friendly as Europe, so don't have high expectations for slippers)
There are many restaurants nearby, as well as a Vietnamese pho shop (3 minutes' walk away). It's also very convenient to take an Uber downstairs. It can be said to be highly recommended.

SSumethaThe hotel was in a great location, right by the cathedral and close to the shopping district and mainline train station. The room was big, spacious and clean. However unfortunately at the moment there is a lot of construction work happening behind the hotel where our room was and it was very hard to sleep with such loud noises from 7am we also had to leave the windows open as it was very warm and there was no air conditioning in the room which also didnt help.
There was a free coffee machine available to make hot drinks in the lobby to take to the room however it wasnt always working when we needed it.
Otherwise good value hotel.

The location was good because it was close to the central station and the concert hall.
There are many restaurants around, and you can walk a little bit by the Rhine.
The room was clean and all the facilities were good.
However, there was no elevator, so it was difficult to walk up and down the rotary stairs to the fourth floor.
I think it's hard for people with a lot of luggage.

Rrickan2000A rather basic hotel, but worthy of its price. The hotel is suitable for people with a limited budget but who want to live here for a long time. In addition to ordinary hotel rooms, there are also public living rooms and public bathrooms (that is, there are also rooms without bathrooms). The overall feel is more like a student dormitory. The room was very cold when I arrived. I searched for a long time before I realized that the heating was not turned on. So my impression of this hotel is cold and bleak, and I guess I won't go there again in the future. But it would be unfair to say that this hotel has nothing good to offer.

GGuest UserThe most pitted thing is that the front desk and the apartment building are not in the same place. I took a taxi to the apartment downstairs. I didn’t find the front desk for a long time. I asked several Germans downstairs and didn’t know. The last German handsome guy helped me call and asked to know that the front desk was 800 meters away, and he pushed the box and walked over to get the key. Push back again. The door is old-fashioned key lock, the room facilities are very simple, there is no paper towel, the bedside lamp has been looking for a long time to find the switch, and the bath water is not very hot. There is no phone, you can contact the front desk with a German mobile phone. In short, it is very inconvenient. The only advantage is that the window is the beautiful view of the Rhine River and the neighborhood is quiet. Take a taxi to Cologne city center about 7 kilometers. There is a Chinese restaurant downstairs in the apartment, and there is a good bakery diagonally across the road to have breakfast.
