Find 2-Star Hotels in Cologne

Very convenient situated, on walking distance of the airport terminal T1 and T2, as well as from the airport parking P2. The hotel has no car parking facilities. It's a large hotel, with a reception, bar and restaurant on the 5th floor, all very cosy. We enjoyed drinks at the bar, as well as from tasteful meal at the restaurant. The standard room is of normal size, the bathroom is rather small and sized for 1 person at the time. Surely recommend this hotel when travelling from the Cologne-Bonn airport.

Hygien, room, bed, quietness everything was great except that I got this problem with the receptionists. So I did explain to all the receptionist (that I saw-because I understand they work in shifts) that I lost 2 luggages due to the airline's mistake and airline will send them to this hostel where I would be staying (for 1 night only). I explained that if someone sent luggages here, please tell me asap because I needed to catch a train to Amsterdam the nextday noon. Imagine 35kg of personal belongs just dissapeared, I didnt have toothbrush, clean clothings.... I reminded them everything 3-4 hours when I saw a receptionist. After almost 27 hours of waiting in worry (which made me cannot enjoy the city), I talked to one receptionist to please check 1 more time becauze the airlines mailed me that they did send to the hostel at 4:30pm in the day I checked-in hostel, (only 4-5 hours after my flight time), she let me go it the luggage room and my luggages were there the whole time! So I waited in pain for 22 hours for nothing. I think it would be a bit obvious when 1 guy in delivery company uniform went in with 2 luggages and said ”this is from one of your customer.” But the receptionist just forgot it quickly and didnt tell me. I had to change a lot of my plan and I was feeling terible and stressful with the waiting and fear of lost luggages. Beside that, the condition of rooms, facilities, warm water, sound proof windows were great.

This is not an ideal hotel at all. I would not give it anymore than a poor rating. The outer front of the hotel is awful and actually looks like it's closed. Very uninviting! On walking in, I was ”met” (not greeted) by a female member of staff who was OK (she did offer some conversation).... but not the most welcoming of people. I was kept waiting initially while she fetched someone else. In the meantime, I filled in some forms and a rather grumpy and disheveled looking person arrived. He mentioned I had to pay a fee for something but it wasn''t really clear what it was for. I reluctantly paid as it was only 4 euros and I didn't really understand German - had it been anymore, I would might have been more inclined to argue. The room (I was in 107) was frankly reminiscent of something from the Bates Motel. Very old furniture. The room was hot (I had to open the window) and although there was a TV, adequate WIFI, cleans towels etc - the standard was just frankly horrendous. I saw a pube on the wall in the bathroom! For this next part (I take partial responsibility as I WAS warned) but after 10 there is no reception which means you have to take your two keys with you. Now I stupidly assumed it was because the front door would be locked after 10. The real reason is because the hotel room door itself locks behind you. I walked out of the hotel room as I went to see if I could find someone to lend me a fan and the door locked behind me. Without anyone in reception, I was stranded late at night in the corridor. I had to physically climb out of the window and LUCKILY I had left my own open due to the hot weather.... otherwise I don't know what I would have done. I did NOT have the breakfast. It was included in the price but frankly everything seemed so sub-standard that I didn't want to risk it. Honestly, I know you get what you pay for but this wasn't even worth that and I paid approximately £50.

Been an amazing stay with great service!! Past reviews seemed bad but i do not agree as the staffs were really nice. Even managed to get early checked in at 1150am, when we reached at 1130am, as the staffs rushed to help us get checked in. Breakfast was on the pricier side for 17 euro but it was really good and widespread!

Hotel Ibis Koeln Centrum is without a doubt one of the best Ibis hotels we have been to in Germany and was a great choice to stay here on our seven day holiday as there are superb travel link's to explore Cologne and it was handy for the Christmas Market's me and my twin brother visited. Located on Neue Weyerstraße'this brilliant hotel has a very modern look and feel with nice clean compact rooms that are superb and a nice bathroom.The reception area is superb as was the dining area and the bar is 24 hours (I Think) as we came back really late some nights and is was very busy. Our room (433) was spotlessly clean with a superb bathroom and for what we paid for was excellent value for money.This is a very good hotel in an excellent area of Cologne and is easy to get to from the Tram/U-Bahn stop or Bus stop at Barbarossaplatz its just a short walk.(This is my 1st review of the Ibis Koeln Centrum). I had a very positive experience at Moxy Mülheim Köln Hotel. The room comfort was excellent, with a comfortable bed and modern decoration. The lobby area was also very nice and had a spacious atmosphere. The staff was extremely helpful and hospitable, always finding solutions promptly whenever we had any issues. The drinks served at the bar, especially the cocktails, were really good. The only thing I think could be improved is the breakfast variety, as I believe it could have more options. Overall, I had a delightful time at Moxy Mülheim Köln Hotel and will definitely come back. Thank you.

This hotel boasts a clean and convenient location. Breakfast was cheap. And don't pay for the parking. The gate opens automatically.

Stayed at the B&B for one night while visiting Köln. Plenty of free parking and a easy, no hassle check in. Rooms are clean and fine for staying the night. Breakfast is limited but then again it’s only a tenner. Recommend to travel by car and park at P&R Haus Vorst to get onto the line 7 tram to travel to the city center.

This hotel should only be used as a bed to sleep in, and expect absolutely nothing more. I was here on business with 2 colleagues and everything was just ok. The people in the reception looked very bored and uninspired. The room was alright, the housekeeping a joke. To be fair, with 3 people living in a very small room the space to clean was minimal as we had to spread quite a bit, but I expected the trash bin to be emptied. The beds were alright and the AC excellent, which was good as the area around the hotel tend to be noisy as it is in the industrial part of town. There was a brief 10 minute walk to the s-bahn. Very few choices of food around the area. The breakfast, that they priced up from €7.50 to €10.50 from our booking to arrival is not worth the money, with a very bad selection and slow refill when there is a lot of people. The Frau managing the breakfast area was very agressive in asking for room number and barely understood any English making it very awkward. If you are a smoker, then the smoking area outside does not have any place to sit. Unless there is no other available places to stay, I will not come back to this hotel.

400e for 2 nights for 2 rooms is a crazy amount of money for an ibis Budget. Just paid 100e less for a Lovely house in Bruges! However, hotel prices in Koln were incredibly high family of 5 we had little choice . Did the job but certainly not worth that amount of money. It was clean, comfy beds and powerful showers as a positive. Let's be honest thank goodness it was at that price. Good location outside of the LEZ zone and a quick hop onto the tram 8 mins walk away.
