Find 3-Star Hotels in Cologne

This hotel has an absolutely wonderful location. The incredible Heinzels Christmas Market which has to be the prettiest market we've seen, is 2 minutes from your door! The hotel is very clean, comfortable and offers a nice breakfast too. The staff is very helpful, professional. We had a problem with our heat not working and the mechanics showed up to fix it almost before we hung up the phone with the front desk. The very minor problem was solved in 10 minutes. So efficient! (Be aware, please, that there are 2 City Class hotels near one another in Cologne. One closer to the the Cathedral and this one. Either location would be excellent but we stayed in the one on Auf Dem Rothenberg) Our driver dropped us off to walk about 100 feet down a cobblestone alley then turn left into an archway to reach the hotel. The hotel opens onto a utilitarian courtyard with that cobblestone street on the back side, the courtyard, then a narrow alley that opens up right onto the Christmas market. It looked questionable upon arrival but was perfect!!!

The hotel is quite central in Cologne. It also has probably given the possibility to breakfast directly in the hotel the reservation. However, already at the arrival, this was shown at the reception before and after me, there were probably noise differences between the bookings of the arrival guests and the understanding that only the German-speaking lady had at the reception. My colleague has clearly ordered breakfast with, but he had to call it loudly next morning. I myself, I'm very much in hotels on the way I've experienced extremely rarely that staff always strongly before yesterday each other disputes about courses that should be practiced. My room itself was awaiting and probably had the flair of the 1980s. Electric cable simply sticked to the wall, hoping that they would not solve again. In general, I would not book this hotel anymore. What the reason staff and guests are constantly crying negative.

The location is good, walking about 15 minutes to the Dom, in a quiet side street. Rooms are clean and well equipped but small. There are some houses that have been assembled here, so there will be differences in size of the rooms. Beautiful and large choice for breakfast, which was included on the site for an unprecedented price. Deep garage available at charge, too wide should not be the car for it. Check in and out has worked wonderfully.

The hotel is an easy walk (just a few minutes) from the railway station. It is about two minutes walk to the cathedral which you can see (and hear) from the hotel: the bells chime quite loudly at about 08:00 am and other times. Rooms are a decent size and the beds are very comfortable. It is clean and in the room there is a safe, tv, bathroom with a shower (that oddly has no shower curtain or screen - the floor gets quite wet). Breakfast is good and includes the normal range of hot and cold foods from croissants, toast, bacon, egg, sausage, buns, cereals, hams, salamis, cheeses, coffee, tea, hot water and some really very nice fruit juices (some of the nicest I have tasted in a hotel). The staff in the dining area were really pleasant and friendly. The reception staff were a little more varied but polite and efficient enough. Outside the hotel doesn't look that much but it is generally pleasant and a great base inside. Next door are some convenience store types of shops and a kebab house that I tried and it was exactly the same as back home. McDonalds is just across the road, if that is your thing. We walked to all of the Christmas markets (where we did most of our eating) and around the city centre and down to the Rhine. All are in easy walking distance. There is a bag room where you can leave your bags upon checkout and come back for them later. The security of that was a little lax as people just walked in from the street and took their bags. I went to the reception and told them I was taking mine and the lady looked as if to say, ”ok fine.” No checks. There is also little checking of people walking in from the street and just going upstairs but the doors on the rooms were pretty secure. The lighting is not great in the room and the lights around the hotel are seemingly hanging from their connections. Overall it was a great base from which to explore the city and get to and from. good night's sleep - despite the bells and a good breakfast. I would stay again for a short break in the city.

Ignore the reviews!! Mum and I had hiccups when we arrived the wonderful receptionist sorted our issues out with friendly speed, excellent stay in the triple room , despite not having the bath for mum, they change our room, the hotel is excellent position for visitors

Very modern furnished and the rooms are clean. Unfortunately, when we visit 21.08.2021 the mini bar was not equipped. But I think this is due to the Corona situation. Unfortunately there is no bar in the hotel. If you have thirst late evening, a drinking machine is available. Breakfast buffet is perfectly OK, but you should not expect a 4-star buffet now, but you get tired and the selection is OK.

A nice hotel with pleasant staff. It's a bit out of the way but accessible as long as you are happy to research the public transport. Has a McDonalds next door so you would never starve! And there is a Lidl a short walk away. The sofa/camp beds could possibly benefit from being updated as sitting/sleeping on those wasn't particularly comfortable but the main beds were comfortable. Breakfast was continental and pleasant. We would stay at the hotel again.

This is an amazing hotel. The beds are so comfy, the attention to detail is excellent, for example, there is underfloor heating in the bathrooms which is really nice, great water pressure, and an amazing service where you are able to get free drinks for up to 5 days if you don’t require full cleaning in your room, which is for anyone staying in your room. These tokens are available on a variety of soft and alcoholic drinks and there’s a cute bar down in the reception. They also donate to a charity alongside the drinks tokens. It’s close to public transport routes into cologne which is great and there are super markets and fast food places nearby too

The hotel is located in the city center, next to a large supermarket starting late at night, very convenient. Less than 5 minutes walk to the subway station. The only pity is that the mobile phone cannot project the TV in the room and there is no refrigerator. 

Simple hotel for night more but not too. Here is everything nice missing. The washing basin has strong cracks and the wall flies is broken. Cleanliness is OK, unfortunately no air conditioning so the window had left over the night but then had to make it again since there is a good road before the hotel and some thought it would be a race path. Very loud. All out of the rooms have breakfast here there are sauce, cheese, nutella, marmelade fresh fruit,musli, etc. breakfast was really good and something for everyone.
