SShoppingThere is a cooperative car park, the maximum charge for the day is 15 euros, the counter staff is also very friendly, it is very close to the subway, tram, bus, and Cologne Cathedral, and it is within walking distance

GGuest UserThe hotel location was great, and so close to the subway for easy transport into the city. When I made the reservation, it did not indicate that parking was an additional fee, just that there was parking. Not that parking was very much, but I don't recall seeing a fee posted on the booking website, and it was jusy unexpected. The room was sufficient- a tiny bit smaller than expected. And the room had a slight sour smell, not sure if it was mildew or just stuffy from the winter west weather, but we were only there one night, so we didn't fuss. The check-in staff spoke less english than expected, but was okay, as my Deutsch was just good enough we could meet in the middle. Breakfast was a good spread and the attendants were plenty.

Ccyoukou****The hotel is right next to Cologne Central Station; you step out and it's there. From the room, you can see Cologne Cathedral, allowing you to fully experience Cologne day and night. Being near the station, all kinds of amenities are very convenient. The hotel lobby even preserves a brick from 1979. The breakfast has a rich selection of cheeses – a cheese lover's dream! German beer is truly delicious. You absolutely must visit the Cologne Triangle; watching the sunrise there for five euros is an incredibly beautiful and stunning experience that photos can only capture about fifty percent of.

GGoevanovic1976A super stylish yet cozy hotel. Everything feels new and well-thought-out. It's well-located, close to Koelnmesse and Rheinpark. The tram and train stations are easily accessible. Plus, the staff is friendly and professional. It's a shame the gym was closed for renovation work.

GGuest UserWhen I was checking in, I was a little worried the staff would be unable to speak English. However the two receptionists who helped me were perfectly fluent and answered any questions I had. I did unfortunately have to pay a city tax on top of my room, but it wasn’t expensive and this is a common thing in most hotels in Europe. The room itself was pretty decent and had plenty of space for my suitcase and to walk around. The en-suite was great and had good towels and hot shower. The bed was comfy with a good mattress and duvet wise, but the pillows were a bit limp and didn’t have a lot in them. I spoke to another member of staff who spoke little English, who said he’d look and bring one to my room, but this never happened. Whatever the case, still had a good sleep, would have better with extra head comfort. As for breakfast, there was a great variety of choice from fry-up food (bacon, sausages, eggs) to continental pastries and drinks. I would say the only downside was there was not enough for fruit, as there was only a few apples and plates of sliced oranges. Would have been better if there was more to choose fruit wise, but everything else was great and was a good fuel up for the day in Cologne. When checking out, they also allowed me to place my luggage and bags in their storage room with zero charge which is great when you’re exploring for the day and have a later departure time. Overall, if you’re in Cologne for a day (like me) or two, this place is a great option and I would stay here again!

AAnonymous UserThe Good: - Location is right in the middle of everything and few steps from the Cologne Cathedral and the Cologne Central Station. - Most of the staff were nice and helpful. The young lady (she had curly hair) and the Dutch man were amazing and friendly! - The room given to us was huge! It had a living room. - The price was affordable considering we went during peak holiday season with the Christmas markets open. The Bad: - We were on the 5th floor and the lift was only until the 4th floor. We had to carry our luggages up 2 flights of stairs to get to our room. Also the lift was tiny! It could only fit 2 persons or 1 person with luggage. - Heating was not working. When we arrived, we were wondering why we had 2 portable heaters (with 1 not working), we realised the radiators were not working! - The bathroom stank the whole room everytime we came in from outside. It seemed to come from the drainage. - The bathroom has a huge window (not frosted, no curtain) that makes you uncomfortable when showering! I had to turn the lights off at night so I wasn't visible from outside. And during the day, I had to crouch. - The shower cubicle was so tiny! I kept hitting the shower lever so the temperature kept changing while showering. I had to leave the glass door open so I can move. - The sofas in the living room had stains. - The king bed was actually 2 single bed beds placed side by side and I kept falling into the middle crack. - The mattress had a lump in the middle. It was uncomfortable. - There was 1 female staff (older lady), who was rude. We asked to collect our luggage we left after we checked out and she had this pissed off expression like we bothered her for asking. I had high expectations as I have stayed in Wyndham hotels before and this hotel was not up to par.

GGuest UserI chose this hotel as I have stayed on other visits to Cologne. Very disappointed to find my room had no suitable curtains to cover the window. No electricity in half of the room so I used an extension cable I borrowed from reception. The bathroom was partially renovated but had bare cables coming from the wall. I approached reception concerning the problems and was promised my room would be changed the following morning. I approached reception in the morning to be told they would not change my room. This was due to other complaints and guests having to move to a sister hotel. Clearly, this hotel is undergoing refurbishment. However, unfinished rooms should not be let. I have asked for a refund and fully expect a suitable response from the manager. This hotel used to be very good. What has gone wrong???

GGuest Userthe room is clean, the owner is gentle and responsive. The only problem is there is no sound proof at all - considering this is a general flat problem, we can still bear with many random noises coming from outside or inside the building. But there are two permanent residents who share the flat with us cooking and talking to each other from 23pm to 1am, just outside our room. we felt weird to tell them to keep quiet as we are the 'temporary guest'. there must be some rules to be set up if the owner wants to mix long-term and short-term stays.

IIvanStarIt was a short but sweet and very comfortable stay. Reception was very welcoming, nice and Accommodating. Clean, safe and a stone away from the Cologne Cathedral and Christmas Market. We were able to enjoy our time but will Definitely come back again with more days to stay in Cologne. Highly recommend and appreciate Accommodating us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
