"As a frequent traveler, I found this hotel to have a very distinct character. The pros are: 1. It's quite close to the station, though still a six or seven-minute walk; 2. The decor is very stylish, with thoughtful design and quality materials, and well-considered placement of outlets and lighting; 3. The bedding and pillows are excellent; 4. The rooftop offers an unbeatable view. However, the cons are equally obvious: 1. The double-layered curtains don't block out light and are covered in stains. It was so disgusting that we even cleaned them with alcohol ourselves; 2. The double room only came with one chair. They could easily add a folding chair; 3. The water pressure is incredibly strong, which is great, but because the floor is too flat and the shower partition isn't wide enough, water splashes all over the floor during a normal shower; 4. There are no water glasses or a kettle in the room. You have to go downstairs to get water. In Germany, this is typically the setup you'd find in a cheaper business hotel, but this hotel's price point isn't cheap. Other brand hotels at this price usually have kettles and coffee machines in the rooms. This was the worst hotel in terms of value for money (price vs. amenities) during my entire European trip. And because I had to get hot water at least twice a day, one staff member was extremely impatient, even openly showing it, which was terrible service; 5. Coffee is actually free from 11:30 PM to 11:30 AM, but the staff didn't proactively mention it. One even claimed it wasn't free after 6:00 AM and required payment. I feel the hotel could really improve on this point; they should just be more generous. I wouldn't consider staying at a hotel like this again unless the price was a third lower. Also, breakfast is 19 Euros per person. The information on Ctrip is completely wrong and it's very mediocre, not worth it. You can buy good bread and organic cold cuts from the supermarket and bakery next door for less than five Euros."

"This stay was a truly fantastic experience, earning a five-star rating! The hotel's location is a real plus. It's right next to the subway station and a few minutes' walk from the shopping district and food court, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The most surprising thing was the service. The front desk clerk greeted us with a smile throughout, checking us in quickly, and proactively recommended nearby hidden gems and must-try restaurants, even providing tips on avoiding pitfalls. He was incredibly thoughtful. The room exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The sheets and duvet cover had a subtle fragrance and were wrinkle-free. The bedding was as soft as a cloud, making it impossible to get up. The soundproofing was excellent, so I couldn't hear any outside noise at night, and I slept soundly until I woke up naturally, completely free of fatigue. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, complete with toiletries, and the hot water supply was always available."

I was happy to have free water in the room, but perhaps because Germany is an environmentally advanced country, it was bottled water rather than plastic bottles. It's inconvenient to carry around, but it was enough for making tea in the room. If I had to say something negative, it would be that you have to cross a bridge to get to Cologne Cathedral and the station, but you have to go down a flight of stairs to get to the hotel entrance. It was a bit inconvenient to go up and down with a suitcase."

When I first arrived from the train station, I foolishly didn't look up the route properly and ended up dragging my heavy luggage up and down stairs, when I could have avoided them by taking a different path. Despite the difficult journey to the hotel, the staff greeted us so warmly and genuinely wished my sister a happy birthday that all my weariness turned into joy. And when we got to the room, we were greeted with such an amazing view and a beautiful room! Thanks to this, we had a wonderful time in Cologne for two days, listening to the bells of Cologne Cathedral. When checking out and heading back to the train station, I followed the staff's directions and found a flat, easy route back. Oh, the only minor inconveniences were the opaque glass in the bathroom and having to shower in the bathtub."

"I was able to check in smoothly! It's close to Cologne station and right in front of Cologne Cathedral! The location is fantastic! Opening the window, Cologne Cathedral was right in front of me, making for a truly wonderful day. The amenities were excellent, and they even had beer – perfect for an evening drink. The room was spacious and very clean. It's a little pricey, but considering the location, I think it's on the cheaper side. When I came back after a walk in front of Cologne Cathedral at 6 AM, the automatic door wouldn't open, which was a little scary, but when I pressed the intercom on the left, someone came out to greet me. They helped me several times because I didn't know how to open the lock... It was a wonderful memory. Thank you!!"

"Stayed as a couple at Club King Double room for 5 nights during the Amphi Festival. Pros: - Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport. - Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6). - Amazing bed. - Full-size working desk in the room. - Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly. - The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge. - The food was amazing. Cons: - The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day. - Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point). Overall: - Highly recommend, would stay again."
