Was ‘downgraded’ to the other building instead of Mercader. Would have been good if we had been informed before we arrived so that we can arrange for drop off separately instead of lugging our luggages across 2 streets. Unit was a little dusty and some areas need fixing.

It was a nightmare. I stayed here this time because I had stayed here a few years ago. At that time, because the apartment was still together with Murmuri, I had to check in at the front desk of Murmuri Hotel. This time, I went to the hotel front desk to check in and was told that it had been separated from the apartment and was now two companies. The hotel rooms are beautifully decorated with high floors. The hotel is in a very central location, which makes it easy to travel, shop, and eat. Hotel front desk service is warm. The parking lot is not far from the hotel and walks across the road for about 5 minutes. It needs to be stamped at the front desk of the hotel. Parking in Barcelona is not very cheap. I gave an overall rating of 4 because, all things considered, I am pleased with our stay. However, things did not begin well when, after reserving, I was told I would be staying at the ‘Concepcío’ property instead, though I believe no related info was presented during the reservation process. I consider this a ‘bait and switch’ approach, and I am sad to say that neither ******* nor Murmuri would take ownership of this apparent deception. In fact, one of the two ‘live’ Murmuri employees with whom I spoke said, as I understand it, that there are only 2 rental apartments at Murmuri, the building advertised in the listing. But on-site, the biggest downside to the property is that, except for limited daytime hours, the ‘reception’ function is performed entirely remote; the human beings responsible are available only by phone (intermittent pickup; automated greeting in Spanish apparently) or by internal phone within the lobby. My wife and I arrived at 10PM on a dark street, unable at first to reach reception by phone, and with no entry code having been provided. When we did connect, audio quality was inadequate to get things taken care of without great frustration and fear that we would be left on the street. The apartment is okay, but the hassles are daunting.

The property is in fantastic location, just few minutes walk to metro station, coffee shop, dining and attractions (Casa Milla, Casa Batllo, Casa Vicents). We got an upgrade to 2 bedroom apartment which was much needed and appreciated after a long flight. The apartment is spacious and had everything that we look for. Highly recommended.

Communication was confusing- information about the Mercader location differed from Concepcio one.I was told i might have early check-in but the computer check-in device had no record of that, so had to wait until 3 pm anyway.

Fantastic apartment in an incredible location. Huge with everything you needed for a very comfortable stay. There were a few issues in the back deck area. Many slats of wood were broken and if you walked over them your foot would go through which was dangerous to say the least. The apartment was a little dated and could use a little freshening up but as I stated before it really was a well thought out massive space to enjoy Barcelona.

From check-in to check-out, our experience was wonderful. The lady in reception very kindly upgraded us, which was a nice surprise. The apartment had everything we needed and was clean, bright and spacious. Will definitely return when we visit Barcelona again.

We booked Murmuri Residence Mercader where we had stayed before and were put in a separate property called GREC. This place was filthy dirty, tired and not as it should be or advertised. All members of our family staying were bitten by insects and mites in the property. We should be given a full refund having complained at the location together with compensation for the bites and distress caused. I do have photos to demonstrate and verify the comments above. Never again!!!!
