We had an amazing stay at Shangri La for summer vacation with kids. Hotel is very safe and comfortable to stay with young kids. All staff is dedicated all day and night long to provide the best experience. Hotel and facilities are clean and well maintained. The swimming pool is amazing and kids can spend our on the slide. The beach is just across swimming pool. Breakfast buffet is a perfect mix of Chinese and Western breakfast to satisfy everyone. Dinner buffet is also amazing, including the wide sashimi/sushi/roll bar.

I enjoyed my short trip to Beihai at the Crowne Plaza. The facilities met my expectations and I enjoyed the indoor swimming pool during the hot summer day. Breakfast provided a wide variety of assorted foods and hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating of foreigners. I didn't book a sea view room so the view was average, but the room had everything I needed to have a very comfortable stay. Hotel staff helped me place an order for McDonald's food as my travel to the hotel was late in the evening (by that time the hotels kitchen and restaurant had stopped operating for the day). They even had the delivery guy give the food to me at my room door for which they greeted me and apologised for the disturbance/inconvenience caused because their kitchen was not operational at that time. My money was well spent. I am happy 😁

The reception staff is very helpful, although more English-speaking staff would be advisable as most of the staff does not speak English and it is a 5star hotel. I would like to mention Lisa who speaks English and was very helpful, providing useful information regarding hotel facilities, Covid test places and places of interest. Big up to Lisa! The breakfast buffet is okay, but the pastry choice is a bit limited and, generally, it feels that the hotel does not really cater for western guests (mainly Chinese dishes). The buffet lounge is full of light; it is very spacious and facing the seaside, which is great. However, the cleanliness can be improved as the tables and the floor were not cleaned quickly enough, and my table and the floor under it were greasy/dirty. The facilities are quite varied. The pools, gym, tennis court, steam room were used during my stay and they were in good condition. The steam room takes a long time to heat up though. The staff in the gym/swimming pool does not speak English at all. The table tennis room and some other facilities were under maintanace during our stay, so we did not use them. Overall, the hotel has more recreational facilities than most hotels. Well done! Regarding the location, the hotel is on the coast, but the sea is not swimmable there, so you can only enjoy the view. The hotels near the main Silver beach (for example, Crowne Plaza) are considerably more expensive (about 500rmb difference), so a 30-min taxi ride there (costs around 30 rmb one way) still makes the Furama hotel a much more economical option. The sea view from the rooms is very nice! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and a late checkout was highly appreciated! My rating of the hotel is 4.5.

This is not the first time I have stayed here. Every time I come, my kids are reluctant to leave. The hotel facilities are very complete, the smart home in the room is very considerate, the breakfast is also rich, and more importantly, the hotel service is very attentive. My kid didn’t want to go back to his room after swimming all day~ The only indoor swimming pool on the island was so crazy about it! Every time you take a photo, it is very romantic and full of vacation experience. In addition, the butler service is warm and thoughtful and helps us arrange the whole trip properly. The decoration inside the house is relatively sloppy, especially near the windows on the north side, there is a lot of air leakage, and the air conditioner will also involve the problem of smell in the kitchen. Before arriving at the hotel, the hotel customer service warmly called to ask if there was any need. Since I had a child, I asked for extra bed rails. After checking in, the hotel upgraded the suite to a sea view suite. The bed rails had also been installed. All supplies were online and bedside. The alarm clock is actually a JBL, and also has the function of a Bluetooth speaker, and the details are perfect. We had breakfast and dinner in the Shiguang buffet restaurant on the first floor. Personally, I felt that the staple food tasted average, but the desserts were more satisfying. Because the temperature dropped on both days and the wind was very strong, we could almost only play in the hotel, and we visited all the parent-child playgrounds in the hotel. Also, I can feel that the hotel's customer service staff are trying their best to provide good service. All in all a good experience.

I went to Weizhou Island for the second time to watch the whales and found this treasure hotel by accident. The hotel is more stylish. A very large hotel is said to have only eleven yards. We have booked a family suite that is more suitable for our second-child family. There are two bedrooms and one living room. The eldest lived alone in the second bedroom on the second floor. The two of us took Erbao to live in the master bedroom and the beds in the two bedrooms. They are all big beds, and this type of apartment really seems to be tailor-made for a second-child family like us. The last time I came to Weizhou Island, I have seen all the scenic spots on the island. This time I mainly brought children to watch whales 🐳. The housekeeper provided by the hotel is very professional, and has made a itinerary for us according to our needs-going to the sea to watch whales, catch crabs in the sea. The hotel helped to book a boat seat for whale watching. It has to be mentioned here. Considering that we are two adults with two children, and Erbao is only three years old, the hotel specially arranged a housekeeper to follow us to the sea. Taking care of the children, we found out that this arrangement was really very thoughtful after we went to sea. When we were watching the whales on the return journey, the sea was windy, and both of us were seasick. Fortunately, a housekeeper took care of the two children for us. The butler took a lot of photos and videos for us when we were whales, and they were very professional (the circle of friends we posted were all taken by the butler), what was even more touching was that the butler saw that we were all seasick and informed the hotel in advance Ginger tea was cooked for us. When we returned to the hotel and entered the room, a pot of warm ginger tea had been delivered to us, which warmed the stomach and heart. My husband said that maybe it was because of the linen in the new store. For a relatively new reason, I only found out after asking the housekeeper that this hotel has installed a fresh air system and a dehumidification system, and the hardware equipment is good! Second, after I checked in, the housekeeper Xiaoliang provided attentive service throughout the entire stay. During this period, my contact lenses fell into the basin and sewer. Someone was immediately sent to help me remove them and take them out. Thirdly, I lost the charger when I checked out, but they put it at the front desk for me. The most considerate thing is that I checked out and stayed on Weizhou Island for two days. I wanted to stay in a family room again, but that room type was fully booked. After the housekeeper Xiaoliang found out, he kept helping me keep an eye on the room status. As soon as a room became available, he immediately upgraded me to a family room for free. It was really great👍🏻 The children really love the parent-child room. The breakfast at the hotel was also great. There is a direct access to Silver Beach Beach. There is no need to spend money for foot massage outside. When you walk into the hotel door, there is a place for free foot massage, which is very user-friendly.
