My son and I have just got back from an amazing stay at habberly house, the owners, Alan and John could not be more welcoming, and the food was lovely, both the evening meal and the breakfasts, they could not have done more for us, even making my son toast at 9.45pm- it was like staying with friends, and it just made our holiday, we will be back, thanks again x

Alan and John were fantastic hosts from the moment we arrived to the end of our 6 day stay. Room was very comfortable and the continental breakfast set us both up for each day. Would highly recommend - a great stay and great value for money. Already booked for next year.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We booked this hotel on 12/07/23 to stay for a couple of days for the 28/07/23 until 30/07/23. We rang the bell and after 5 minutes the door was opened by the partner of ownership of the hotel. He ask is to come in and within 15 seconds became the most arragant snotty aggressive person. He ask us to leave as he had book someone else in to our room that morning. No sorry or nothing me and my partner had to find another hotel to stay in. But defo would not recommend this hotel to anyone

We had the most amazing holiday at Habberly House. John and Alan were so welcoming they were so helpful and advised us on where the best places to go where with the kids on an evening. The most beautiful rooms, softest pillows and quilts. Beautifully cooked breakfast and range of cereal pastry's and fruit. Looking forward to coming back again in a few weeks. And the cutest little dog in the world. Thankyou so much lovelys💙

Nothing bit good words for the accommodation, the owners and the food. Room size excellent, bed so comfy and tea / coffee tray full and replenished at request. John and Alan as host were great, pleasent, only to willing to assist and the food was bang on for me. Breakfast multiple choice with cooked, cereal and fruit etc all avaliable. We stayed 2 nights and ate there both nights as with what was delivered on the plate why would we want to go anywhere else.

Booked this hotel on the 17th of September, on arrival the front of this building is nothing like the photographs that advertise it, run down and basically false advertising, we were shown to our room and walked in and the first thing that hits you is a damp smell, battery operated airfresher is there to disguise it through. Shower room filthy, mat on the floor ingrained with dirt and hairs but the best was when l lifted the toilet seat to use the loo, absolutely disgusting. Urine stains and dust in the hinges of the seat, so there was no way l was sitting on that. I ran along the skirting board with a wipe and it was filthy. The bedding was lovely and clean because it was new,the rest was just disgraceful. The staff were informed and offered to clean the room but if it can't be clean on arrival just goes to show poor housekeeping. A cooked breakfast is also offered in the price and stated in the description of the hotel but we were informed a cooked breakfast was at an extra cost and only a continental is available. We left and were kindly asked not to give a bad review but why shouldn't we, we walked round the corner and knocked on a hotels door and were given a room that was cheaper than Habberley House and was immaculate.

What a wonderful welcome we received, very accommodating and friendly! We took our dog who was also made very welcome! John is an excellent host, he cooked us breakfast just to our liking! However you pay extra £4 for a full English, which is fair enough. Our room was clean and comfortable! The bed and pillows were just perfect for us. Toilet and shower in the room seemed new and everywhere was decorated lovely! Yea making facilities in the room and tv. One set of drawers but nowhere to hang your coat! However I found some coat hangers and a ledge so I could hang it up! There were plenty of electric sockets at either side of the bed so we had no problems with charging our phones. John liked to chat to you and is a lovely person, who I’m sure would try to help you with anything if he could. Overall we had a nice stay and the location is ideal for the many pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes, take aways and fish and chip shops. All the pubs we went were friendly and we could take our dog in! One of the best fish and chip shops, Yorkshire fisheries was right next to the cask ale pub which had great ale and ciders! I was able to park my car outside on the single yellow line with the use of my blue badge and it was quite safe for the 3 nights we were there. A big thank you to John our wonderful host.
