The hotel is rustic/historic so it is not kept to the same standards as some surrounding hotels. I believe it was built in 1977, so it does have some issues. The room itself is nice, comes with a hair dryer, ironing board, microwave, and fridge. It has a shower/tub combo, great for little kids. They offered free WiFi and breakfast. We didn’t ask about breakfast due to COVID, but other reviews said they had a brown bag of a few items. The staff was friendly and great when we had to interact with any. We did have a kid above us that ran back and forth and jumped for about and hour and a half so it was hard to get the kids to sleep with the noise (I never complain unless I need to, but we did have to call about the kid jumping on the bed and the staff was great at handling it).. There is a small parking garage under the motel, maybe 15 spots available. We would stay here again. There are pros and cons of this motel. PRO: The room was clean, great size for my husband, myself, and 2 small kids. Some amenities, right in downtown Carson City so many local places you can walk to if wanted. CONS: The shower is not really meant for anyone taller than 5’7”. I am 5’6” and I can touch the ceiling and the shower head is perfect height for me, someone around 6' might not get much of their head wet. Under the bed wasn’t vacuumed very well, found some crumbs, play fingernails, and a laminated photo of a kid. The WiFi didn’t connect for us and most of the tv stations were unavailable due to an interruption in service

I haven't written a hotel review in a while because I primarily use air bnb when I travel now. However, my mom and I recently took a road trip and chose to stay at hotels along the way. We stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. Yes, this hotel does have some outdated decor. However, it is clearly well taken care of. Our room appeared to be freshly painted and was very clean. We checked in very late (at about 10-11pm) and the man at the front desk was so friendly. We stayed in the king suite as that was the only room available. I cannot speak to the sofa couch, because we brought an air mattress. But my mom loved the king bed and said it was incredibly comfortable. The black out curtains in both the living room and the bedroom worked perfectly and helped us have two comfortable night's sleep. While this isn't a 5 star hotel, I am giving a 5/5 because of their hospitality. We had a few minor issues (missing ice bucket, plastic still up where things were painted) and each time we called, every person we spoke with was so friendly and took care of what we needed. When we checked in, the man told us the hotel was sold out for the first time in a very long time. Despite how busy they were, they were still attentive and friendly (which is NOT the case at all hotels--no matter what the star rating). I cannot speak on the breakfast, as we didn't take advantage of that. I will say it's a little laughable that some people are so critical of the breakfast. We only paid $82 a night! I don't know what people expect for that kind of value. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Carson City. The price is right, and the service is great.

When you go to Lake Tahoe, the hotel is economical and the car stops at the door of the room. The little brother at the front desk was very nice. The toilet in our room was leaking. I told the front desk, and someone came to repair it. The hotel is ok.

The hotel and amenities were on par with what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. The parking lot was pretty well lit and common areas were clean. In my room, however, I was surprised to find a used k-cup in the coffee maker. There was a clump of hair on the bathroom counter, some mildew in the tub/shower, and it was clear from the built-up soap residue that the shower hadn't been cleaned well in a while. The kicker, though, was the used, rolled-up bandage that I found just underneath the chair in my room. Disappointed in finding this at a Holiday Inn. Felt taken advantage of experiencing this at the price I paid for the room. Stayed someplace else my second night in Carson City. Paid a bit more. It was money very well spent.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was amazing, hot waffles, sausage, eggs, potato’s and bacon, plus non hot items too like cereal. Wifi was fast and easy to use. Bed was pretty comfy but could’ve used a better comforter. The shower and bathroom set up was kinda weird, there wasn’t a door for the vanity area so if youre staying with other people just keep that in mind. The hot tub was great too it’s outdoor so the temp is perfect and we really enjoyed our white claw that we bought from the front desk in the hot tub. Overall a really great stay!

Excellent ,Better breakfast, need to have quality food, and more hot quality foods and drinks. Better cleaning, more towels needed. Laundry not ready, washer brokedown, and expensive: $2.00 per wash, $1.75 per dry.
