Upon arriving to the hotel, the front desk staff were very friendly. Although this is my first time in China and I was unsure of check-in procedure, they quickly got me through check-in and made me feel quite relaxed almost immediately. During my stay, I ordered room service nearly every evening and although I speak no Chinese, the staff were very patient and helpful to make sure that they were receiving my order correctly. The view from the rooms is incredible and the service at the hotel has been great. I highly recommend that if you are visiting Changzhou for business or pleasure that you stay at the Marriot Hotel in Xinbei district. It is also very centrally located with easy access to entertainment, shopping malls, restaurants and the light rail stations to travel to other cities in China. Additionally, the restaurants, pool, outdoor basketball court, coffee shop, and other services in the hotel make it a convenient place to stay if it is your first time in China or Changzhou as it is mine. For work related reasons my trip in Changzhou was extended and I have enjoyed my stay at the Marriot hotel so much that I decided to extend my stay here and upgrade my room to include the executive lounge (totally worth it if you stay here, it's like having access to an Emirates level lounge with a view every day). In summary, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are lovely, and the services provided make your stay very convenient! I highly recommend staying at the Changzhou Marriot in Xinbei District during your time here!

The newly opened hotel is very large. When staying during the Spring Festival, the lobby and aisles are really cold, probably due to energy saving. The swimming pool is the highlight, there is a small jacuzzi, the water temperature is very hot, suitable for children to play in the water. There are no swimming laps and floating boards in the swimming pool, you can only buy what you need. The room is nice, facing the lake, it's dark at night, and there's nothing to see. Trash bins and tissue boxes are poorly placed and seem to save money. There is a children's club, how should I put it, just some magnetic building blocks, and no one brings them to do some small crafts. Maybe this hotel is positioned as a business hotel, and the baby has nothing to do. Let's talk about the Happy hour on the executive floor, starting at 15 o'clock, just a few small biscuits. The light meal in the evening starts at 17:30. Because of the Spring Festival, people are waiting for something to eat before 17:00. There is nothing to eat, and the level of 15 box lunches, the expectation is lowered, and it is enough to fill the stomach. There is also a strange thing, the baby's birthday, the hotel is very good at offering cakes, and the phone communicated that it can be delivered in the afternoon on the day of check-in, but it didn't come anyway. At 22:54 in the evening, the whole family was already asleep, and suddenly heard the doorbell, thinking What a big deal, but the door said that a cake was delivered... I didn't sleep well all night!
