"The hygiene is average. As soon as I entered the room, I was touched by spider silk on my face. The hardware facilities are average and the room is relatively small, especially the bathroom. It doesn't look very clean, and the mirror is made of two pieces, but the shampoo is still ok. The service was very warm and welcoming. The service staff called us several times to tell us how to get there before we even arrived. They also picked us up at the bus stop at the entrance of the hotel, which is easily identifiable, and helped us carry our luggage inside. The environment in the hotel courtyard is quite good, but the room, especially the bathroom, cannot be complimented. Another reminder is that the tatami mattress is very heavy, so I felt like I had to spread it myself. Because I injured my finger, I asked the waiter to help spread it, but the waiter still came to help spread it."

"The overall feeling of staying at your hotel this time exceeded expectations! First of all, the location is very convenient, just in the Sengguanfeng Scenic Area, you can walk up, too friendly for tourists. The front desk staff is warm and professional, check-in is efficient, and the details are full!
The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was comfortable, especially the water pressure and hot water stability in the bathroom (too important for tired travelers). The sound insulation effect is also very good, and the rest is very quiet at night. The breakfast is rich in variety, the ingredients are fresh and replenished in time."

"The whole house is smart and convenient. For lazy people like me, you can move your mouth. I ordered takeaway for dinner. A small robot sent it upstairs. Chengde is indeed a summer resort. Although the temperature is not low during the day, it is really cool at night. I wanted to come out for a walk at night. Feel it in the compound, I persuaded myself to withdraw. "The newly opened rooms of the hotel are relatively new, the sanitation is in place and the mattress is comfortable. The hotel has four floors. The room is a bit small. The door and the adjacent room are very close. The sound insulation has almost no effect. The corridor and the room can be heard clearly. The door is closed without force. It is too noisy. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, the smart toilet is convenient, the toiletries are of good quality, and the hot water is very fast. But the air conditioning direction in the bedroom is unreasonable, and the air outlet is facing the head of the bed, even if the wind speed is very small, it is very blowing. There is a parking lot in the yard, and there are basically parking spaces when you come back. It is no problem to walk for 15 minutes from the Mountain Resort. There is no dinner. Breakfast is 28. "The order showed that the room was on the first floor, but after arriving at the store, it was upgraded to the 4th floor. The room was clean, tidy and bright. You could lie on the simple couch by the window to bask in the sun, and watch the river view to the west and the traffic to the east. Parking is convenient and charging of new energy vehicles is easy. There is a large supermarket next to the hotel, which is suitable for shopping and dining. There is a bus stop to the Outer Eight Temples right in front of the hotel, and shared electric cars are also available. To get to the Summer Resort, walk across the river to the Wanshu Garden Gate, which takes about ten minutes to stroll. There are a full range of Chinese and Western breakfast options, and the millet and red date porridge is recommended."

"This time I went to Chengde and booked the Puning Hotel, which is very close to the Little Potala Palace, museums, and Puning Temple. There are also many places to eat in the surrounding area and all kinds of conveniences. The courtyard of the hotel is bright and spacious, and the parent-child room with a small courtyard is very satisfactory. The service is excellent. In addition to snacks, facial masks and plasters are thoughtfully prepared as gifts, and the details are full of details. Firstly, we needed to drop our bags off at 10am once the train arrived in Gubeikou and they were so happy to let us into our room/hold our bags that early. Then they subsequently wowed us with their hospitality. They gave us their contact so they could give us a ride back to the accommodation from the base of the walk at Jinshanling at the end of the day. They upgraded our room. They recommended an excellent and well priced restaurant for dinner (across the road). They arranged a car to take us to the base of the wall at 0320 for sunrise. The room was beautiful, clean and beds so comfy after a day walking the wall

GGuest UserThe stay experience was very good!!! The housekeeper of Anaya Lanye Hotel 1V1 did the service to the extreme. I would like to thank the housekeeper Miss Yuxuan! The whole hotel is in Japanese style, and the lobby and room decoration are very Japanese, fresh and elegant.
Two tickets to the main temple of Jianshan will be given upon check-in, free public soup for two people, breakfast is one of three choices (Japanese set meal of Xiaoye, Chinese breakfast of the first canteen and wild vegetable steamed dumplings and grains of Shangu Shiwei), coupons for spa discount of 100 per person, and two coffee coupons. Then because of my husband's birthday, an extra bottle of sake was given. When I left, I also gave hawthorn fruit and hand cream as souvenirs.
The facilities in the room are also very complete, and the hot spring clothes provided are very comfortable to wear. I wear them as pajamas! Although there is no TV, you can borrow a projector. A lot of drinks and snacks are provided for free, which can be refilled unlimitedly, and an extra one was given when I left. The room also provides a full set of tools for homemade desserts (water Shingen cakes and matcha), so that you can experience the fun of hands-on.
The hotel campus is not large, but it arranges a lot of rich activities, such as hiking, various handicraft classes, night lantern tours and stargazing, etc. There is also a shuttle bus to take you to the second phase at any time. The weekend stay is not boring. I will go there again during the summer vacation!

The surrounding is cozy, the room are clean with no cigarette odour even they provide ash tray in the room (suggest owner take away the ash tray and put a notice smoke at provider smoking area out side the premises), toilet are bright and water pressure is good (but hope the owner can make a little bit changes for the wiring system of the water heater), the food is tasty and size are too big for solo traveller (suggest to owner set a
price for small size for not wasting food), the owner parents are friendly and always give the good service. At night, surrounding is quite and good to rest. it is a walking distance to Jing shang ling tourist center but if planning to do the sunrise walk the owner will provide a transfer service to the entrance at 330am. Overall it is a good choice to stay here.

Lli lianOur stay was very pleasant. The location was super perfect. Just outside the entrance to the ticketing counter to enter the jinshanling Great wall . The family was very welcoming and the room was spotlessly clean and was very toughtfully planned. The room looked like it was newly renovated. Itbwas a vrry cosy room. Breakfast was nice and warm and good portions. Can order dinner too and the homecooked food was delicious. . The owner also gave us a ride to Gubei for a very fair fee. I really like this place and would like to.come back

GGuest UserHighly recommend. We live in China and have stayed in a few different cities/hotels now and this was by far the best. The building is historic and beautiful and extremely well maintained. The rooms feel brand new and are very thoughtfully laid out. The room comes with all kinds of small conveniences in case you forgot something or need something. The staff were all extremely helpful and welcoming, from the front office staff to the housekeeping to the repair men. We arrived late on a stormy night and they went out of their way to help us figure out dinner. When the weather got worse and spoiled our plans, the staff did everything they could to rescue the weekend, even at the hotels expense. We plan to come back again when the weather is nicer and will 100% stay here. I can't imagine why you would stay anywhere else, especially if you're there to sightsee. The hotel opens directly into the park, it's wonderful.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the summer resort. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the main entrance of the villa, and it is only a few minutes' taxi ride from the Waiba Temple. The lady at the front desk was enthusiastic and recommended discounted performance tickets and Bashang Grassland. I added the Rongrong Butler of their hotel on WeChat, which made it very convenient to consult if I had any questions. They sent me Chengde travel guide, which was very considerate. The room was clean and the restaurant was delicious. The security guard had a good and responsible attitude when directing the parking. We were given a plate of fruit when we checked in, and my son was given a small toy when we left. Overall satisfied and recommended.

GGuest UserStayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay.

LLEEPKJOThe only hotel inside the jinshanling great wall. Next to the entrance of the ticket and cable car station. Only 1 Chinese restaurant that served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices of the food are reasonable and portions are huge. Room is as per the picture. We have 2 rooms, 1 facing car park and 1 mountain. No greatwall view as is hidden behind the mountain.
Service is excellent, they will provide pick up service from tourist centre and east gate entrance. We walked from the central to the east and contacted them via WeChat to pick us up from there. When we checked out, they told them we wanted to go a restaurant near the tourist centre, they did the extra mile to send us there instead of just alighting at the tourist centre.
Staff are extra friendly. I saw them looking for 4 guests who dine at the restaurant the night before who dropped at 100yuan. The next morning when we were there for breakfast, they checked whether did we sat at the table for dinner last night. They were still searching for the guests to return the money. Super honest!
However, cleanliness can be improved, the ceiling fan was super dusty. Behind the hotel, next to the greatwall entrance, there are some farmers restaurants and mingshu too.

GGary Ong Wei KiatAbsolutely loving this place! The vibes is totally awesome and a nice place to chill with lots of activities to do, though unfortunately we only had one night here as we only planned to hike Jin Shan Ling, but we will definitely be back for more next round!
Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing.
They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice.
One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so!
Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us.
Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes).
All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon!

GGuest UserThe hostel is super trendy! Walking in, I had to make sure I was at the right place because the reception is a cosy bar! The staff did not speak English but we overcame the language barriers using WeChat. Everyone is very friendly and patient! Even the dog called 由由!
The cubicle beds are more luxurious than other hostels I stayed at. They are spacious and provide almost complete privacy. I also received slippers, so it was extra cosy!
The bathroom can be improved because without shower curtain even the toilet gets wet, but it is spacious enough to keep your clothes dry.
This hostel is suitable for longer stays as well, especially with friends because they have many activities and games at the hostel. Reception helps with the organisation of tours to the grasslands and many other trips as well (although these tours are fully in Chinese. So some Chinese language skills are recommended).
If I ever return to Chengde, then I will stay there again!
