Ritz Carlton Hotels in Chengdu

Location, location, location! Only take 2 minutes walking from Chunxi Road MRT - Exit E1 and IFS/Taikoo Li, also easily access to other attractions by mrt. There are many local restaurants, hotpot and shops nearby. The staff is friendly and working 24/7 which help us check-in at 3AM, though they dont tallk english but can communicate through translate app. The room is clean, hot water is good. The breakfast is simple. We definitely book again the hotel when come back.

We really enjoyed our stay and the hotel was comfortable, clean and very conveniently located. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. My only minor niggle was that at breakfast I asked the chef for a soft yolk egg, as the Chinese prefer to cook the yolks until hard. He said no. But as I left after finishing my breakfast, I saw soft yolked eggs now available. Perhaps it was my poor Chinese and he hadn’t understood what I asked for. Hope so. Also, I’ve stayed in hotels in China that provide real bacon for breakfast, not the reconstituted stuff lots of places use. Sadly, this wasn’t one of them. I live in hope.

35–40 minutes taxi ride from Chengdu Tianfu Airport Location was not hard to find. Construction happening near the entrance to the hotel. 24 hour reception, that’s a plus, I arrived around 3am and checking in was a breeze. Got one keycard and room only gets powered on by inserting. (Including ac) 2 out of 3 elevators working, not an issue until its peak time for workers as the building shares the hotel and office buildings. You may have to wait 5-6 minutes for an elevator. Also, people here are not shy in squeezing in on the elevator for some reason. I was on the 16th floor. My only issue was that the soundproofing is really bad, the cleaning staff room was next to my room so I heard every door slam for almost 2-3 hours daily. It’s April, it gets chilly at night and hot in the morning. The air con remote never went below 26 even when I changed it to 21-22. The air blowing speed actually works, at night in the middle of your sleep you will get cold! Haha The television is a little outdated but who watches television while on vacation?? The outlet and plugs are a huge plus! Having usb to it really helped. Washing clothes was great! It was on the 2nd floor and it was free including detergent. The only nightmare was the dryers. 4 washing machines 2 dryers. The dryers did not dry at all, atleast for me and another person after one hour of only drying sleepwear. So I took them back tot he room and hung them on the hangers (6) provided in the closet. The hotel is next to two pharmacies. The nearest family mart is across the street and you have to take the above head pedestrian walkway over, which is quite a walk. Check out was a breeze. I would definitely come again.

I love this hotel very much! The hotel is quite old but the room is very clean. There’s even a personal assistant whom you can chat with via WeChat. They can help you accept parcels and deliveries before sending them to your room using a machine. The breakfast is decent for the price too! All the staffs are very polite. Will definitely return!

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a modern design and all the essential amenities. The bed was cozy, and the bathroom was well-equipped. I appreciated the complimentary bottled water and reliable Wi-Fi. Overall, Dorsett Chengdu is a great choice for both business and leisure travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and good value. Dorsett Chengdu is located near Chunxi Road Metro Station and Luomashi Metro Station, but the most convenient is: 🚇 Luomashi Station (骡马市站) – Exit F Lines: Line 1 and Line 4 The hotel is just a short walk from this exit F

1. Disappointed a little bit as I couldn't manage to check in my room due to a room shortage as I need to return back in the late afternoon in order for me to enter the room. 2. The bathroom bathtub requires some maintenance and cleaning since it's an old hotel. 3. Informed the staff standing at the entrance asking to please inform me when my airport transfer vehicle arrive but they ignored it. 

We've had an absolute pleasant transit stay in Chengdu here. You can reach the hotel with subway line 1 (coming from TFU only 1 exchange, 50 min travel time). Nice and big rooms, comfortable beds. We can definitely recommend to stay here, the Sichuan flavored breakfast was awesome.

Good value hotel for a big city like Chengdu. The area is nice, and it's very close to the subway and the place where the bus going to the Panda Research Center starts its journey. The rooms are big and comfy

The first room we got had a smoking smell in the room vem it was on a non smoking floor. I had informed the hotel and they had changed us to a new room. Over all the hotel is great. Just it old be great if the hotel can enforce n non smoking policy more restrictedly.
