"Had a fantastic stay with our 5-year-old! The hotel thoughtfully provided kids' slippers, toothbrushes, and even some small toys, which absolutely delighted our child. The room was spacious, giving our child plenty of room to play, and they loved it so much they didn't want to leave! There were numerous dining options nearby, and we appreciated the convenience of robot delivery for food takeaways directly to our room. The 'Squirrel Butler' service was excellent; both housekeeping and the front desk staff went out of their way to greet our child, making us feel truly at home. We highly recommend this hotel for families!"

JJaneyyy89This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms.
Some noteworthy details:
- Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort.
- The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include:
(a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now!
(b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room
(c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C.
(d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold.
- Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them.
- We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away.
- We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2.
- Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too.
- We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests.
Areas of improvement:
- Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake.
- The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper.
- Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor).

Upon arrival, the French-style castle-style exterior captivated me; I felt like I'd been transported to Europe. Entering the lobby, I was struck by the opulent decor, exquisite details, and artistic flair—perfect for photo ops. During check-in, the front desk staff was warm and attentive, not only swiftly processing my paperwork but also offering recommendations for nearby attractions. 🌈🧋
The room was absolutely amazing—spacious, bright, and clean. The bedding was incredibly soft, and I slept incredibly well. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, and the toiletries were high-quality. The complimentary drinks and snacks in the minibar added a touch of excitement to my stay. The breakfast was also fantastic, with a wide variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, and the freshly made beef noodles were incredible! 🧋
The hotel is conveniently located for travel, dining, and shopping. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chengdu! 🌈

The front desk associate, with her incredibly sweet smile, greeted us with a warm 'Welcome!', which instantly put us at ease. Upon learning it was our anniversary, she proactively upgraded us to a room with a better view and even provided complimentary welcome fruit and drink vouchers. She patiently answered all our questions about local attractions and and marked them on a map for us. This kind of exceptional care, truly going above and beyond our expectations, gave our entire trip a wonderful start!

GGuest UserI went to Chengdu for personal reasons and chose Crowne Plaza Wenjiang. I think it is one of the best hotels in terms of hotel facilities, location and service. The lobby is magnificent and eye-catching. The waiters are polite and enthusiastic, and they are courteous and relieve guests' worries. The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable. AAnonymous UserThe facilities are amazing. The hotel is located around 20-30 minutes to city centre (Chun Xi, IFC, etc). However, cleanliness really has to be questioned. All the pillows smell really bad (smells like saliva of people who slept here before). It really made it unbearable to sleep. Hope the housing keeping team can keep up next time.
Also, I ordered delivery quite late on the first night. I understand it was also the fault of the delivery driver since he sent it to “快递” instead of “外卖”。 To give context, the delivery arrived at around 11:30. Nothing came up and had to call like 3 times. For the first two times, all I was told is “There is a robot delivery going on and it might be yours. However, there is nothing else here for your room.” So, on the third time I had to tell them to check again since it was already way past 12:15. Only then, they found out the driver put it at the wrong place and I received it at like 12:30.
Apart from these, it was a pleasant stay and would come back as long as cleanliness can be improved. No one wants to sleep with smelly pillows :)

MM496711****This hotel truly made me feel 'at home away from home,' incredibly warm and comfortable. I was traveling with my child during the summer vacation, but Chengdu turned out to be unbelievably hot. As soon as we stepped out of the high-speed rail station, we were hit by a heatwave. I hurried to the hotel with our luggage, hoping to check in quickly and get some rest. However, I started feeling unwell and a bit carsick during the ride, and by the time we arrived at the hotel entrance, I was already feeling extremely dizzy.
The front desk staff immediately noticed I wasn't feeling well and quickly came over to check on me. They prioritized my check-in, inquired about my symptoms, and even went to a nearby pharmacy to get me some Huoxiang Zhengqi water. They also took my luggage to my room, where they had already turned on the air conditioning. After resting for a while, I felt much better. They also provided extra bottled water and kindly advised me to stay hydrated in the heat to prevent heatstroke.
They all seemed quite young, but their meticulousness and patience were truly commendable. They deserve a huge compliment!

WWeiIt's a nice stylist hotel. Clean. Breakfast buffet was only okay, food that should've been warm was a bit cold most mornings. There is a restaurant outside the window that is quiet loud at night but they stopped by the time we went to bed (midnight). Location is fine if you are happy to call a taxi to any attractions.

ZZhaXi686I was very pleased with this stay. Firstly, the front desk team promptly addressed my needs. Having stayed at this hotel many times in Chengdu, I particularly appreciate its excellent location, which is incredibly convenient for both public transport and taxis. Secondly, the hotel consistently upgrades my room. Having a suite with a small living room is incredibly convenient, especially for longer stays. I sincerely hope they can maintain this high standard. It will undoubtedly be my top choice whenever I visit Chengdu in the future.

CCeeVieAreThis is my first visit to Chengdu and Qionglai city. This hotel or courtyard stay is affiliated to Wyndham Garden along Wenjun Street i.e. big square with various shops for shopping (sports attire brands, yinshion, Miniso), dining and decors perfect for social media posting. Dining options include McD, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Chagee, Naixue, Heytea, Mixue and local brand dining or beverage operators. Outside the square/Wyndham Garden there are Lawson, Family Mart, 7 eleven and local Hongqiao marts(prices lower). Local mini restaurants selling Sichuan food, noodles, dumplings, snacks are also available outside the square/garden, opposite AllAboutLove bakery and Naixue outlet.
Qionglai city is closely associated with a historical female poet called Zhuo Wenjun. Her residence and Wenjun well built during Han Dynasty is located 10-15 mins walk from Wyndham Garden. Look for Bank of China branch and walk across the street to reach China Construction Bank branch
Then walk straight down until you see a public toilet on your right and cross the street. Walk until you see an open space carpark and go in the carpark you will find Wenjun Residence on your left, entry is free.
You may book a car to Qionglai city from Tianfu airport but be prepared to pay RMB400+ equivalent using trip app. Going back to Chengdu city by car is about RMB200. Standby with some cash if you encounter QR code scan problem. There are also buses and trains options to reach here.
1 -0.5 hours drive you can visit famous Tiantai Mountain, Pingle Ancient Town, Bamboo Canyon Scenic Area ( went there and love it❤️❤️❤) , Yuanwozi winery, etc. ️
My stay was very refreshing and Manager Ma was very helpful and accommodating to all my queries. My travelling plans to nearby attractions was fulfilled despite unfavourable weather, drizzling 2 days non stop. I would recommend for atleast 2 night stays to enjoy 1 day outskirt trip + 1 day chill in the room and enjoy backyard outdoor onsen to relax. Breakfast buffet include western (cereal/salad/eggs/sausages/ham/fries/bread), dimsum, soup, cakoi and soya bean, 3x types of porridges and condiments, local breakfast ( starter or salad, fried rice, meat and vegetable dishes), deserts, local fruits and cut fruits. Hotel staff can also help to order takeouts for you.

2) Location is good because it is enveloped by a few famous narrow alleys selling handicraft, snacks, desserts, souvenirs, Chinese artwork etc, and have endless food stalls, coffee shops that surround the hotel, buzzing with activities all day till at least 11pm.
3) Hotel staff speak minimal English but they do understand it albeit not able to converse freely. Naturally using PTH is best.
4) Staff in the entire hotel are very friendly, courteous, pleasant and accommodating, trying to help in any way possible.
5) Bespectacled night manageress in a black suit was very welcoming and sweet. She offered to upgrade us when the room originally assigned for us was not as quiet as we had requested when we booked it. She led us to see the original one ( 2/F )and the other one ( the quieter one on 3/F ) and let us choose.
6) The upgraded room ( 3/F ) was a suite and it was really nice --- very quiet with courtyard view and tasteful lay out.
7) Cannot praise enough for the delightful suite -- spacious and elegant ; super clean ; smells nice , refreshing and just right not overwhelming ; white crispy bed linen ; daily turn down service; endless supply of fresh bottled water on daily basis ; spotless tumbler and fresh bottle of water by the bedside table every evening; everything you touch is spotless ; wooden flooring matching Chinese wooden furniture in simple design giving out this classy Chinese feel ; free to consume anything for the 1st time in the mini bar ; tea & coffee replenished daily ; kettle and coffee machine; free stationery like scissors, stapler, clips, pencil and pens etc; toiletries like vanity set, combs, toothbrush etc replenished daily ; spacious bathroom with double wash basins and clean white towels ; wash basins in rose gold but not tacky; shower drainage not smooth on 1st night but they fixed it and no prob thereafter ; water pressure from shower was good and plenty of marble top inside shower room for your own toiletries ; bathtub with fresh rose petals on 1st night and various types of bath salt ; big screen to watch telly while in tub ; separate toilet near living room; ample wardrobe space and power operated blinds and black out blinds. They provide steam iron on request but it would be better to have a proper flat iron if you want to press pants and other thicker harder material. Steam iron is only good for silk or plain cotton. Even linen is better with a flat iron.
8) This is a 100% Chinese ambience hotel from lobby to our suite but nothing is gaudy or ostentatious because everything is simple, no fuss, low-key, very clean, good architecture, functional and all colour combo is soothing to the eyes.
9) We ate at their restaurant the 1st night and food was ok -- dan dan noodles slightly overcooked so it was a bit mushy. Fried rice was a huge serving with fresh shrimps and nicely cooked. Tea could be hotter. Service was attentive, efficient and proper.
