TTuan Ying GohSituated within the old town. Filled with food options downstairs. Many stores as well. Touristy place. Don’t expect too much for this price. The general area and room are clean enough. Mattress is thin but didn’t bother me much for my three nights stay. Squad toilet with shower overhead. Small cubicle but enough to move around and does it’s work. Might be hard to find the place, so give the boss a call when you are in the area. He will guide you up this apartment. Stairway is dark and dirty. But then again, for this price. Go with an open mind. Eight person dorm has window that opens out to the outside. Whereas the four person room is much smaller and window opens out to the living room. Btw, the boss stay in the hostel compound too. He’s happy to share his travel stories and recommend places to go.

GGuest UserYou might be a little worried if you don't know how to check in until the last minute, and if you don't speak English or Chinese. When I arrived, the owner was very kind and helped me with a lot of things. The kitchen window was wide open, so it was a little cold inside the building, and the bunk beds had no curtains, so there was no private space at all, but aside from that, the environment was very good. There were people always occupying the living room and sofa, which are shared spaces, and I'm not sure if they were tourists or related people, but you might find it a little uncomfortable. There were no particular cleaning rules, which are common in dormitories, and the check-out time was arbitrary, which was nice, so I felt it was a laid-back place that was typical of Chengdu.

GGuest UserRight next to Wenshu Monastery subway station, getting around is super convenient. This all-female hostel feels safe and thoughtful, it's clean and tidy, and the facilities are all there. My stay was really comfortable. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!

GGuest UserChengdu is a very comfortable city to stay in. Even though it rained occasionally during my few days here, there's a lovely atmosphere perfect for enjoying a coffee in a cafe and watching the rain. The facilities here are quite comprehensive too! You can watch movies, play games, chat, sing and play instruments, have a drink in the evening, and even hit the gym in the basement. It's fantastic!

GGuest UserFirst off, the hygiene was excellent! We stayed for three days, and our room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets and duvet covers, which was very reassuring. There's a private elevator, so no waiting in lines. Plus, the shared ice cream machine was a lifesaver in this scorching summer heat! The owner was very friendly and recommended some great local snacks. Being from the same hometown in Northeast China, they even treated us to a draft beer! So good! 👍

The hygiene is excellent, and the environment is beautiful. It's very convenient for getting around, located right near Taikoo Li, which is bustling with people and lots of stylish young men and women.

XXingzoulvshuiqingshanStaying at the Sunderia Hostel was an amazing experience! It's right next to Wenshu Monastery, so you can walk to the ancient temple, and it's also close to the subway, making it super convenient to get to Chunxi Road and Kuanzhai Alley. There are tons of local eateries nearby, and the staff were really enthusiastic about showing us where to find good food. Our room was cleaned daily, the bedding was soft, and the private bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Downstairs, the common area offers free coffee during the day and turns into a cozy bar with live music at night. Travelers from all over the world gather there to chat and share their travel stories. It's such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, truly a top choice for accommodation in Chengdu!

GGuest UserI stayed at Chengdu XiangPi Inn for one night (April 14–15, 2026) and booked a bed in the 6-person male-only shared room. Overall, it was a solid budget-friendly option, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what you’re looking for. The biggest plus is definitely the price—you get exactly what you pay for, and for a short stay it does the job. The room itself was fairly basic but functional. The bed was decent enough for one night, and the space didn’t feel overly cramped despite having multiple occupants. That said, privacy is minimal, as expected in a shared dorm setup. Cleanliness was okay, though not perfect. The shared bathroom was usable but could have been maintained a bit better, especially during busier hours. If you’re particular about hygiene, this is something to keep in mind. The atmosphere was quiet enough when I stayed, and most guests were respectful, which made it easier to rest. Staff interactions were limited but smooth—check-in and check-out were straightforward without any issues. Overall, Chengdu XiangPi Inn is a practical choice if you’re traveling on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep for a night or two. LLisraekenAt fhe first, I could bot find the hotel, but I talked to the owner and she was so kind and promptly videocalled me and gave me instructions how to get to the hotel which is near to the bus station. The location of the hotel is very convenient, nearby you have a park, many restaurants, pharmacy, bus station. The hotel has some local people many of them were very friendly to me, we shared the food and sit next to each other for some time and talked in chinese. The owner of the hotel can speak English and she will give the clients the best service, she is really outspoken, caring and kind. The bathroom is public, you can share it with others, you can wash your clothes and then hang it. I enjoyed my staying, it is like a dormitory, you have your own bed, but you share the room with the others as the same gender as you.
