GGuest UserFound a hidden gem! The staff were incredibly welcoming throughout my stay, but never intrusive. The room was surprisingly spotless, and the mattress was so soft and comfortable – I slept like a baby. The soundproofing was excellent, completely eliminating any noise, and all the facilities were top-notch. It's easy to find, and super convenient for food, drinks, and entertainment. Amazing value for money, I'll definitely be booking here again for my next trip!

AAnonymous UserThe location of this hotel is quite far from Chengdu city center. If you're coming by train, expect to transfer at least twice followed by a 40-minute bus ride. The journey takes you through a large industrial zone, and the area around the hotel feels pretty deserted with almost no shops, restaurants, or attractions. To see anything interesting, you’ll need to take another bus for at least 30 minutes. On the positive side, the lobby is standard and the staff are very helpful and enthusiastic during check-in. They offer a variety of nice, high-quality welcome drinks and hot teas. One odd thing about the lobby is the restroom; it's a single unisex room with a squat toilet. The hotel has 10 floors, with guest rooms on levels 8 to 10. The 7th floor has a great fitness center and a very organized laundry room with plenty of washers and dryers. Breakfast is served on the 5th floor. It’s a decent Chinese-style spread, but you must get there early. If you show up after 9:00 AM, there’s usually nothing left to eat. The hallways are carpeted and don't have any damp smells. Inside the room, the space is surprisingly large—much bigger than average. The air conditioning and heating system is modern, automatic, and very easy to control. The bed is soft and the duvet is clean, though both the pillows and the blanket are a bit thinner than what you’d find in most hotels. Because the room is so big and lacks a refrigerator, it can feel a bit empty. There is a 50-inch TV, but you have to pay extra if you want to watch movies. A nice touch was the heated eye mask provided, which really helped with sleep. The bathroom is a bit of a mixed bag. It has an older style toilet without a bidet hose. While the wet and dry areas are well-separated by a door that seals perfectly, there is a constant unpleasant smell coming from the drains, likely due to the age of the building. They provide all the basic toiletries and towels, but the shampoo and soap labels are only in Chinese, and there are no plastic slippers for the bathroom. The water pressure is strong, which is a plus. One major downside is the noise. The floors are laminate wood, so you can hear every footstep and ”thud” from the room above you. If you have loud neighbors, it can definitely disturb your sleep at night. Overall, it's a decent stay if you don't mind the remote location, but there are definitely some pros and cons to consider.

GGuest UserWe had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, cosy, and surprisingly spacious, offering excellent value for money. The staff were friendly, helpful, and highly responsive via WeChat, which made communication very convenient throughout our stay. Special thanks to Xiao Liu and Xiao Zhao! There are a couple of areas for improvement. The hotel is not actually within the Kuanzhai Alley area as we had expected, and there is not much to explore within the immediate surroundings. In addition, the soundproofing could be better, as some noise from outside and neighboring rooms could occasionally be heard. That said, the cleanliness, comfort, and generous room size more than made up for these minor drawbacks. Overall, it was a great stay, and we would gladly consider staying here again.

There are tons of great food options and shops nearby, which I loved! 😋 I really liked the design of the Orange Hotel; the color scheme is quite charming. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were beautiful and kind, offering warm and attentive service with smiles that brightened my whole day. The room and bathroom designs were very tasteful, with a lovely vintage vibe. The amenities were excellent – a rain shower, smart toilet, and convenient sink. The room itself was clean and tidy, with plenty of natural light. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning was fresh and quiet, allowing me to get a fantastic night's sleep and shake off travel fatigue. I have to give a special shout-out to the large TV in the room. It has smart screen mirroring, and the sound quality of the speakers was outstanding – listening to music felt layered and立䜓 (three-dimensional) 👍👍👍. Finally, I really appreciated the thoughtful souvenir gift from the hotel 🎁. Thank you 🙏. I'll definitely choose the Orange Hotel brand again next time!

GGuest UserThe first thing I would like to mention is the attentive and friendly staff: reception, at breakfast, room cleaning - everyone was kind, friendly and helpful in everything. We got quick responses to our enquiries on Wechat - in the evening we asked about the use of appliances and a kind lady came and showed us how to use the washing machine and air conditioning. The girl at reception (unfortunately I didn't remember the name, but it's a very nice girl with glasses) always answered any questions we had. Also, she even remembered our parcels from Taobao ordered to the hotel and when she saw us, she told us they had arrived. And then helped us unpack them. You could really feel the care in all the actions. Next is a lovely big room with beautiful decor. The large round bed is cosy and soft and the bed linen is changed on request. Good housekeeping. Every day we had towels changed and bottles of water replenished. In addition, we could always get extra water in the lobby. And noticing that we leave the room later, they did not disturb us early in the morning. The room was quiet! Although there was one day when the tarmac was being laid at night outside with all the accompanying noise, but it really does not apply to the hotel. The air conditioning and fridge worked perfectly. We were pleased with the presence of a mini washing machine (laundry detergent is available and replenished) and steamer in the room - such is not often met in hotels. The hairdryer had good sufficient power. Sockets are universal. A bonus was a large mirror in the bathroom and a full-length mirror in the hall. Also on one of the days we were unexpectedly brought a plate of fruit in the room, it was very nice! The lift to the floors with hotel rooms is operated by guest cards, which guarantees more security. To name things that could be improved, it is a bit dim lighting in the room. Also the tap in the bathroom sink was tight and seemed a little unreliable. We had breakfast included - good, reasonably varied choice of food. The staff are friendly and keep a good eye on everything. They also remembered my preferences: I like to drink tea in the morning - and at one point they themselves came over and asked me if they could make me tea... so thoughtful! There is also afternoon tea with desserts in the lobby. Plus to the above, we like the location of the hotel - convenient, it's in an important central area with lots of shops, cafes, parks around, and metro stations close by. The only thing is, if you're with multiple suitcases, consider that the path itself from the metro is nice but uneven and runs along knobbly tiles and crowded narrow sections. Probably the best option with suitcases would be to take a taxi. Our stay all week was excellent. This is a hotel we would love to return to. Thank you!

BBaiyixiongI have planned to go to Shouzhuo several times in the past few years, but I missed it because of things. This time the Dragon Boat Festival finally happened. Shouzhuo is located deep in the Bamboo Sea. The roads are easy to walk and the transportation is very convenient, but you have to be careful when you miss the bus sometimes. Once you enter the Bamboo Sea, your mood will become very good, and the temperature is a few degrees lower than in the city. There is no need to turn on the air conditioning in the room, just turn on the fan and it will be cool. The inn has its own parking lot and charging stations. As soon as you enter the inn, you are attracted by the architecture and scenery. It is definitely a good place to relax and unwind. Every step is a view. The room was neat and clean and it was so comfortable. The service is excellent. Every staff member is very enthusiastic and will try their best to meet any request. Any words mentioned unintentionally will be taken seriously by them. In the afternoon, a food box was given for afternoon tea, and in the evening there was rice noodles and fermented glutinous rice as a midnight snack. The breakfast was a customized meal, which was rich and delicious. I made a reservation for dinner and chose a meal price of 200 per person. I must make a reservation one day in advance. It's delicious and the portions are so generous that several tables nearby said they couldn't finish it. There are various activities such as pot throwing and archery in the inn. There is also a rice dumpling making activity on the afternoon of Dragon Boat Festival. You can choose to cook dinner for dinner or take it home. In the afternoon, the staff took us out to go fishing for crabs. The staff brought small buckets and nets to accompany us all the time. Let’s go out to watch fireflies together at 9pm. There will be more fireflies in July and August. At night, you can catch a lot of crabs in the river ditch in front of the inn. With this kind of comfortable life, I plan to stay for a few more days during the summer vacation. The room is very big. The children sleep in the attic and we sleep below. The tatami is super big and suitable for reading and drinking tea. The room is equipped with air conditioners, fans, electric blankets and heaters. I thought the curtains would let light through, but I didn't expect them to be very suitable and I could have a good night's sleep. Eye masks and earplugs are also provided in the room, but of course they are not needed. Summer is here, so the inn can prepare more ice cubes or cold beverages and beers, suitable for everyone’s late-night snacks. All in all 100 points, see you in the summer!

GGuest UserI arrived at Holiday Inn Chengdu Airport physically and mentally exhausted. My luggage was heavy, I hadn't eaten all day, and I needed a hot shower. From the moment my check-in began, the ladies at the desk, were quick, clear, and considerate. The two ladies scheduled my next day shuttle service and issued me a meal voucher. It took less than 20 minutes.  My dinning experience was priceless. As a foreigner with limited Chinese, I struggled but along with the help of a young man by the name of Baird Z. I was able to have a memorable experience. He escorted, served, and supported me throughout my meal. He asked what I enjoyed, he game me recommendations, and stood close by when I ate to ensure I had whatever I needed. He took me to the desert counter and sliced my cheesecake and brought it to my table even though I was with him. He almost brought me to tears when HE added a bit of sugar to my latte and refused to let me stir it. I was exhausted and hungry when I checked into the hotel and by the end of dinner it was hard to hold back the tears. His service meant the world to me at a time when kindness, respect, and service are at an all time low. His service was a reminder that people matter in every moment and little did he know I was struggling. I'd like to add that Krystal W. from the front desk was one of the young ladies that assisted me a few times and her service was superior! She answered a plethora of questions and at times we had to translate, but she never showed frustration. My encounter with these two employees will be touted to whomever will listen as I value customer service. If needed, I will be a repeat customer!

GGuest UserThis was my first time visiting Chengdu, and despite the hot weather, the Meihao R Hotel was a great find. They offer free afternoon tea, and the green tea was especially delicious. In the evenings, there's a complimentary late-night congee and dessert soup. The hotel also has a free laundry room with washers and dryers. I had planned to bring old clothes to just discard after wearing, but with the laundry service, I could wear my nice clothes and wash them clean! The room even came with a charging cable, which was a lifesaver since I forgot mine. The breakfast selection was impressive, and I particularly enjoyed the freshly made noodles. Beyond the usual rice and flour noodles, I was pleasantly surprised to find sweet water noodles – absolutely amazing! The various grains and black sesame paste were also very good, and a coffee in the morning was perfect for a pick-me-up. What truly stood out was the front desk's offer to store my luggage for free after check-out, allowing me to pick it up later. This genuinely extends their service beyond the check-out time, something I've never experienced before. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again!
