The hotel staff are very polite, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable when we asked them how to get around to some places. Oh, the breakfast has a blend of Chinese and Western spread. We were given daily afternoon treat - either coffee with mini sized cakes/cookies or Haagen Das ice-ream (your choice).As we have a late evening flight, thank the hotel for their kindness to extend our checkout time.Just 10mins walk away you can find popular brands of handphone models / repair centres (Huawei, Xiaomi, Apple, etc) in shops and in shopping malls.Chunxi Road is bubbling with night life - food streets are plenty, street stalls and branded goods

Really enjoyed our stay at the Hidden House in Chengdu, particularly as the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The views from the room were fantastic and it’s very easy to get everywhere quickly in a DiDi from the hotel. The breakfast was great and the room itself was very nice since we had a big outdoor area. The only slight drawbacks were that we could hear quite some noise from the street (there are a few local bars nearby that have loud music) and some parts of the room weren’t as clean as they could’ve been. However we’d recommend staying here to anyone coming to Chengdu!

Extremely in love with this hotel. Husband chose it for our honeymoon. Room was cosy and clean, with all amenities replenished daily. Linings are clean and the staffs are all very friendly. It is convenient for the receptionists to answer my doubts as I can connect to them via WeChat. The receptionist at lvl 1 (小邱) is kind and helpful. Breakfast is nice, so was afternoon tea. Location is near to IFS and many other food and souvenir shops, perfect for a quick bite or last minute shopping. Thank you for the wonderful experience I had in Chengdu! Will definitely stay again 🥰

The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of choices that we really enjoyed. However, our experience with the room temperature was less than ideal. The bedroom was too hot, and despite trying to lower the temperature, the air conditioning didn’t seem to work. We called the front desk, and although they were responsive, the solution provided was not what we expected. A housekeeping staff member brought us a standing fan and suggested we turn off the air conditioning, turn on the fan, and open the window instead. It wasn’t the most comfortable solution. Overall, the service was polite, but the temperature issue affected our stay.

I love this hotel very much! The hotel is quite old but the room is very clean. There’s even a personal assistant whom you can chat with via WeChat. First of all locating the hotel is not easy because there are no signboards in English. To make matter worse there are several hotels on the same building. The name in English is only indicated next to the elevator button if you manage to locate the elevator. The correct path to the elevator is a small covered alleyway next to the building on the first photo.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. Like the layout of the washroom and thoughtfulness of providing charger for mobile phone. Morning breakfast is also nice with a reasonable wide variety of food to choose from.

This Hotel lobby counter staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave you advice on place to eat and visit. Hotel and room was clean and well maintain. Laundry was provided free of charge, there is a basket in the room. Dirty clothes just put in the basket bring it down when going out in the morning and collect it when you return in the evening, They will wash for you. Although is near to the main road, it was not noisy. Hotel is very near Line 2 metro station and also 300m to 成都宽窄巷子.

- Safety (This is where the stay at this hotel turned out to be a bad experience to me.): There was a nail sticking out of the floor and I only found out because my partner stepped on it!!
- Air conditioner: another bad experience.. It only worked as a heater so think twice if you’re going to visit when the weather is hot. We ended up sleeping with the window opened.
- Cleanliness: The room is clean but the elevators could use a little decoration and cleaning.
- Service: a little short staff, only one person handling all the customers at the lobby so it took a while checking in to the hotel.
- Location: The only good thing about this hotel. It’s very close to IFS building and metro (line 2) exit A. Make sure you know the hotel name in Chinese. You’ll have to look for it once you come out of the metro.

GGuest User”Create the wilderness in the south, stay humble and return to the countryside”, the name is full of poetry and picturesqueness, but I went there because of the zero negative reviews. I thought what kind of B&B makes everyone like it so much that I can't bear to leave negative reviews. Stayed for one night and it was a really different experience. Simple, ancient style, ancient charm and a bit of Zen. If you wander around the courtyard for nothing, you will find a lot of ingenuity, such as throwing pots, shooting arrows, teasing the parrot that can only bark but cannot speak, and writing calligraphy; you can also watch Meditate, meditate, relax, and forget the troubles of the world with eyes full of green. In front of the hall, there is a cactus owned by Mr. Gu, who is over 80 years old, and it makes me deeply moved. I ate breakfast while smelling the fragrance of books. It was a really different feeling. The breakfast and dinner were exquisite and rich, and many arrangements surprised you. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home, all in all a pleasant trip.

Tten.ten.2020Coming here again in the spring, this inn remains the highlight of my trip.
Imagine having had a rough trip: the cold, intense population density, and tough business meetings. Weary, you get off a late flight with sore legs. You trudge over to the inn, turning the final corner into its warm lights, past the usual check-in time. You have no idea how things could go; some hotel receptions can be rather unpleasant. Your first brush with Xishu is its simple double glass doors, and the sight of a giant panda statue. You totter past it gingerly, unsure if anyone is awake at such a late hour.
Ah.
But someone is.
A youthful girl smiles gently at you over the counter, ”Hello. Check in?”
You smile awkwardly, unsure, ”Yes, I know it's late...”
”No,” She responds softly, ”It's ok. Could I get your passport?”
There wasn't a fuss. She smiles and gets to work quietly, clicking away. You set your luggage down and look around. Behind you, you notice the little courtyard, a cultural icon of traditional chinese architecture. A small fountain sputters, fairy lights are strung above for the spring festival, casting a surreal ambience over everything. Wind chimes jingle faintly. You draw a breath at it all. Small tables and chairs are laid out, welcoming you.
”Your room key,” You turn around to see the youthful girl at the counter smiling gently with a keycard. She briefs you in the same calming tone; wifi, breakfast, washing machines, and even a map of attractions all planned out.
You thank her, reminded of your travel fatigue, and head on up. Your footsteps are dampened by carpet, going in hallways of soothing chinese wooden interior designs. The inn is quiet at this hour, unlike the large hotels that have kids or travel groups. You tap your keycard to get in your room... And a small welcome basket awaits you. Apples and oranges, sweets, tiny little spicy sichuan snacks. The aesthetic of the room remains faithful to the inn, throwing you back down the memory lane... to Japanese ryokans, to Bali's traditional guest villas, or to vacation cottages in Europe.
But something is a little different.
Instead of stripping technology and modern convenience, this inn has woven it into its design. Air conditioning has been set for you. Smart toilet seats detect your presence and keep itself clean. Shower buttons are easy to understand, with a single easily controllable hot water lever. Even the mirror at the bathroom sink detects your presence and lights up, with a heating coil that prevents it from fogging on mornings.
You wash up.
Sleep.
The next day, you wake for breakfast, barely after the sun had broken the steel gray of dawn, now you witness the inn's courtyard in the day. Nobody is seated outside yet in such low temperatures, but you take a moment to look around and just soak in the ambience.
Uninterrupted.
When you finally turn towards reception, you notice a pair youthful girls at the counter. Both quietly smiling and unassuming. Calming, instead of the forced professionalism at other hotels.
There's something real here. A sincerity. A genuine kindness that permeates, perhaps from proximity to the monastery? Perhaps the unique historic district? Perhaps the owner and managers made it this way.
The girls check your breakfast options again, in case you might have changed your mind. You totter into the resturant, barely awake, but a fresh cup of nespresso hits you quickly, a familiar aroma from home in a land 12,000km away from home.
And then fruits.
Milk.
Toast bread.
Butter!
Sichuan noodles in the morning.
Exotic dumplings.
Eggs sunny side up.
By the time breakfast is done, you know you will be returning here again.
And again.

I've made friends with the hotel staff.

LLinjianfeiEverything was very satisfactory. One of the important reasons was that the lady who checked us in said it was her first day at work, but she had a very good attitude, provided good service and was very attentive. Later, she recommended us a hot pot restaurant, which became the best restaurant in our two-day trip to Chengdu. The hotel is quiet, the bedding is comfortable, and there is plenty of hot water. There is a bar and cafe downstairs, and there are many breakfast shops nearby. The subway entrance is very close and only takes three minutes to walk. Except that the room is a little small, everything is very comfortable, but the price is also cost-effective. I will come again next time and recommend it to my friends.

AAnonymous UserYesterday, I took my children to stay at the Louis Castle Bronze Hotel in Chengdu. The exterior is unique and perfectly restores the romance and luxury of the French castle. The European classical style building has a majestic exterior, exquisite carvings, and retro columns. Every detail shows ingenuity, making people feel as if they are in a castle in the Middle Ages in Europe. As soon as you enter the door, there is a huge pink poodle, which is very eye-catching.
The interior of the hotel was designed by Hong Kong Zhengzhong Design Office (CCD), which cleverly combines the leisure of Jinguan City with the romantic elements of France. The warm-toned lighting in the lobby is matched with exquisite ornaments to create an elegant atmosphere. The room is spacious and bright, with exquisite decoration. The smart device Xiaodu can control both the lights and the curtains, which is very convenient. The bedding is soft and comfortable, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the toiletries are of high quality.
From check-in to check-out, the hotel's service is impeccable. The front desk housekeeper Amy 🌜🌜🌜 was warm and thoughtful, and the procedures were quick. She also introduced the hotel facilities and surrounding attractions to me. My luggage was delivered to the room in person, and the express delivery was also delivered directly. He also patiently explained and provided a more comfortable and larger room for me and my child. Every employee I met in the hotel would greet me with a smile, which made people feel warm. The room service responded quickly and could meet the various needs of guests in a timely manner.
The hotel has an excellent geographical location and complete surrounding supporting facilities. There are many shopping malls nearby, such as Renhe New City Shopping Center, Mofang Shopping Center, etc., which are very convenient for shopping. There are also many restaurants, whether it is Sichuan cuisine, Cantonese cuisine or Western cuisine, which can meet the taste needs of different guests.
The hotel also includes a rich breakfast. Compared with other French-themed hotels of the same type, the price here is more affordable, allowing guests to enjoy a luxurious experience at a reasonable price.

The bed is good, the mattress is good, there is a projector, cute decorations, hot water to drink, the bathroom is clean, there is a mirror with lights, which is very cute. It is worth the price. The accommodation is near the selfie panda, the dam glow, and it is only 8 yuan from the bus station. It is very convenient to take the D I D I. There are also restaurants around the accommodation. If you want to stay in this city, it is very convenient.

JJaneyyy89This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms.
Some noteworthy details:
- Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort.
- The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include:
(a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now!
(b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room
(c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C.
(d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold.
- Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them.
- We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away.
- We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2.
- Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too.
- We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests.
Areas of improvement:
- Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake.
- The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper.
- Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor).

GGuest User1) Subway station is 30 seconds right across the road.
2) Location is good because it is enveloped by a few famous narrow alleys selling handicraft, snacks, desserts, souvenirs, Chinese artwork etc, and have endless food stalls, coffee shops that surround the hotel, buzzing with activities all day till at least 11pm.
3) Hotel staff speak minimal English but they do understand it albeit not able to converse freely. Naturally using PTH is best.
4) Staff in the entire hotel are very friendly, courteous, pleasant and accommodating, trying to help in any way possible.
5) Bespectacled night manageress in a black suit was very welcoming and sweet. She offered to upgrade us when the room originally assigned for us was not as quiet as we had requested when we booked it. She led us to see the original one ( 2/F )and the other one ( the quieter one on 3/F ) and let us choose.
6) The upgraded room ( 3/F ) was a suite and it was really nice --- very quiet with courtyard view and tasteful lay out.
7) Cannot praise enough for the delightful suite -- spacious and elegant ; super clean ; smells nice , refreshing and just right not overwhelming ; white crispy bed linen ; daily turn down service; endless supply of fresh bottled water on daily basis ; spotless tumbler and fresh bottle of water by the bedside table every evening; everything you touch is spotless ; wooden flooring matching Chinese wooden furniture in simple design giving out this classy Chinese feel ; free to consume anything for the 1st time in the mini bar ; tea & coffee replenished daily ; kettle and coffee machine; free stationery like scissors, stapler, clips, pencil and pens etc; toiletries like vanity set, combs, toothbrush etc replenished daily ; spacious bathroom with double wash basins and clean white towels ; wash basins in rose gold but not tacky; shower drainage not smooth on 1st night but they fixed it and no prob thereafter ; water pressure from shower was good and plenty of marble top inside shower room for your own toiletries ; bathtub with fresh rose petals on 1st night and various types of bath salt ; big screen to watch telly while in tub ; separate toilet near living room; ample wardrobe space and power operated blinds and black out blinds. They provide steam iron on request but it would be better to have a proper flat iron if you want to press pants and other thicker harder material. Steam iron is only good for silk or plain cotton. Even linen is better with a flat iron.
8) This is a 100% Chinese ambience hotel from lobby to our suite but nothing is gaudy or ostentatious because everything is simple, no fuss, low-key, very clean, good architecture, functional and all colour combo is soothing to the eyes.
9) We ate at their restaurant the 1st night and food was ok -- dan dan noodles slightly overcooked so it was a bit mushy. Fried rice was a huge serving with fresh shrimps and nicely cooked. Tea could be hotter. Service was attentive, efficient and proper.

CCeeVieAreThis is my first visit to Chengdu and Qionglai city. This hotel or courtyard stay is affiliated to Wyndham Garden along Wenjun Street i.e. big square with various shops for shopping (sports attire brands, yinshion, Miniso), dining and decors perfect for social media posting. Dining options include McD, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Chagee, Naixue, Heytea, Mixue and local brand dining or beverage operators. Outside the square/Wyndham Garden there are Lawson, Family Mart, 7 eleven and local Hongqiao marts(prices lower). Local mini restaurants selling Sichuan food, noodles, dumplings, snacks are also available outside the square/garden, opposite AllAboutLove bakery and Naixue outlet.
Qionglai city is closely associated with a historical female poet called Zhuo Wenjun. Her residence and Wenjun well built during Han Dynasty is located 10-15 mins walk from Wyndham Garden. Look for Bank of China branch and walk across the street to reach China Construction Bank branch
Then walk straight down until you see a public toilet on your right and cross the street. Walk until you see an open space carpark and go in the carpark you will find Wenjun Residence on your left, entry is free.
You may book a car to Qionglai city from Tianfu airport but be prepared to pay RMB400+ equivalent using trip app. Going back to Chengdu city by car is about RMB200. Standby with some cash if you encounter QR code scan problem. There are also buses and trains options to reach here.
1 -0.5 hours drive you can visit famous Tiantai Mountain, Pingle Ancient Town, Bamboo Canyon Scenic Area ( went there and love it❤️❤️❤) , Yuanwozi winery, etc. ️
My stay was very refreshing and Manager Ma was very helpful and accommodating to all my queries. My travelling plans to nearby attractions was fulfilled despite unfavourable weather, drizzling 2 days non stop. I would recommend for atleast 2 night stays to enjoy 1 day outskirt trip + 1 day chill in the room and enjoy backyard outdoor onsen to relax. Breakfast buffet include western (cereal/salad/eggs/sausages/ham/fries/bread), dimsum, soup, cakoi and soya bean, 3x types of porridges and condiments, local breakfast ( starter or salad, fried rice, meat and vegetable dishes), deserts, local fruits and cut fruits. Hotel staff can also help to order takeouts for you.
