Chengdu Hotels with Pools

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Traveling with a large dog, it's usually hard to find a suitable hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised by how pet-friendly Chengdu is. We even stayed at the most dog-friendly spot by Huanhua Creek! The location is excellent, right next to Huanhua Creek Park, and within a 10-minute walk to Du Fu Thatched Cottage and Sichuan Museum. It was incredibly quiet at night, so even I, an insomniac, slept really well! 👍 The breakfast was also delicious, and the laundry room was super convenient. The staff even helped with washing and delivery – service at its best! I especially loved the hotel staff; they were incredibly nice to my dog, showing genuine care. They even called my dog by name when we came and went. One day, I didn't bring my dog to the restaurant for a meal, and a kind lady proactively packed some food for us. The front desk also had two very friendly parrots, always 'on duty.' We had a very comfortable three-day stay. This will definitely be my top choice when I return to Chengdu! ⭐

The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, so I slept very well. The service was warm and attentive, and the location was convenient for getting around. The overall experience exceeded my expectations, offering great value for money. The breakfast was rich and delicious. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip. I stumbled upon this hotel by chance. While dining in the restaurant, I discovered there's a pool inside, which immediately set a perfect vacation vibe. Breakfast by the pool, a relaxing swim – it was delightful. The hotel's cafe offers a wide variety of food, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. The room was clean and tidy; though not huge, it had all the necessary functions and was very well-equipped. They even offer late-night snacks! I arrived back late, but they thoughtfully kept mine at the front desk for me, which was incredibly heartwarming. The service was very warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. If you're traveling to Chengdu, this is an excellent choice. It's just a few minutes' walk from Huapaifang Metro Station! Next time, let's meet here for a vacation, chat about travel and food; life is always full of expectations…

The Xishang Hotel offers an amazing experience with attentive and prompt butler service. The food is made with fresh local ingredients and tastes authentic and delicious. The private hot spring is secluded and quiet, and the environment is tranquil and a great escape from the summer heat. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and I highly recommend it.

Excellent and spacious room, and got a quiet room upon request. Very comfortable, had two good night sleep after traveling in Chuanxi for a week. Excellent place to recuperate. There’s even a corner near the reception where you can borrow books to read (I do think this is thoughtful and the books selection were of good taste). Super near to shopping district taikuli, and chunxi pedestrian street. ＜ 10 minutes walk to the IFS building where there’s a “climbing panda”, this is the spot where u can get direct bus to sanxingdui museum and the 熊猫基地. Makes it very convenient to travel around, metro station also very near though we didn’t use. Overall a very pleasant stay.

This hotel offers incredible value for money! The location is fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere, and the staff are incredibly enthusiastic. When I needed some water late at night, they responded quickly and delivered it. A big plus is that all the beds in the two-bedroom apartments are king-sized, which is important because most other apartment-style hotels typically have a 1.5-meter small bed in the second bedroom. The room comes fully equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator, and stovetop, and the decor is very cozy. The large dining table in the restaurant is super convenient for takeout or cooking and enjoying meals and drinks together – an experience you just don't get at a standard hotel. A special shout-out to the cleaning staff who tidied up everything perfectly the next day!

The room itself was beautifully decorated, but the biggest surprise was the excellent hotel service, especially from Lotus, our concierge. Not only did she help me receive a delivery, but she also looked after the fresh produce it contained and even helped me carry things up and down. She deserves a special shout-out, as she really kicked off my trip to Chengdu and the snowy mountains on a high note!

This is my second stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu, and as always, the service is excellent. The breakfast is fantastic, and the view is stunning! 😎 Located in the city center, it's perfect for both business travelers and individual tourists. Downstairs, you'll find the original Chen Mapo Tofu and Yang Mala Tang restaurants, great for late-night cravings. Meria was very thoughtful, sending chocolates and yogurt. After breakfast, I grabbed two small bags of loose candies to snack on later. Everything was a wonderful experience; I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Every summer, I come to Mount Qingcheng, and I've pretty much stayed at all the famous hotels and guesthouses here, with Six Senses being the only one left. So I decided to stay for a night. The reason I waited so long to try Six Senses is because of the mixed reviews online – some praise it to the heavens, others tear it down, making me hesitant to spend money unnecessarily. However, since I've practically stayed everywhere else, I finally gave in to the urge to check out Six Senses! Let me start with the conclusion: the experience was truly disappointing, even a huge letdown! Why? First, its location right next to the Qingcheng Mountain High-Speed Rail Station means there's no sense of secluded retreat at all, which completely undermines the Six Senses brand's reputation for seclusion. Upon entering, it felt hot and stuffy everywhere, not cool at all. This is because the vegetation around the hotel is too sparse, and the trees aren't lush, causing the ground to be scorched. It felt like I had entered a farmhouse guesthouse in Qingcheng Mountain town, completely lacking the ethereal charm of Mount Qingcheng. Moreover, the hotel doesn't have large water features, further diminishing any sense of vibrancy! To put it bluntly, it's not even as good as the adjacent Howard Johnson Qingcheng, which has an earthy charm that makes you feel refreshed and peaceful as soon as you enter. Furthermore, the overall design of the hotel is terribly poor; it's a maze with no clear hierarchy or aesthetic appeal. The room design is even worse, truly embodying the 'upscale farmhouse' aesthetic – neither ancient nor modern, neither rustic nor sophisticated. The interior space of the room is partitioned into small compartments, the lighting is dim, and the balcony is incredibly tiny and mosquito-ridden, making it impossible to relax and enjoy a vacation! The flow within the room is chaotic; the minibar and fridge are placed next to the bed, and when you want to turn off the lights for sleep, you can't find the switch, having to get up and go to the sofa to turn it off. The fan is impossible to turn off easily, and there are hardly any power outlets for phones and laptops! I don't know which designer came up with this anti-human design; it's as if they deliberately made guests uncomfortable! What's even more ridiculous is that the king room and garden room are designed with one above the other, making it easy to see people downstairs from upstairs! Is this to make it convenient for neighbors to visit? It's so 'down-to-earth' that it feels like living in a residential complex! Where's the vacation feeling in that? In short, the stay was very unpleasant. The room wasn't spacious enough, nor was it cozy! You couldn't comfortably lie down or sit up! The room design of Six Senses lacks the grandeur of Qingcheng Songpin, the style of Zuowang Senlin, the ethereal quality of Qingxia Shanju, and the层次感 (sense of layering) of Qingcheng Mountain Resort! However, Six Senses does have its merits, primarily its excellent service. Before check-in, they call to confirm, and after check-in, a butler contacts you, sending various reminders throughout your stay and assisting with booking complimentary services within the hotel. If anything is needed in the room, just ask, and it's delivered immediately. This aspect was quite satisfactory; the service can be said to be the best among all hotels in Qingcheng Mountain, and this alone lives up to the Six Senses brand. Also, the breakfast variety is quite rich and of good quality; the yogurt is homemade by the hotel, and the cherry tomatoes are homegrown. The only inconvenience is having to run up and down between floors in the restaurant to get food! To summarize, Six Senses is worth at most 1,000 yuan per night. Such a high room rate is simply overpriced and a rip-off. Staying there a second time would be a complete waste of money!
